We were greeted as soon as we arrived, and I loved seeing the variety of products they carried. There were so many cool household items, clothing pieces, and of course, fragrance! We spent most of our time in the fragrance section, and the associate helping us was incredibly knowledgeable and helpful. She made the experience even more enjoyable and gave us plenty of time to explore and smell different fragrances. Such a unique and fun place to shop! Some were great and others were really not engaged and standoffish. The store is definitely expensive. I saw a few things I wanted and will be coming back for later. I was able to find a great Maison Berger (this was the last one and was the display) and since it was my first time I got 10% off. I sincerely wished that I had gotten the name of the wonderful man, who was working at Bering's and who immediately began helping me find what I needed to buy. He literally walked me around, asking others who also worked there, where to find these items. Of course we ended up in the right section with a multitude of selections which I truly appreciated. I found what I needed and I was a very happy customer! This person's excellent professional service was extremely appreciated. The designers we have worked with have been extraordinarily helpful and kind. They have walked us through different possibilities with their neat design software. We ended up with pieces we cherish and the delivery fee was usually waived or low. We did have one hiccup with a smaller item not having all the required parts but one call to Ballard customer service and it was handled by a very genteel, sweet customer service rep. Really great store where we enjoy shopping! Ballard often has sales, so I recommend keeping an eye out and going in at strategic times of year. One of our visits was right before a seasonal change and our designer offered us a floor model at a discount! Also, the catalogs and website are great resources! Some items may be overpriced, but we have found the quality of our purchases to be fair for the prices we have paid so far. I suggest checking out their website first before coming in and letting the designers know your limits. We never felt looked down upon for being clear with the designers about our budget or tastes. Lastly, the staff at this location have consistently been welcoming and kind. I generally prefer to enjoying browsing on my own and approaching staff once I have a decision or a question. However, I appreciate that the staff/ designers always ask if they may help or simply greet me warmly. A small display of sincere effort means a lot to so many folks in the digital age. Keep it up!

The staff including Leslye were incredibly kind offering a bit of background on the store (the largest of the 8 stores nationwide) and never making my friend and I feel pressured to buy anything or leave. I think a place like this is an interior designer's dream with antique camel rocking chairs, geod paperweights, various sizes of painting and elaborate wall decor, and unique furniture from lucite to lush fabrics. While the prices were a little higher, I think they understand who they're marketing to, and the quality seems really great on many of their larger ticket items. Their website also shows a lot of their inventory with dimensions (so incredibly smart) so I may scope for a fancy wedding present. If I had the money, I'd definitely love to deck out a house with Mecox goods!
