When I rented the car, she brought it to me in less than 15 minutes. I got the car I wanted and when I noticed it lacked a backup camera, rather than just apologize Colleen took the time to find the right vehicle with the right equipment. She didn't act bothered and actually made it fun. When I brought the vehicle back she remembered me by my first name... even 10 days later! I rent vehicles all the time and this was an outstanding experience from beginning to end and I cannot imagine a better ambassador for Enterprise than Colleen G. I would say she should be promoted to run her own location, but even better I think Enterprise should have her train other employees on how to make it so simple, easy and fun for the consumer. I spoke with Jay the manager and he was very nice also, as were the rest of the staff as I waited for the vehicles to be pulled around, but the star of the show for me was Colleen and I cannot stress that enough. I really hope someone from Enterprise headquarters sees this and she gets some kudos because she deserves it. There could not be a better face for this Enterprise office or Enterprise the company--you could put her in the commercials. They also worked with me, I was running late and got lost on the way to the rental office (new to Eugene). They close at 6 pm and I got there 5 minutes late. They typically always can get you a car, even on short notice (who plans to have their car die and end up in the shop for a week at a time? Not this girl). I've tried calling other places first and they'll always give me the run around and make it feel like a hassle. What's a real prize is needing transportation and being given a hard time by a place that's supposed to be helping you out! Hertz isn't ever a hassle to work with. They don't keep you at the counter for very long during pick up or drop off. They are great at marking down known issues with a car before you drive away instead of hoping you don't notice and you bring it back to get stuck with a bill to fix it. The cars are well cleaned before they re-rent them, that's always a super big plus, nobody likes getting into that icky dirty post someone elses road trip, car. The prices are awesome, I was surprised at the affordability to rent for a week at a time. Note that it's usually a better deal to just go ahead and rent for a week than to do a few days. If you put in a reservation online, it's incredibly simple to pick up on your reservation date. No worries about lack of communication between the Hertz website and local store.

The App isn't the best, but it gets the job done; wish it would allow edits to your reservation. I've called their number to ask a question or clarify something re: a reservation; they are very laid back but everything worked out fine. Our drivers were always early for our 4am pick up for the ridiculously early outbound flights Eugene is famous for. We had friendly & helpful drivers who drove responsibly & the vehicles were clean & comfortable. The price was reasonable - $16 from the Santa Clara area to the airport. We found out there was no need to reserve a pickup at the airport, even for our 11pm arrival; several taxis were waiting to be used at that hour. Our driver explained that they always have a few taxis hanging at the airport until the last flights arrive. We will continue to use them when we visit.

I found a used Volkswagen and contacted them via app. The response was quick! Adam Colbert messaged me almost instantly and was there early the next day to show me the car. I liked the car but after talking about what I needed in a vehicle he showed me other options. Long story short I ended up leaving with a Ford Focus that was even lower in price then what I initially looked at. Adam made sure to understand what I needed- a car that I can pay off quickly and not have to worry about repairing (offered me an optional warranty for peace of mind) He has helped me with all my questions. I had a little hiccup with my car (a cap need tightened) but he made sure it was set straight ASAP. The whole experience was great and went way smoother then I could have imagined. We bought a new ID4 for my wife and I and a used Chevy Bolt for my daughter from them. On both cars, they added a "Security Registration" $449 fee to the price. They claim this will pay out $5,000 if the car gets stolen. We have insurance and don't need this, but they say it is impossible to remove that charge from the price of the car. Just a cash grab by the dealer. The Bolt we bought had faulty tire pressure monitors and needed and alignment. No problem. If we bought the car (this was on the weekend) Monday someone would call us and they would get it in and have these items taken care of. The very unfriendly F&I guy even had us sign a paper that they owed this work to us. Two weeks later, nobody had contacted us to do this, despite reaching out to them again and getting assurance again that it would be taken care of. The same week our ID4 has a recall, one that VW called me about and urged me to do ASAP. Scheduled an appointment, took it in and the service manager explained it was a software update that could take up to three days. No problem, just get us a loaner and we'll leave it, as this is a car my wife and I share. No loaners are available and after inquiring about when would be a good time to get this recall done when we could get a loaner, I was told there is no good time and loaners are rarely available. So we have to go without getting this important safety recall done... We've enjoyed owning many VWs and Audis in the past but the extra charges, and the poor service department will have us going elsewhere in the future for cars.
