Well, our first time in a long time, and probably the last We ordered pizza for delivery, expected time was an hour in which we got the order on time. Our issue is the delivery driver. We clearly stated the apartment entry code, and we also clearly stated to knock on door and leave at door on the receipt...that was ignored completely. This was ignored by the delivery driver who had the balls to tell us to "go pick it up next time" at the end of our call because we said we would tip later. Just stopped in for a quick slice of pizza and was pleasantly surprised. The pizza is that good old fashioned pizza, not artsy fartsy. The dough was crispy on the bottom with a good chew. As someone who just moved to the area we were on the hunt for great pizza. I am from the hudson area and frequented your others stores regularly in the past. I was amazed when we found you had a Dover location. All I can say is thank you cause no one elses pizza compares to your's up here always hot and fresh. Today we had an issue with online ordering which never happens. Must just be friday the 13th lol. Ordered on the phone and ask them please do not burn my pizza. I like to reheat it and I told them make it light to medium. It was delivered and the bacon was all burnt and even the driver agreed. I gave the driver a tip and called up Kendall Pond. Unbelievably rude woman that literally told me my pizza wasn't burnt and was so argumentative. Needless to say, nothing to eat that night and she hung up on me. I know the Covid has changed things but please ask your employees to respect people. Really love their Grilled Chicken Greek salads! The chicken is so moist and delicious! Prices are a bit hirer than other typical sub/pizza shops but the quality and size of the portions is worth it. Also I love the order online capability as you can just repeat previous orders (we typically order 3-4 different items more frequently). The Grilled Chicken or Steak Tip dinner with rice pilaf and side salad (I substitute steamed broccoli in place of the salad) is delicious and lasts me 2 meals! The Loyalty program also is awesome. I was there with my children about 30 minutes before they closed and at 7:55 they shut off the lights. We were almost done eating maybe another 5 minutes but I felt that was rude. We knew it was closing at 8:00. But to shut off the lights really??? They also turned on the cold air. We were a paying customer and were cognizant they were closing. May not go back. I will simply never understand what makes people choose La Festa pizza over Kendall Pond. KP's pizza is cheesier, tastier *and* cheaper. I'm writing this review because I was so looking forward to tonight's order of what would've been a large cheese and large house pizza, but alas, they were closed. Voicemail stated COVID protocol and extreme staff shortages. In no capacity am I upset about this. It does cause me to wonder what Dover would be like without this little gem of a place though, and that thought is dark. Real dark. I wish I could afford to work there, because I would if it meant keeping the place running. I love it that much. Whenever we have their pizza (or wings, or antipasto salad,) it always brings us joy. Thank you for salvaging my dinner tonight! After being extremely disappointed by Suppas, I turned to Kendall Pond Pizza. They turned this frown upside down. The gyro dinner was delicious,fries were good for delivery fries, couldn't stop eating them. The Italian wings are pretty good, would have been a little better with some sauce, though that was my fault for not choosing one. When I called to order I was never given a delivery time just a as soon as possible. To my surprise it apparently takes over an hour to make and deliver 2 Gyro dinners, when you live 10 minutes away. I'm going to tell you the story of the night I thought I was going to die. It is a drizzly Saturday night. My roommate, Jenna, and I were watching some Netflix. We had both gotten into the show, Sherlock, and had just started an episode when we decided to order a pizza. I am pretty strictly anti-Dominoes, so we opted to try Kendall Pond. We ordered a large mushroom pizza and a caesar salad and were told to expect about half an hour. They took down my phone number and we resumed the episode. Some context about my apartment: We live on the second floor of a three family home. The front door to the outside is always locked. You have to enter the front door, go up the stairs, and our door is on the left. Our living room couch is in direct view of the kitchen window. We have a fire escape that leads up to said window. Some context about this episode of Sherlock: "The Blind Banker." In the episode, a series of seemingly random, but connected, people end up dead. Different apartments and establishments were broken into with no sign of forced entry. Benedict Cumberbatch makes an observation that the killer basically scaled the side of buildings and slid inside. We were about an hour into the episode when Sherlock ended up fighting off an intruder who was still in a victim's apartment when he went to investigate. Naturally, we are very on edge. That is when we hear a loud knock and the kitchen window and nearly shit our pants. It is about 8:45 PM and dark, so all we see is an outline of a hooded figure outside our window. We jump up off the couch and scream a scream not unlike that of Kevin McCallister in Home Alone. This was how it was going to end. Our apartment backed up to one of Dover's less desirable neighborhoods, and I vowed in that moment to break my lease no matter the legal ramifications. Then, I saw it. The faint outline of a large pizza box in the hand of the hooded figure. It all became clear. I opened the kitchen window to retrieve the pizza from the boy on our fire escape. He insisted that the front door was locked, so he tried to find another entrance. He did not think to ring the bell, or call my cell phone, but instead demonstrated his dedication with a real-life demonstration of the Melissa Etheridge song, "Come To My Window." I came back inside to a wilted salad (a product of being rested on the pizza prior to window delivery), a lukewarm pizza, and heart palpitations unrelated to my fast food choices of the day. There are plenty of good restaurants in Dover, this place has gone downhill. We have been ordering from here occasionally for years. We took our family there and ordered close to $89.48 worth of food and gave a $20 tip. My son ordered a gyro dinner with chicken. The order came out and it was not chicken. We explained and brought the sandwich back up to the register and were told they would speak with the cook about the mix up. He came back out and said the cook said there was nothing they could do. They would not do anything. He said if we want chicken, we could order a chicken wrap or something else on the menu. I would no longer recommend this restaurant. read more

Finally got out of my La Festa rut and went to check out Kendall Pond. Not too bad, but there was way too much cheese on the pizza which made it pretty greasy. A lot cheaper than La Festa though. I have to completely edit my review of this restaurant. When I first reviewed Kendall Pond, I wasn't a fan of their pizza but a great fan of their subs. Kendall Pond Pizza is the one place that My husband and I order from when we order out. We absolutely love it. The subs are very tasty and my husband loves their calzones (especially the meatball!) Their pizza still doesn't win me over only because my preference is a thick doughy crust and they're more of a thinner crunchier crust. but that's really not due to lack of talent. I also am very impressed with every employee that we've encountered, they've all been nice, respectful and catered to us when we've been in for lunch. They are wonderful. Lastly, their hours are great! they do not close early, and they have the option of ordering online whether you want to pick it up or get it delivered. This is convenience we do not get from every place that we dine. This is why we are so apt to go for Kendall Pond first, aside from their tasty food. :) I highly recommend a stop in or an online order from them. The Steak and Cheese is awesome!! read more

Why this place would get low ratings is a mystery to me. Ashley and company make wonderful creations sold by the slice. The pizza is cheesy. The steak bomb is the best in Dover. (Riverbend is overpriced, understuffed, and all bread). They offer 20oz draft on Stoneface. Delivery is prompt and food is always hot. I make sure I introduce anyone I know to Kenadall Pond. Recently ordered takeout from here, the food was really good and the customer service seemed great. My only complaint is that it was far too overpriced for what I got. (Which was a steak tip salad, there was about 4-5 small pieces of steak but no salad...) I would order from here again, because like I said it was good and they deliver, with no minimum $ amount.. Their onion rings are amazingly delicious. Also their subs are pretty fantastic. Their dinners are really good too, they all come with a yummy salad. This is our go-to takeout place on nights we don't feel like cooking. They also deliver, which is fantastic. We are not a big fan of their pizza, but then again, we are not fans of deep dish or their crust style in general so we are a bit biased. Their buffalo chicken sandwich is AMAZING. I saw what someone wrote about the staff being inconsiderate "punks" to customers. We've never had that experience. I don't know what happened to this place. I started going there around the time they were doing the Fenway Park mural and things were great. This was my go-to place. Food was good and these was always one guy there who ran a real tight ship. Over time, they changed the way they did pizza and it got greasy like every other pizza joint; maybe bought a different type of cheese, who knows. So nothing that really makes them stand out anymore.
