Joe's is the only place I've ever been outside of New York that lives up to their New York pizza claim. If your adventurous, try ordering a cheese pizza with red sauce and a white cheeze pizza Take a slice from each. Take the red slice, turn it upside down, and press it down on the white slice so that the crusts if both are on the outsude. Then eat it like a sandwich and get ready for a flavor explosion. I also got turned onto calzones in New York, which I never tried before and fell in love with them. Joe's makes the best calzone I've ever had. Period. If you've tried calzones and didn't like them, you may have had a bad one. If you like pizza, you'll probably like a calzone that's done right. Joe's calzones are better than the rest because they do the dough right. It's not to heavy and it's thick enough not to get soggy. From now on, Joe's is my go to NY pizzeria.

Overall, if you want to feel like you are in the late 70's/early 80's, this is the no frills vibe you'll get. Except in the 1970's the cost of one pizza today could buy dinner for an entire sports team back then.
