Really love the pizza here. My son and I go here at least two a month. I really learned how much I like the pizza when I ate at another flatbread back restaurant in a different city (not the same company) and it was not nearly as good. This pizza place is sooooo good! Love the fire wood oven where you can watch them make pizza. My son loves the menu because they have drawing on the front page of the menu, he was very excited to draw something for the restaurant, it's a good tactic to keep them occupied, lol. So my friend is gluten free so I picked up a couple gluten free pizzas from flatbread in Portsmouth. They only had small available which was fine so I got two of them. They were absolutely delicious to the point that I couldn't even tell it was gluten free. Very very impressed, but with that said both of them were $56. $28 for a small pizza is just wild to me. Maybe I'm just ignorant with the gluten free game and restaurants price gouge for gluten free, but that's just crazy to me. read more

Super cool spot and the wood fire oven is out on the dining room floor which is so unique and fun. They also played awesome throwback music! We ordered a 16" flatbread to share and a side salad. We had reservations and they were somewhat busy so I understand it being delayed but we noticed 4 separate walk ins got seated before us. My BF isn't one to speak up but I evenly went to ask and she accidentally marked us as seated. I was frustrated but I understood things happen. We had only pizzas no apps. Jay's pizza was ok. It honestly didn't have a tone of flavor but I loved the thinness. We also had the Portsmouth Community Flatbread. The veggies were plentiful and gave good flavor. Service was ok, not outstanding. When we saw they offered a vegan pizza, this was on our must do in Portsmouth list. We sat at the bar, and hubby ordered a beer and I a Club soda w/lime. Bartender was super friendly and helpful. We had the Harvest Salad, which was absolutely delicious and one of our fave salads the whole trip. We split the vegan pizza as well. The cook was spot on, with a thin, yet crispy crust. I make vegan pizza a lot, but at home we just don't use cheese and can taste the myriad of veg toppings. Here, the toppings are on vegan mozzarella. Pretty sure it was Myokos' Pourable Vegan Mozzarella, which kind of overwhelmed the taste of the pizza. I highly suggest you request no cheese if you get the vegan pizza. One small flatbread and half a salad was the perfect serving. All flatbreads are freshly cooked in their wood burning ovens. The salads were bright and very fresh. Flatbread Company offers indoor and plenty of outdoor seating. Outside picnic tables all have umbrellas. They're located in the heart of Amesbury.
