They were honest, reliable, and reasonably priced compared with the other termite companies I received quotes from. Some other companies emphasized being local and family-owned for generations, but I felt they overstated the severity of the problem and were slow to follow up on reports. Tim and his team, by contrast, were straightforward, responsive, and easy to work with. Scheduling was simple, and they could usually come out the same day or the next day. I really appreciated their honesty, clear communication, and dependable service during the home-selling process. Highly recommend Tim and his team!

I live in SF and they were more than happy to head out from their HQ in San Jose, so I'm already impressed by the willingness to go the distance (literally). I called on a Thursday and was able to get a free inspection the following Tuesday morning. When you discover termites as a first time homeowner, the stress and budget can get you in the wrong headspace, but the company answered all my questions and reassured me along the way. After the inspection, they were able to schedule a treatment the same Friday. Since my home is a typical SF row house, only the spot treatment was available. They did a thorough inspection and found termite nests in places we'd never thought to look, such as our backyard deck. Since our infestation was scattered, they drilled multiple holes and and pumped the poison and did a good job of matching the wood color. I was honestly surprised on how much of a full inspection they did compared to other companies. They looked at all 3 floors of the house, and the entire perimeter for any other evidence of termites. I was advised on some rotting wood on my window sills, which showed me they actually go above and beyond their scope of work. Although I had a 10/10 experience, I do not want to hire them again (because that means I have termites again lol)

The only problem I have is The Company said " once the termite work is completed they would come out and do a re-inspection at no costs. " They failed to mention it had to be done with them only or they will charge a new termite report for $325.00. Again, No problem if I have to repay. The problem is they agreed to do the re inspection and canceled it a day later due to them not getting the repair job. I told them their prices were 50% higher for simple repairs. Most customers can do the simple repairs or have a contractor friend do it below costs. This is the first time a termite company refused to complete the final inspection in the last 20 years. IT IS BETTER TO PICK A TERMITE COMPANY THAT ONLY DOES THE REPORTS. NO WORK, this way you know they are not trying to make a higher profit on inflated repair jobs.

That was how terrible my flea infestation had gotten. I had gotten rid of them before, but this time it was just more than I could handle. It had simply started with Frontline being ineffectual with their formula (screw you Frontline), but snowballed into one of the most hellish experiences I'd ever gone through. The only reprieve has been through Honest Pest Control. When we had finally given up on trying to "do it ourselves", we found Robert's business. He had the best rate of the 4 services we called. First, he asked what type of medications our animals were on. Since he was spraying both inside and outside, he wanted to make sure his pest-control solutions wouldn't react poorly with our pets. Even we hadn't thought of that... but it just shows how much care he puts into his work and service! Secondly, our fleas REFUSED go away. Even after the first treatment, we still found more fleas. Robert came back immediately free of charge to spray again with a different solution. Even after the second spray, they STILL wouldn't go away. One call later, Robert came back for a THIRD time to spray a new solution. He even surveyed our neighbor's yard to make sure the fleas weren't coming in from that direction. Lastly, Robert even made sure to dump out our dogs' water bowls before we got back home. He wanted to make sure that he wasn't contaminating their food or drink. This was something we normally would've had to taken care of ourselves when we got back home after the spray service, but these small kind actions were what really impressed us with his service. We couldn't be happier with the service and how many times he was willing to come back to re-spray, free of additional charge, making sure he got the job "done". In terms of communication, pricing, and care - you can't do any better than Honest Pest Control. I think after this fiasco, finally biting the bullet to hire a professional service, we won't ever be trying to "do it ourselves" again. Instead, we will be coming back to Robert for all future pest issues!

Homeowner's Video Evidence Exposes Contractor's Damage, Denial, and Harassment…read more A homeowner's ordeal with a repair company reveals troubling behavior--damage denied, intimidation caught on camera, and a lesson for others to document every step. Home repairs can be stressful enough without having to deal with unprofessional conduct. Unfortunately, my experience with this company turned what should have been a simple wall repair into an ordeal marked by property damage, gaslighting, and verbal harassment. During a wall repair at my home, the company's crew--led by a man named Franz--removed the paver grout near a drain pipe, clogged the drain by leaving it uncovered while working, and failed to reinstall it properly afterward. The result was a mess and preventable damage. When I reached out for a repair, instead of taking responsibility, the company denied causing the damage and accused me of lying. I have Ring camera footage showing the entire incident, including before-and-after visuals: the first two images show a clean, newly maintained area; the subsequent photos reveal the careless aftermath of their work. After reading other customer reviews, I discovered I wasn't alone--many homeowners have reported similar experiences of denial and deflection. My advice to others: take photos and videos of your property before any work begins. It's the only way to protect yourself if things go wrong. To make matters worse, I witnessed troubling workplace behavior. On camera, the senior worker berated and swore at his subordinate--a young helper clearly intimidated and mistreated. As someone who works in HR, I reported this incident to their HR department, hoping they would address it professionally. Instead, I believe it made things worse. Days later, four men from the company returned, not to repair the damage but seemingly to intimidate me. Their manager was dismissive, accusatory, and unprofessional. Then, I received an email from the company stating they were "unable to return in order to keep the customer safe"--a statement that felt both manipulative and subtly threatening. I was alone at home at the time; my husband was away. When he returns and sees both the damage and the recorded harassment, he'll be as shocked as I was. The project was managed by our HOA, which had obtained two quotes--one from this company and another from a more professional, courteous firm. We requested the latter, but the HOA choose Franz. It now seems clear why: this company appears to prioritize cost and HOA contracts over quality and homeowner satisfaction. Final Update: After submitting the Ring camera evidence showing their workers' harassment and denial, the company finally agreed to refund part of the cost so I could hire a professional to fix the damage. That refund, to me, is an acknowledgment of wrongdoing. Homeowners deserve better. This experience is a reminder that documentation is your best defense, and that no company--no matter how established--should be allowed to deny responsibility or mistreat customers and employees alike.

We have a flat roof, so the attic is near impossible to work in. But we asked Steven for a quote to insulate the attic, which includes cutting holes throughout the house as well as patching. Super reasonable quote. I ended up chatting with several companies about the rodent proofing, some bids similar, some much higher. But never felt anymore confident than I had with Steven. We agreed to the work, and he and his crew were here the next day. Wow! We will also be having them perform the insulation in the ceiling once we know the rats are gone. Had them complete subfloor insulation as well. Steven and team completed the job last year (just got around to posting). I couldn't believe the work they did in cleaning for such a reasonable price. At the end, he walked me around to show the screens they repaired, concrete used to patch holes, etc. When done, he even put wildlife motion cameras in the attic and basement to make sure everything is gone. He backs this all with a 3 year warranty. Pleasure to deal with and great work. Hire these guys!
