Kelly's Roast Beef
Angelo F.

The best roast beef sandwich in the planet. I wish we had one on the west coast. My first stop after leaving Logan whenever I return to Boston. Sauce, Cheese, pickles... I'm literally crazing one right now!

Outside of both 1/2's of uncooked sandwich

The drive through was a 20+ minute wait for a grilled cheese sandwich and fries. This was 9pm on a Saturday night. What I received was a cold, slapped together, raw sandwich. Pictures are listed below. Certainly not worth the nearly $10.00 I paid. These pictures are 15 minutes after I received it. Looks like 2 or 3 pieces of cheese put in the middle of the bread before cooking. The outside didn't have butter spread evenly on the outside. It wasn't cooked enough to eat. I opened up the sandwich to check it out. Took pictures. Shameful! You should be ashamed of yourselves. If you don't have the staff to run the drive through then close it down. I'm on a tight budget and could of bought a loaf of bread, cheese, and made my own. What a let down. F- rating

Don't get the tuna roll - it's all mayo with a side of tuna - I couldn't even eat it - so nasty

Nothing better than Kelly's. You cannot go wrong. Always fresh, always great. Love coming here in a group, or even alone.

If you're in the Mass area you really need to stop at Kelly's, best roast beef sandwiches, puts that big A fast food place to shame.

We have two little picky eaters and needed convenience, access to parking, and spacious and friendly for toddlers. We thoroughly enjoy Ciao Amici and have been going pretty regularly for the last 2 years. Our usual are the meatballs and carbonara for the kids. For awhile, it was the only way I could get my youngest to eat any protein. It is tender and has the right amount of spices for my youngest to gobble up. The two of them always share the carbonara and slurp it right up. Lastly, my oldest has recently become obsessed with their sauteed mussels and I literally have to negotiate with her to let me eat one. I love the saffron garlic white wine sauce, it is very garlicy and goes so well with the warm bread that they give you. My husband and I have tried a lot of their pasta and seafood with risotto dishes. Recently he has also ventured into their main dishes and still enjoyed it. Overall, great flavors, pasta is al dente, and the perfect portion where you don't feel overly stuffed by the end of the meal. We've tried a few of the places in the North End, and I would say Ciao Amici definitely is on par if not better than some of the places in the North End, plus they have a small parking lot that we've always had access to. My personal favorites are the Spaghetti Shrimp Scampi and Haddock e Risotto. The servers are always attentive and considerate. The -1 star comes from the pace of service. We usually go on the early side and don't have trouble but the few times we've gone when it was a bit busier, we noticed that the food can take awhile to come out and although I am confident everyone is working hard, they may not always be staffed appropriately when t's busy. Lastly, we did order a salad once and it was definitely no frills, but that was exactly how it was stated on the menu. I would not go there for the salad.

I would tell anyone that doesn't like incredibly fatty meat, or that likes their food cooked beyond medium rare to dine elsewhere. The hostess was friendly, we told her we had never been to the restaurant before, she quickly walked us thru the menu. Our waiter came by, we told him we had never been there before. We ordered various dishes, and plates of meat were dropped off. No explanation whatsoever. As he turned to leave, I said again, we'd never been there before. No insight into how best/long to cook anything. Every meat dish was incredibly fatty, like, 2/3rds fat. I placed meat on the grill, it cooked very slowly. I asked him to turn up the temperature as we liked our meats cooked well, so he turned the heat up. At one point he said he was going to swap out the grill-pan, and turned the heat down, while meats were still cooking. This was incredibly frustrating, I felt like food was taking forever to cook, and the longer I sat there staring at the meat, the more annoyed I got. It was all you can eat. We didn't finish our first order of 5 dishes we were so annoyed. It was not worth the money, it was an unejoyable experience. I've only been to a few self-cook Korean restaurants previously, and generally liked them. I think the staff needs to be more aware when someone asks for guidance, that they should try to be more engaged. I left angry, and still hungry.
