I came here with my mom off of reading reviews on yelp. My mom loves to get powder with gel set manicure where they usually do forms. At first there was a misunderstanding since we thought forms were used everywhere. I had Alex and my mom Kelly and both were so kind and patient with us. My mom ended up getting a powder French and said Kelly was very gentle and considerate of my moms thin nails. Alex was very gentle with mine as well and Kelly honored our 15% discount when it came time to pay! I came here two weeks ago for the first time. I found this place on yelp & decided to go because the reviews were good. When I came to get a pedicure the lady that was doing it did a horrible job. I had to have them switch me to somebody else. They stated that she wasn't feeling good & that's why she did a bad job. I continued to let them finish my nails & feet. I am now here currently trying to get a refill on my nails. The guy working the front desk turned me away bc he said they did it by appointment only. Clearly it says walk ins on the door and on yelp. This is my first time coming here. We live in Kingwood but we're always in this shopping center to visit Beyond the Dungeon game shop. I always told my husband I was going to stop in and since they're playing a tournament today...today was that day. The nail spa is so clean, you don't feel even slightly nervous as you look around. You're courteously greeted upon entering (not like at some nail places where they're too busy to do anything other than look up and yell a "hello" to you). The man at the counter, Tim, was very patient and helpful; like I said, I live in Kingwood and I'm a loyal customer to one of the shops in town there, so I had no idea what they offered here. And I had a limited budget, I just started my summer job and got my first paycheck with a massive 2.5 hours of training. I had a little bit extra cash, so I told him up front what prices I was limited to. He helped me pick exactly what I was looking for - AND at a price better than my usual shop. I was sat with Mechelle. She's very friendly and when she saw I was warm (I've got multiple autoimmune diseases and am very heat sensitive), she quickly got me a water and paper towel. She did it so discreetly too, she did it in such a way I wasn't embarrassed in the slightest. She asked why I liked the type of nail treatment I got, I explained due to one of my autoimmune diseases, Psoriatic Arthritis, it affects my nails so they acrylic keeps them strong. With that in mind, she recommended another treatment, one I had never even heard of. So now I definitely have something new to try. She did SUCH a great job! I really lucked out end up at her station. I liked her so much, I asked her for her business card. She told me to ask Tim when I checked out. When checking out, he gave me an additional 10% off for a first time customer - on an already AMAZING price. I asked about Mechelle's business card and he was already preparing me one. It's actually a loyalty card and on your 10th visit, you get a gift certificate for $12 towards whatever treatment you're getting. That's really awesome because I've noticed fewer and fewer shops are doing loyalty cards. I noticed on the card they are closed Monday but they have really generous hours the rest of the week! And I noticed if you check in on Yelp! you can get 15% off your service. They take walk-ins as well as appointments. Just overall a really welcoming place with competitive pricing AND available discounts. I recommend you give Kelly's Nails and Spa a try. Tim also let me know there's a 7-day warranty on the work. If your nails get messed up at all, just come back in within seven days of your date of service and they will fix the damage at no charge to you. I really enjoyed my initial visit to this nail salon. I was looking for another reliable salon in the area as compared to my usual. They really treated me like a queen and went out of their way to make me feel special and get the job done efficiently. My pedicure felt amazing and looked even better. I also enjoyed the spa-like atmosphere and cleanliness. They are caring and professional here. The improvement they can make is their ability to do dip powder nails. I've only had dip one other time at a different establishment, but at this salon, they used a shellac top coat on top of the dip. When I asked why, they gave an explanation about how the dip manicure holds up better in the winter with a shellac top coat. I've never heard of this and it seems to me that the creators of dip powder would have considered season change when creating the product. Our "winter" in Houston means spring weather some days and frost the next, so with not having definitive seasons, I'm not sure how the weather should determine how well nails hold up. My manicure really looked flawless. But my whole purpose for getting dip was to avoid the UV lamp that day (not sure UV exposure is good on a repeated basis). Unfortunately within a couple of days it started to unravel, showing signs of streaking and separating. I went back to the business and they were very apologetic and helpful. They tried to resurface the mani using dip top coat but it wasn't drying well. So they just did shellac top coat again. So far, it's slowly showing the same results, but not as bad. I think there could be a user error or maybe equipment failure here, as dip powder should hold up for at least 3 weeks with it's own top coat. Perhaps they need to revisit how to perform dip since it's such a new technique. Or maybe they have some defective dip products and need to replace them. Otherwise, I would recommend the salon as other people seem to have had success with dip and I did as well with other services. Keep in mind, if you book your first appointment ahead of time, they will offer you 15% off, which is amazing. Kelly's Nails has great customer service. read more

The staff were very friendly and personable and the facility appeared very clean. I recommend the deluxe pedicure with the green tea scrub. It smells so good! Mom is has very low tolerance for pain and she normally complains about soreness of her nails and feet due to cutting the cuticles to short or scrubbing off to much skin. Found out about this place through Yelp. So far, My sis in law and I have been here twice. Awesome service. Interior is very nice and clean. Very Quiet, calm and Relaxing environment. They have a water feature and soothing music playing in the background. Employees are very nice and polite. Le and Linda are wonderful with the pedicures. My shellac polish pedi lasted over 6 weeks! Brought my daughter (20) in to treat her to a mani/pedi with acrylic nails. I wasn't getting anything done. The staff was welcoming and very nice. They didn't try to get me to get anything done like some places. And the manager brought me a water. The store seems clean. The ladies who worked on my daughter were gentle and concerned with doing a good job. When one of the acrylic nails got messed up, she took it off and started over rather than botch it more trying to repair it. They were equally kind and friendly to all customers as far as I could tell. There is a darling little child sized pedicure station with Hello Kitty on it. My daughter's nails came out very nice. The people at this place are really nice. Pricing and customer service are awesome. But my actual pedicure is not the best. Don't get me wrong, the only reason I gave 4 stars is that I think my technician tried really her best and so my skin was rubbed so hard when she was scrubbing it. When I got home, the skin on the side of my big toe was burned from I think friction and bled a bit. I was uncomfortable for 2 days. But I would say that I will be back again and see how it goes. I went here based on the yelp reviews. I was very hopeful based on this but left very disappointed. My dipped nails looked awful. The design was smeared and looked nothing like the hearts I asked for. The gel nails on 2 fingers cracked just 2 days later. I know they will fix them, but based on my overall experience, I didn't even go back to get them fixed. I'll try somewhere else next time. I'm still disappointed over the job done by them since I went based simply off of reviews from yelp. They were nice, just didn't do the greatest job with the dip nails. read more
