I must have had a one off experience because this was a horrible facial. The place is an actual closet. Like no exaggeration, the size of a closet. It felt wildly unclean and there were only small curtains on the doors so anyone passing by could see you changing. I'm a Chinatown regular and don't mind the more adventurous conditions, if the service is incredible. Unfortunately this was not the case. First of all the price of the facial was extremely overpriced at EIGHTY DOLLARS. The woman took me 5 minutes late so all in all it lasted for 40 minutes and consisted of a wash, mask, and about two seconds of cleaning my face. The weirdest part was for the entire 40 minutes the woman kept showing me pictures of her male clients on her phone. She even showed me her new haircut. It was just bizarre. For $20 more I suggest you go to a high end spa and get actually pampered, or for $30 less you can go right around the corner and have an incredible facial with no frills. Would not recommend. Disclaimer: if you are looking for ambience or luxury like facials, this is NOT the place! There're only two beds in the room since she's doing this on her own. But if you're like me, I had a lot of clogged pores due to stress and wearing mask, so overall my skin condition was not ok at all. Kelly looked at my skin and recommended me a microdermabrasion and an acne prone facial, and that's what I did. She's super thorough when doing extractions, she literally cleaned out every clogged pore that were ready to extract, so even though I was in pain during the extraction, but was what I needed the most. As long as the job is done, I don't really care about ambience or other such. Also, Kelly talks to you during the facial, she's a pretty casual person, so I would say if you are looking for a quite and relaxing spa, this is not it! But if you want to get rid of clogged pores like me, I highly suggest you try it out. Highlight: the face message and scalp message were great :) read more

Update: I break out a lot and I have quite large pores. I have been doing acne facials and microdermabrasion monthly since January. My skin has gotten so much better and smoother. I would classify my skin type as relatively normal but sensitive with a history of acne and allergies (salicylic acid and benzol peroxide). Kelly did such an amazing job for my facial. Being a dental student, I wear N-95's for about ~10 hours a day while seeing patients and it's taken a toll on my skin these past few months. Kelly is extremely responsive over the phone and text, so it is easy to set up appointments, and change appointments too. I have sensitive skin, but her products are gentle and leave my skin feeling moisturized. I really like the way she does extractions too, she will clean up any whiteheads or blackheads that are clogging up your pores. She will also give you a head massage and shoulder massage towards the end of the session. My face looks great after the facial- its not red or blotchy. I was looking to get my skin into shape for my wedding, and as such wasn't looking for a luxury pampering session but a session that would actually help my face. Kelly's hydrating facial was one of the most affordable I'd seen, so I decided to go try her out. At the time I went to visit her, she was situated in a small room with only 2 massage beds (she has since moved locations)- you really are not going for the ambiance, but when I walked in I knew I had hit the real deal! Kelly's own skin is beauty which attests to her skills. She took a look at my skin and recommended a microdermabrasion facial instead, which was double the price I had originally planned on paying but SO WORTH IT. It basically uses crystals to get rid of dead skin, and I had a LOT of dead skin and scarring from my teenage acne years. After two sessions, I can see that my scars have healed significantly and my skin much smoother! I also partook in the hydrating facial (thus why my cost was double - I ended up getting 2 facials done in one session), which was certainly hydrating. My favorite part was the extractions, which were slightly painful but you can tell they work. The other thing is Kelly talks to you quite a lot while you're doing your facial, although her Mandarin is better than her English (it was a good opportunity for me to practice my mandarin!) She remembers you and your story and makes great conversation, but don't assume you're going for a quiet, soundless facial. My skin was in much better shape for my wedding, and I'm glad I took the time and money! I may start doing facials more regularly too, because I really can tell the difference in my skin! read more

Kelly SAVED MY SKIN. I am an African American woman with ingrown hairs and marks left behind from constantly plucking those ingrown hairs. I have suffered from these in grown hairs and their marks for 3 plus years but Kelly (along with laser hair removal treatments at a different facility) has changed my face significantly. These marks are in my chin area and cheeks and make me super self-conscious. Kelly introduced me to a process called microdermabrasion and explained the process thoroughly. In short microdermabrasion removes the top layer of dead skin at a quicker pace then what would occur to your body naturally, leaving behind a soft, new skin. Of course it take more than one session to see significant change but once I realized the difference I was so happy that I choose Kelly's business. Anyone suffering from old acne scars I would recommend microdermabrasion as well as regular facial which Kelly specializes in as well! She is one of the SWEETEST women on earth. Kelly is so nice and welcoming and really makes you feel at ease. It was my first facial, so I was nervous. It is a one-woman operation, so me and my friend got our facials one at a time. We both got the basic $75 facial (we looked around, and you can't beat that price in downtown Boston) and my skin felt so good afterwards. I didn't really feel any long-term effects on my face, but it was a nice pampering. My only gripe is that it was really hard to find the place because it was in a big office building.
