I have carefully considered what I would say in this review. I have let time pass to let my disappointment and anger subside but if I could leave zero stars I would. As a note, I tried reaching out to the salon in multiple ways (phone, text, DM, email) and never received a reply. I acknowledge that I was ridiculous for going to a salon and trusting technicians that are not accredited nor state licensed so that is on me. However, the low low low quality of the services and total disregard and unwillingness to make the situation right is on them. I received a gel manicure and a regular polish pedicure the day before going on a cruise. At midnight, I was removing my pedicure polish because it had never set and repainted my toes myself. In DECADES of receiving nail services I have never experienced anything like this. When it came time to remove the gel, I went to a licensed and very experienced professional who struggled to get it off. She referred to Kelly Nails as "a chop shop" and said the polish used had to be of very low quality and very old age to have responded to removal techniques as it did. I'm happy that some people seem to have ok experiences at Kelly Nails but mine was a $180 disaster. The cost, the total disregard by the management, and the months of growing out severely damaged nails is an experience that I will never forget nor wish to repeat. Avoid Kelly Nails! read more

Beware Before Booking! Kelly Nails in Sun Prairie used to be my go-to spot -- but not anymore. This place is now under new management, and unfortunately, it shows. The talented ladies who used to do my nails are all gone. I booked an appointment unaware of the change, showed up on time, and ended up waiting nearly an hour before anyone even acknowledged me. Communication was a disaster. The new owner clearly struggles with English, and my request for the service I booked was completely ignored. To make matters worse, the person who did my nails also seemed to have serious trouble understanding English -- and based on the experience, I have serious doubts that she even holds a valid manicurist license. I'll be filing a formal complaint with the DSPS. Save your time, money, and frustration. This is no longer the same Kelly Nails -- and it's not a place I'll ever return to. read more

A friend and I visited Kelly Nails for basic manicures. The two women working were unbelievably friendly and kind. They had an excellent selection of polishes to choose from. The manicure itself was excellent, and very reasonably priced. I can't wait to visit again! read more

Sad... Le and her staff did my nails for many years. Change is hard, I enjoyed the small atmosphere, the techs knew your name, you weren't directed to a chair to have a tech that doesn't speak any English give you a manicure. That's all gone, the new owners may be trying, however the salon is now cold and lifeless. I had been a devoted client of Kelky Nails for over 8 years. When Le sold the shop, I was not surprised as she had been talking about for sometime. I planned on continuing to go there as I had rotated through Eva and Jenny when Le was unavailable. Unfortunately my experiences with Magda; the new owner has changed my mind. I called to rescheduled my mani/pedi with Eva and Magda answered the phone. She had difficulty understanding my request to reschedule but stated that she had done so to the date and time I asked for. When I arrived to the salon, Eva asked why I was there so early. Told her I was there for a mani/pedi with her. Eva informed me that she had other clients scheduled at this time but she would see if someone else could work on my pedicure. After waiting for 30 minutes, Magda approached me and asked what I was here for. Explained the situation to her and she just said okay and walked away. Never apologized or said she would look into it. Jenny graciously stayed late for my pedicure before Eva could get to my manicure. I ended up being there for over 2 1/2 hours for an appointment that had historically taken 1 1/2 hours. While I was there, several other clients had to sit and wait on their services as there were more clients scheduled than available techs. I saw Magda bring several family members in to help manage the pedicures. One male told the client he was working on that he "pops in" whenever Magd is overbooked. What bothered me the most was the lack of acknowledgement from the new owner regarding the overlooking that was happening. All of the techs that worked under Le have left due to the overlooking and lack of communication from the new owner. What I loved about Kelly Nails was the relationships and environment. I looked forward to my monthly visits and talking with the team. They felt like true friends who genuinely cared about their clients. That is now gone. I would encourage any of the lingering term clients who are experiencing this to write a review here as the new owner is hiding all of the unfavorable comments on Facebook. read more

I have been going to Kelly Nails in Sun Prairie for a couple of years. The staff is always friendly, accommodating and professional. I have had manicures and pedicures that were excellent and long lasting. And you don't need to book far in advance. I also think that they are more reasonably priced than many other local salons. read more

HIGHWAY ROBBERY. I will never set foot in the business again. I was charged $154 CASH (with a discount supposedly applied) for a regular (not dipped, gel or any other service) manicure and pedicure for myself and a child manincure and pedicure my 8-year-old daughter. I relocated from the east coast and I have never, ever paid this much for a manicure and pedicture for a child and adult in NYC, Philadelphia, Washington, DC or even Chicago. I used to visit the nail salon on my corner and have my nails done WEEKLY for a corporate job in the DC-area and the OWNER did my nails most of the time and i never, ever paid this much. This is simply an astronomical price for a child mani/pedi and adult. I was even ASKED for confirmation that my 8-year old only wanted shaping and polish (no massage etc. since she is a child). And, I offered Cash to supposedly SAVE. Do yourself a huge favor and go to Blush - they offer a customer discount (after 10 purchases you get $20 off) and you will leave with your hard-earned bank account intact. read more

I've been to Kelly Nails 3 times in the past two months. I've gotten 3 manicures with gel nail polish and 2 spa pedicures. The pedicures are excellent - massaging, lotions, and even hot stones! The gel manicures were also great. They have the largest selection of gel colors I've seen. They say a gel manicure will last 3 weeks, but mine only seem to last 2. I'm not complaining, though, since I'm lucky if a regular manicure looks good 2 DAYS later because of how rough on my nails I am. I'll take 2 weeks! Technicians are friendly, but they'll leave you alone if you would rather read or browse your phone than chat. My favorite nail salon in the area for sure. read more

This place is crap. I'd rate them a zero if at all possible. Went here last week with my cousin, paid $100 and my feet are as rough as when I went in. The girl who did my nails was less than friendly, though I think the male who did my cousins was pleasant. Not to mention... my fingers and toes looked like I'd painted them myself. I only went once, and I'm not planning on going back. I made an appointment for 1pm, and got there a few minutes early. The gentleman who was scheduled to do my pedicure was finishing up with his current client, so I waited. He called me over when he was ready, filled the tub to let my feet soak, and left me waiting in the chair for 20 minutes. He told me he needed to go in the back to eat lunch, or else he was going to pass out. First of all, does management not let their employees take breaks? I was appalled. I was also irritated because I made an appointment -- I was on a time crunch, and if you can't see someone at 1pm, then schedule me for later. Don't make me wait. My pedicure was so-so, I've had better. And with the overall experience, I will definitely look elsewhere to get my nails done. While I was sitting in the chair, I also took note of how the front greeted customers as they walked in. Management: please be more friendly and professional to your customers. read more

I came in by appointment, I was forced to wait 10 minutes before anybody gave me a spot. The guy that did my nails did not clean my cuticles, Lotion my hands, or paraffin. All he did was buff and paint my nails, poorly. He didn't paint all the way down to the cuticle and I was forced to have to go get another manicure within seven days. I did not go back, instead I went to blush nails down the street, and received a cuticle trim, lotion treatment, paraffin dip, hand massage, and a beautiful paint job. All for $10 cheaper than Kelly nails. I would Go there instead. read more

I give this place two stars because the staff is friendly. However, I've been disappointed two times in a row now with my nails. Not only was my pedicure smeared- but my shellac nails chipped after 4 days. There was a huge gap between where the shellac started and the top of my nail bed making it look like outgrowth on day 1. Also, this is not the place to go if you want a Pinterest photo idea replicated. I'm sorry but it's such a bummer this place couldn't be a little better. After paying nearly $70 - and getting home to find your feet peeling the next day- and nails chipping a few days later is very frustrating. I gave them more than one chance and won't be going back. Nope no, no! Tried this place for the first and last time this weekend. Had a pedicure. The lady used the file as a weapon! There was several times I told her it hurt but she laughed and thought I was tickled. When I got home I found several little cuts around my nail. Then she held my feet so tight I had red Mark's and a nail mark on one. Next the leg massage was a joke. I massage my legs harder putting lotion on. Then finally the polish. Went in for waxing after someone recommended their services. Eyebrows were done ok, took a little long and required a little more suffering than usual but nothing too bad. Leg waxing is definitely NOT something they're trained to do though. Attendant kept dropping wax everywhere on my leg and putting too much wax on too much skin so wax would dry before she had time to take off strips so she had to keep coming back to the same spot over and over. Recommend seeking waxing services elsewhere until staff is retrained (or trained at all). read more

Will NEVER go here again - have tried it 5 times since close to home and not expensive. NOT worth the rudeness and poor quality. Poor pedicures with still rough feet, cold water, polish chipped right away, lotion they used gave me a rash, not sure how sanitary the tools are. Rude woman owner. They charged as much for a little girl pedicure as an adult. Blaring TV. We had appointments and came early to choose polish - they acted annoyed we looked so long and then commented we made them late for their next customers, even though it was not time for our appt. Were crabby when we did not immediately understand directions. A friend of mine had an expired gift certifcate and they would not accept. read more

I don't even know where to begin. My appointment was at 5 and didn't get seen until 5:35 to get a technician to do my nails. A nail tech (her name's Lee) worked on two or three clients at the same time. Back and forth and back and forth. It took forever. I have never seen anything funny like it before. 3 days later, my nails have chipped and lifted off of my nails throug out the week. Wish I could give it zero stars for costumer service!!
