The treatments were $200 total (two classic manicures and two classic pedicures). Due to the service we received and the less-than-impressive results, I would not recommend this salon to someone looking to get their nails done in Sun Prairie. When I arrived, they seemed to have over-booked themselves, as they didn't seat us for over 30 minutes. During the pedicure, I asked for a French tip design, which ended up being a pink polish that dried bumpy with a shaky white line along the top. The water was initially lukewarm, and we were left sitting with it for another 30 minutes. As I mentioned, I initially booked 2 classic manicures (not gel). We were both convinced into switching to gel polish instead after we asked for designs, as the techs said that the designs would turn out better with gel. I asked for a small design (stars on two nails), and the designs ended up smudged and looked sloppy, which the tech refused to correct when I asked. After the tech was done with my friend's design and the polish was curing under the lamp, she experienced pain due to the heat and quickly withdrew her hands. The tech was rude when this happened and seemed frustrated and impolite despite her expressing pain. We both ended up with polish all over our hands, which the techs did not remove or acknowledge. Although the people behind the front desk, who I believe were the owners or managers, were very polite and thanked us for being patient, the techs seemed rushed, were rude, and were upset when asked to make corrections. The nails look OK from a distance, but as the person wearing them, the quality is underwhelming. If the mani/pedis had been higher quality, I would have been willing to look past the issues. However, with the subpar service, long wait, and disappointing quality of the treatment itself, it was simply not worth the $200 I spent.

I am gonna have to start looking for a new place as we pay too much for nails to not have them done nicely. My nails were not evenly lengthened. The last 2 times she had the same older gentleman and been charged way over the amount I been normally paying. First time he asked if she wanted a freestyle and gave her a couples line and charged her roughly $20 for it. It's not her style so I definitely believe her when she said she didn't ask for it nor know about the price. She had a normal fill with almond shape recently and also been charged around $10 more than normal. Her cousins request Belle, Lee, or the other taller guy there and always get the most intricate designs for roughly the same amount. I'll have her try one more time in the future but maybe request one of those 3 instead. Ask them the price before you do anything, it's pretty random

As a note, I tried reaching out to the salon in multiple ways (phone, text, DM, email) and never received a reply. I acknowledge that I was ridiculous for going to a salon and trusting technicians that are not accredited nor state licensed so that is on me. However, the low low low quality of the services and total disregard and unwillingness to make the situation right is on them. I received a gel manicure and a regular polish pedicure the day before going on a cruise. At midnight, I was removing my pedicure polish because it had never set and repainted my toes myself. In DECADES of receiving nail services I have never experienced anything like this. When it came time to remove the gel, I went to a licensed and very experienced professional who struggled to get it off. She referred to Kelly Nails as "a chop shop" and said the polish used had to be of very low quality and very old age to have responded to removal techniques as it did. I'm happy that some people seem to have ok experiences at Kelly Nails but mine was a $180 disaster. The cost, the total disregard by the management, and the months of growing out severely damaged nails is an experience that I will never forget nor wish to repeat. Avoid Kelly Nails!
