Their performance throughout the entire process was utterly pathetic. They seemingly cannot read basic financial documents--specifically Shareworks statements. They saw and requested the exact same documents on over 10 separate occasions. Then, finally, on the 11th time, they actually decided to look at them and ask questions about the accounts and statements. This absolute incompetence caused a massive, last-minute pivot and wasted 2 entire months of my time just to get to that point. Combined with horrible communication along the way, it was an incredibly stressful and unprofessional experience. Save yourself the headache and take your business to a broker that actually values your time, communicates transparently, and knows how to review basic paperwork. Avoid them at all costs.

I called today and spoke with a man named Mark about the issue and he was abrupt and short to every question I had. I brought up a concern and the phone went silent for maybe 5 seconds. I assumed he was deep in thought? Then he said, "are you there?" and I said, "yes did you hear me?" and he replied, "I answered your question." I had to ask it again before he gave me a clear answer. I thanked him for his time and hung up. During the call I had the phone on speaker and my roommate overheard it and he unprompted said, "That man did NOT want to help you at all. I didn't even hear him answer you." Such a weird experience. I've been banking with MidFirst for 8 years and neverrrrrr in any time I've called have I had such a bad experience. Desert Financial CONFIRMED the fraud--yet they REFUSED to reimburse us because of an absurd policy that requires business account holders to report fraud within 24 hours. This policy is ridiculous and unfair because most business owners do not check their statements daily. Fraud is often discovered weeks later, yet Desert Financial blames the victims instead of protecting them. We have filed complaints with the CFPB, NCUA, and Arizona Attorney General's Office, and we are prepared to take legal action if necessary. If you are a business owner, DO NOT BANK WITH DESERT FINANCIAL. Their fraud protection policies are weak, and they will NOT stand by you when fraud occurs.
