They gave me a thumbs up, and did say there may be some problems with the turbo. It was a great price so I hit the GO button ($35K). It is now 2021, have put 45K on the truck, and other than maintenance, it has performed perfectly. BTW, the turbo code was only an air filter needing a replacement. The truck uses no oil, and runs great. Anytime you need a mechanic, just give me one who is honest and competent. Much better than most "Dealers". Hurricane looked at my truck with only a 1 hour notice, and obviously a competent evaluation. BTW, YELP sucks.

I mean, she had less than 84k miles and I always intended to drive her til the wheels fall off. Geico had me take her to Caliber Collision, where they said it was $4.5k+ worth of damage. I opted to wait and find a small(er) biz neighborhood shop, which is how I ended up at A-Pro Auto Body. From the jump, Tom was friendly, easy to work with, and quoted me a much lower number (even after adding another unrelated repair), so I was happy to entrust them with fixing my girl. He didn't even give me a hard time when I had to pay them the 50% down in 20s (there is a fee for using a card for payment and I am trying to keep as much of that insurance payout as I can, y'know). He told me it would take about two weeks, and I was mentally prepared to wait longer, but they ended up needing less time, and I was pleasantly surprised to get the call well before I had expected it. When I picked her up, I was thrilled to see her back in fighting shape, and way cleaner than when she was dropped off. The vibe of the place definitely reminded me of auto wrecking/transmission shops that my mom and I have worked at in our younger years. Is it super fancy and shiny? Nope. Can you tell that they are/like a family and care for their customers? Absolutely. Tom playfully told me that they don't want to see me back there, and I do hope that I don't need to visit again anytime soon, but I will definitely recommend them to anyone who mentions car repair in my presence.
