Dog jerky, Happy Travelers treats and gluten and grain free jerky
    Sisomvang H.

My dog park friends and I had a late white elephant gift exchange and I was able to snag a $50 Kelley's Pet Supplies gift card. I attempted to go to the new one near my house, but they didn't open yet so after a week, I was finally able to make it to this one. Ambiance- It is a smaller store so I could have been in and out, but they had such a great selection of items from treats, eyewash and dog aspirin. Their toy selection is not as nice as Pet Supplies Plus, but it's not bad. Service- Amazing. I actually was looking for something for my Chihuahua because he recently started getting anxiety on car rides. The girl at the register was so helpful. She showed me two items that were over $22 and the happy travelers treats which were only $14. I got another bag of treats for my boys. In addition I've been wanting a squishmallow bed for my boys and decided to get one here since they had them. My husband always says my Chihuahua has the black soulless eyes of a shark so I got the shark bed for him. However, my terrier claimed it on the ride home so it's his now. We are pretty set on treats and toys. I will have to check out the new one near my house and hopefully it's as awesome as this one in Clovis.

    Family owned!

I like to support local businesses and this store is family owned and operated. It's right next door to the branch I'm currently assigned to at work, so it's very convenient. They're on the SW corner of Shaw and Minnewawa, if you're not familiar with then. The last time I was in they had a good selection of the puppy training treats my doggie thinks are her special biscuits. I stopped in the other day to see if they still carried them. Score! They still carry Blue Buffalo! The employees asked me if I needed help as soon as I walked in the door. The treats were right there on an end cap, though, so I made my selection and walked right up to the counter to check out. The girl who waited on me was very friendly. Check them out when you need food, etc. for your furry friends...it looked like they have a pretty good selection.

    Moose says thanks!

Woman employees here were rude; they didn't ask if I needed help and just stared you down in the store making you feel uncomfortable.

Fast forward a week and she's crying and struggling to go to the bathroom. We thought constipation. After a whole night of pain we called VAC and they said they had no appointments for follow up, it wasn't the antibiotics and to go to urgent care. We ended up at a different vet who first thing palpated her bladder and felt a mass. Then took a simple xray which showed 3 large bladder stones, one of which was blocking her from going pee. I'm no Dr, but wouldn't the original ultrasound from VAC show this? Wasn't that the point of the ultrasound? Even the 2nd vet was baffled that they didn't detect 3 cheese ball sized bladder stones via ultrasound, which I hear provides more detailed information than an X-ray. Anyway, I find that surprisingly incompetent. And even if they couldn't provide the necessary treatment (surgery), I would assume they would have spotted something so obvious and offered a treatment plan. Maybe they didn't even do the ultrasound? But they certainly billed for it. Anyway, boo on you VAC. Don't go here, they messed up big time.

They used to be located by the rail road tracks in what looked like a big red barn. The new location seems more spacious and a lot better IMO since it's not as cold and more parking. The service is always great cus the employees are always knowledgeable. They even have a rewards program with some dog food. I think it's buy 10 bags or buy 15 bags get the next free? Something like that. It has to be the same bag same weight tho. Still good if ur grabbing the same shit. The last time we went we changed our dogs dog food cus he was having bad allergies. There was a lady there that worked with the brand Red Barn (how funny I brought up red barn earlier lol) and she helped us out a lot. We ended up choosing that brand n got grain free and she gave us a $10 off coupon I forgot how much it was but that was deals... she also gave us a free canned food version and a coupon for the dry food topper for free. So we got all that for the discounted dog food price cus of the coupons. Fuckkn awesome man!!!

It's Easter Sunday. I am on a road trip with my elementary school age daughter and we stop in…read moreFresno for lunch. We also happened to stop at a random nearby park to eat lunch and let my kid play before we finish the last 3-4 hours of our trip. There was a skinny pit bull wandering around with a leash wrapped around its neck. A few people told me that someone had driven up to the park, opened the door, shoved it out and peeled off. This happened not 5 minutes before we got there. What is wrong with people!? No one and I mean NO ONE at the park wanted to take responsibility for it, and I simply could not leave it there. I took the dog to an Emergency Vet's office but of course it didn't have a microchip and they claimed they couldn't take it in, not even overnight until it could go to animal control the next day. So I'm STUCK! It's Easter Sunday so EVERYTHING is closed. It's already rough to try and get help on a Sunday, doubly so for Easter Sunday. I sat in the car with the dog and my young daughter and made at least 30 calls to every single vet's office, rescue, and animal organization I could find to try and find someone who could at least take the dog overnight until animal control opened the next day. I absolutely could not take the dog home with me on my road trip as we have a dog who doesn't get along with other dogs. Also, what if it turned out it wasn't the owners who pushed it out of the car, but someone else? Maybe the true owner was still looking? It wouldn't be fair to take it hundreds of miles away. 99% of the phone calls were not answered and the very few that did could not take a dog for one reason or another and referred me to animal control. I was getting desperate, I'd already spent two hours trying to find some place for this dog to go. I was beginning to think the unthinkable: that I'd have to just tie it up somewhere in the shade and call the police non emergency number to let them know about this dog. I had to get back on the road as I had a time commitment. I was so lucky that someone with Animal Compassion actually happened to answer the phone on Easter Sunday and doubly lucky that someone was there who could decide to take the dog for me. We were there in 15 minutes and they were able to take the dog and I'm so very grateful to them for helping out this sweet, abandoned soul. I hope she finds a good home. Thank you, Animal Compassion for really caring about animals!!
