Like pharmacies should be, personable and friendly and you shouldn't have to fight the crowd to get your medicine

It has been over 3 years now I have been using Alexa Pharmacy; and still awesome pharmacy services!…read moreThey are very helpful, easy to get to, kindly and knowledgeable. Love it. Wanted to do an updated review to say WELL DONE! Thank you for your helpful services.

UPDATED: The pharmacist tried to call me last night around…read more9:15 PM, to let me know that they ended up filling the Rx for us. They also texted me to let me know that they had filled the Rx after all. My phone's "Do not Disturb" settings were on, so I didn't see it until this morning. They called me at 9:30 AM to let me know they had filled the Rx and offered to open the store for me to pick it up, since they are closed on Sundays. We met at 10:30 AM and they gave me the medicine. They were apologetic and took care of us due to having to drive in the snow. I have raised my star review to 3 stars 3 because they did fill the Rx and for their consideration of driving in this weather. However, I won't give 4 or 5 stars because this didn't have to happen this way. ORIGINAL: We received our Rx late from the doctor, this was the latest compound pharmacy open that we could find at the time.. We arrived and were told the Rx would take 30 minutes to fill. I was told I would get a call when it was ready. After 45 minutes and closing time coming, I went back in. They had not started making the Rx and they told me they were calling the doctor to change the prescription to a strength that 1)we know doesn't work and 2)I can buy off the shelf. Thry refused to make it, because they didn't want to crush up tablets, despite our precious medicine being made in the same manner. I explained this, as well as told them that we need this strength, because we know it works from using this medicine in the past. They talked to their manager who would not let them crush up the tablets to make the medicine. Now, we will be without the needed medicine, possibly the whole week due to the incoming storms. This place clearly doesn't care about the patient. I will never go to this place again and will be sure to tell everyone to not waste their time here, because you may get refused and they won't bother to call you and tell you, so that you might have a chance to find another compound pharmacy open.

I have worked in a pharmacy and I continue to work in customer service and never in my wildest…read moredreams would I think about talking to a customer the way I was just spoken to. Basically was called a liar when I asked why my Montelukast prescription did not get transferred and could not be found. I have a text where it tells me that medication and 3 others were ready for pickup. When I checked on the app, it showed cash or discounted prices, I thought, oh I got new insurance and the must not have it. I uploaded my new insurance card and sent a message and they responded it had been received. A few minutes after is when I received the text the medications were ready, and I called because it still showed the discounted costs. They told me they do not accept my insurance so they were giving me the discount. She told me I could call my insurance and find out what pharmacy accepts it. I did that and the new pharmacy told me they would call and get my prescriptions transferred. The new pharmacy called and said CVS only transferred 3 prescriptions and she called to ask about the fourth one. I gave her the name again (Montelukast) and she called CVS to transfer it, they told her they did not have that prescription. I told her I would call CVS and find out what happened to it. The lady that answered could not help me so she transferred me to the pharmacist. He was so rude in raising his voice and basically saying I was lying because he showed no record of it being in my profile. I told him I had received a text it was ready, the discounted price I had to pay if I wanted it from there, and he said I don't know what to tell you, we don't have it! I asked him what happened to it from this morning to now? He could not tell me. I know pharmacists change shifts, things can get lost and/or misplaced. They are human. But do NOT try and say I don't know what I am talking about when I know what I received and what I saw in the app. Here is the proof I have of my texts and the time they were sent this morning. MON stands for Montelukast...and I just wanted to know what happened to the prescription, because CVS had received it before I even left the doctor's office this morning. And now that one prescription has mysteriously vanished from CVS and any proof they "received" it. Well, this is my proof they did!
