I have worked in a pharmacy and I continue to work in customer service and never in my wildest dreams would I think about talking to a customer the way I was just spoken to. Basically was called a liar when I asked why my Montelukast prescription did not get transferred and could not be found. I have a text where it tells me that medication and 3 others were ready for pickup. When I checked on the app, it showed cash or discounted prices, I thought, oh I got new insurance and the must not have it. I uploaded my new insurance card and sent a message and they responded it had been received. A few minutes after is when I received the text the medications were ready, and I called because it still showed the discounted costs. They told me they do not accept my insurance so they were giving me the discount. She told me I could call my insurance and find out what pharmacy accepts it. I did that and the new pharmacy told me they would call and get my prescriptions transferred. The new pharmacy called and said CVS only transferred 3 prescriptions and she called to ask about the fourth one. I gave her the name again (Montelukast) and she called CVS to transfer it, they told her they did not have that prescription. I told her I would call CVS and find out what happened to it. The lady that answered could not help me so she transferred me to the pharmacist. He was so rude in raising his voice and basically saying I was lying because he showed no record of it being in my profile. I told him I had received a text it was ready, the discounted price I had to pay if I wanted it from there, and he said I don't know what to tell you, we don't have it! I asked him what happened to it from this morning to now? He could not tell me. I know pharmacists change shifts, things can get lost and/or misplaced. They are human. But do NOT try and say I don't know what I am talking about when I know what I received and what I saw in the app. Here is the proof I have of my texts and the time they were sent this morning. MON stands for Montelukast...and I just wanted to know what happened to the prescription, because CVS had received it before I even left the doctor's office this morning. This is the slowest pharmacy drive through I have ever been to. I'm going to change all of my prescriptions to be filled somewhere else. I am not exaggerating. It is taking 20 minutes PER CAR. No system to push people through it there is an issue. No way to drive around or get out of line without jumping a curb. I'd rather there be a sign saying, "drive through closed, come in" than to get in a line that moves at this pace. It's absolutely ridiculous. read more

Y'all cray, I love this pharmacy. Seriously compared to most CVS's this one is great.

This place is a really busy location. So sometimes the line gets backed up. They have a lot of staff in the pharmacy at all times that I've seen. Usually about 6 people working. And they don't look like they're slacking that's for sure! Makes me worn out just watching them work so hard. Whenever I do have an issue or need help with finding a better price on my script, they're kind, patient, and helpful. Yes, sometimes the lines are long. I've waited 15 minutes for my turn before inside, longer in the drive-thru, but I still think it is well-staffed and the staff themselves have always shown to be wonderful people. Horrible service at the Pharmacy. When did waiting 6 hours for a prescription to be filled become the norm? These pharmacist are in no hurry to change anything. This location is horrible and I've complained directly to CVS over their declining service and nothing has changed. This store will lie to you to get you off the phone. I called them the day before to make sure they had my prescription, then after my doctor sent the prescription in, I called them to make sure they could fill it today. They assured me they were able to fill it in an hour. 2 hours later I find out that they have been out of stock for 2 weeks and won't get my prescription in for another 2 weeks. This is not first time they have done this. They have done it 3 times this year already. If you care about your health, DO NOT GOT HERE BECAUSE THEY DONT CARE ABOUT YOUR HEALTH. read more

Went to the Minute Clinic inside CVS due to illness. The provider came back from his 1 hour lunch break 10 minutes late. Went into clinic and shut door after 10 more minutes he came out and went into back room. Upon his return I asked when I was going to be seen. He said my appointment was for 4pm and it was 1:45. I said but walk ins are welcome. He said only when available. I told him that there were no other people at the clinic and mentioned that he was just doing nothing after taking a longer than 1 hour break. Rude at the Minute Clinic. Checked in and it took 5 minutes at the kiosk. Then lady who saw me come in at 6:55 pm on 4-6-23, told me they were closed and didn't see patients after 6:55. Doctor had door open and heard the whole thing. We were from out of town 5 hours away. No empathy nor consideration. Told me to go to "CareNow" and sure glad we did! They actually CARE. read more

The absolute worst customer service experience while dealing with a pharmacy. I placed a prescription order for delivery, the CVS app and email confirmation stated 1 day for delivery, CVS scheduled delivery for different day. My prescription was returned to the store. I called the store to find out when it will now be delivered, and told nothing they could do to assist me, I needed to call 800-shopCVS, 800-746-7286 - to which the CVS rep said it needs to be handled by the store that sent me to them. The 800 CVS rep then called the store with me online and Jeffrey in the pharmacy hung up on us. I called back for the pharmacy manager and still placed on hold to be hung up on again. Called back again and was told the pharmacy manager had an emergency and someone from the 800 CVS number will call me back. Still I have no returned call and no prescription. read more

We've been filling prescriptions here since we first moved out to Roanoke. Honestly, I've had a mix of experiences. The drive thru pharmacy is almost never a quick experience. I've even had issues where I've been called that a prescription is ready, but then arrive only to find out it's only partially ready or that they only filled one of them. Going physically inside the pharmacy tends to be a lot more efficient. The one thing I will say they do well is advocating for you to receive the best price on medication. I had filled a prescription here where the higher dose was not fully covered, so they had my doctor change the script to the same dose, but taking two pills instead of one, which ended up being a lot less expensive. I really appreciate that as I often have no idea what I can do to help lower my costs. Really, my main issue is the frequent times I've had medication not completely ready after being told it is ready, and the slow drive thru. Overall, I still fill my prescriptions here because of my pleasant experiences with staff. read more

Just needed to check when my 2nd dose appt was so I decided to call and ask. I googled the number for the Roanoke, TX location and was surprised to see the low star reviews. Then I experienced why that was. I called the pharmacy and after a long automated option list I finally just kept saying operator to get a person. Was on hold for over 10min so I just WALKED from my house to CVS. The pharmacist asked one of the techs to help me but I heard "1 pharmacy call" on the overhead speakers. I said "oh you can take that call you have on hold first" to which the tech said "oh no, it's ok what can I help you with?" This is DISGUSTING. So I lowered my phone from my ear and told them I was the one on hold and have been so for over 10min... she apologized and asked what I needed (to recheck my appt date), so without taking my name or anything she walks and stands by other pharmacy employees and just waits till they're not busy which obviously isn't happening anytime soon. I finally walked out of the store with NO ANSWERS. What more can I do? I called, I walked there, I asked people and the answer was the same each time....non-responsive.... If you need a candy bar or diapers, go there as they have no cashiers and you check out as fast as YOU can scan. Expect no help other than to ask where the vitamins are (if you're unable to read the signs!) read more

Minute Clinic is unclear and deceptive in their practices. It cost $100 for a simple blood pressure test, one which is customary and without cost when seeing a doctor. In CVS case, it's a billable event, in the small print. First and last time visiting this service. read more

I had a completely different experience with this pharmacy than most reviews. They were very kind and extremely friendly. The prescription was filled within the stated time and they texted me when it was ready. I had a coupon from the drug manufacturer that they were able to process also without any problems. CVS review Awful experience. So first I called to see if my prescription was ready and I'm on hold for about 15-20 minutes until someone finally picks up. I was on the phone for maybe a minute just to know if my prescription was ready...which it was. So I drive there later and pick it up in the drive through. Little backstory... the prescription I was picking up had to be a certain brand, other brands or generic makes me very ill... so I get my prescription and I'm sitting in the drive through and I open my bag to make sure it's the right brand and it's not... the pharmacist comes back And ask if she can help me. I explain to her that I was given the wrong prescription and I need the certain brand. She then argues with me saying it's the right one. I inform her that I'm going to come inside and talk to her there. I go inside and another pharmacist helps me. She doesn't know what to do and so she gets a different pharmacist. I explain once again what has happened and why I need the specific brand. She also argues with me saying that they were told this specific brand. I tell her that's not possible cause my doctor knows that I use a certain one and I have never had this wrong one before. She then tells me that is in written on the order and she goes and gets it. She comes back and says "well it's actually not written here but I know she said this (wrong) brand" I explain to her that's it's the wrong one and asked if they had the right one. She goes and looks for my right brand and they only have one in stock which is expired. She then says she can special order it but it's either come tomorrow or not until next week. I tell her that I need it by at least Sunday ( this took place on a Thursday) and she said it was either the Friday or not till much later. I went ahead and placed an order for it. She then takes the wrong prescription and proceeded to get upset that I opened the bag. I did not open the medicine or even disturbed it. I explained to her that I had to check to make sure it was the right prescription cause once again it had to be a certain one. She told me that I shouldn't have come inside and that I should've not driven off. I told her that I told the pharmacist that I was coming in to fix the issue. She was also upset at the fact that I had to return the medicine and get a refund. She said that they normally wouldn't do that and I should be grateful. I got the order ordered. I ended up going to a different cvs to order my prescription and they will have it tomorrow. Now I have to drive 30 minutes just to get my prescription which should've been filled correctly at the original cvs. Thankfully I only have to refill it every three months. I'm currently debating wether I should go through this whole procedure again in three months or do the 30 minute drive to spare me the headache. What I learned from all this: don't bother calling it would be quicker to go there in person, go inside so you don't get in "trouble" with the pharmacist, and make sure the pharmacist don't argue with me about what medicine that I TAKE. read more

Ever since this store on 377 in Roanoke went through the reset upgrade the store is pretty but the staff in the Pharmacy has not put the time in to learn their customer base, are typically so rushed they are borderline rude. On Friday night the 7/29 I got in drive thru at 740 pm 2 cars in front. When it was only one in front they kept that truck at the window until 816pm. Then it was my turn I did not even get a hello I got we are closed, the registers are closed down bye. I said I've been waiting over 30 min and she said well the registers are shut down. My mother then said well we will be talking to a mgr tomorrow and this lady says I'm the mgr to which I said your service is terrible. And we drove off. They will even call and say they're ready and when you show up they say they aren't ready . I've been trying for 4 days now to pick up my heart medication that they "lost" the script for . My mother suffers from severe respiratory infections. Her doctor usually calls her in an antibiotic and a heavy duty cough medicine that is labeled as a controlled substance. No matter how many times the doctor calls, my mother calls and I go in there to discuss this with them they never have the prescription for the cough medicine, only the antibiotic. My mothers doctor knows her as the patient with the "very difficult" pharmacy who can never get it right. The doctor even stated she doesn't know how the pharmacy operates without a token system to operate and fill controlled substance prescriptions. It's honestly ridiculous how many times this has happened. She has had enough and is changing pharmacies. read more

This location is horrible at answering the phone or being staffed! I called twice to asks the pharmacist a question about my medication and held for over 40 minutes. Called again and I have now been on hold for 45 minutes and still waiting. Also the last two times I was there I waited to speak with a pharmacist and the cashier kept telling me he would be right with me but he just kept talking with the staff and completely ignored me. Absolutely the WORST pharmacy on the planet. I am epileptic and the pharmacist REFUSED to refill my epilepsy medication because it was a few days too soon according to his computer. Not my doctor or my medication bottle, just his computer. Now I have to wait and will most likely have a seizure due to his incompetence. If I do have one, I will be going after them. Stay away!!!!! I am now terrified to leave home and full of anxiety. And have to wait until Tuesday for my seizure medication. read more

My physicians office faxed over new prescription called to verify more than an hour later that they would be ready on hold 45 minutes. When they answered I was told we don't have anything ready then she checked to see about the submission through fax and said oh give me another 45 minutes. Call was made on Jan 20th evening when someone finally answered it was at 5:35pm. CVS Roanoke TX needs more techs to answer the phone and fill prescriptions. read more

My daughter has bronchitis and they took ONE HOUR to give me everything I needed and last minute saying they needed my ID. I AM A 70 year old women, it was ridiculous. This place is the WORST. Extremely rude man (Mina) at the drive through window, who is particularly condescending towards women. On more than one occasion a prescription has been sent here and they "just don't have it", shrug you off and tell you to go away and figure it out yourself. Then turns out they don't even have the medication in stock. Shame on me for continuing to give this place a second chance when they continue to have horrible customer service and prove themselves incompetent at filling prescriptions.
