BUYER BEWARE. I'm writing this specifically about RightWay on Alpine in Comstock Park. They have no…read moresticker prices on any of the vehicles. They bring cars to you to test drive, cars you may or may not be interested in. My salesperson said he didn't know the prices and had to check with his manager (behind closed doors). As a matter of fact, pretty much every question we asked had to go through the manager. I asked about a specific car I was interested in, that was in the available cars section of the lot. After returning from his longer than necessary conversation with his manager, he said the car needed repairs and was not available. I was there on a Saturday, when I returned on Monday the car had been moved front and center... available. I ended up going with one of the cars they showed me. I had an uneasy feeling and mentioned I thought the car felt a little hesitant upon acceleration. They did not supply a Carfax report showing a maintenance history, only an ownership history. My salesperson took it for a ride and said he didn't feel anything. Assured me, due to the inspection and repairs done, there were no issues. Also noting the 6 month Powertrain Warranty. Well here we are... 4 months and 2000 miles since purchase and I need a new engine. In fact the car needs over $7000 in repair costs. The only luck I feel is that I am still within the 6 month warranty. And I will now feel more secure with a new engine and other parts that must be replaced. If this happened 2 months later I would have been completely screwed. The worst part... they knew my circumstances and took advantage of the fact I was desperate to get into a vehicle that day. I am on workman's comp due to a work-related injury. I'm only take in half of my regular income since January, and it's financially crushed me. They knew this. If you purchase a vehicle from them, take it immediately to your own mechanic for an inspection. My fault for not doing this and not following my gut. I hope this helps.

This is going to be long, but I have several issues to explain that may be helpful for new…read morecustomers to the Comstock Park location on Alpine. My son and I purchased a vehicle in July of this year. We had browsed the lot prior to speaking with the salesperson, and saw some vehicles we were interested in. There was one I really had my eye on. They do not have sticker prices on any vehicle in the lot. When I asked the salesperson about prices he said he didn't know them and would have to ask his manager. Rather than letting us choose the vehicles we were interested in, they just randomly pulled up vehicles for us to test drive. I asked about the vehicle I had my eye on, which was located in the area where the available vehicles were parked... they have a separate area for vehicles that need to be serviced. Once again the salesperson had to speak with his manager about the sales price. As a matter of fact he had to speak to his manager (office door shut) to get most answers or approvals. I found this strange and kind of shady, but I needed a vehicle right away so we continued working with him. He did not come back with a price. Instead we were told the vehicle was not available because it needed repairs. ... again odd. We ended up going with another vehicle, which was one of the vehicles they had randomly pulled up for us to test drive. I questioned him about the license plate because I wasn't given a dealership plate. He said I could just use my previous plate (from my old vehicle), until the new plate came in. I thought that didn't make sense, but he was a car salesman and should know. When I got on the highway, I felt it was hesitant upon acceleration. I had to return to the dealership 2 days later, and decided to continue to drive the car to see if maybe it was in my head and I was just worried they might have sold us a lemon. I felt there still may be an issue, so when I returned two days later, I mentioned it to the salesperson and he said he would take it for a test drive. While he was gone, I noticed not only was the "unavailable" car I had my eye on still the available cars area, it was parked front row for all driving on Alpine to see. It was hard to believe that vehicle was serviced the day after my purchase, which was a Sunday, and back on the lot Monday. This really bothered me. I should have questioned it., but I did not. I'm not confrontational. I'm too nice and trusting...to a fault. When he returned, he told me he had taken the car on the highway and assured me there was nothing wrong. So I thought maybe it was just a difference in vehicles compared to my last. The following week, as I was headed to pick up my plates, the vehicle died about I minute after starting. once at the dealership, I mentioned to the salesperson helping me what had happened. He seemed as though I should not be too concerned by the issue. So I thought maybe it was just a one- off...I'm no expert. While putting on my plate, he asked why I had an old plate on the vehicle. I explained that my salesperson had told me to use it until the new plates came in. He was a bit bewildered. I had been driving illegally for week. For the last couple months, the issue has gotten worse, and I began smelling exhaust inside the vehicle after about 15 minutes into driving. I located the inspection and repair information. It showed a fail for the exhaust and generally stated "exhaust repair"... no specifics. It also showed the shop had its own 12 month warranty on labor and parts. Because I have a $100 deductible on the purchase warranty, using the shop's warranty would save me some money. I called the dealership to see if I could. I also asked if I could get details on the exact exhaust repairs that were done. The person who answered told me he didn't know what I was talking about or what I was looking at that says the auto shop has a 12 month warranty. I told him I was looking at the inspection and service receipt they had provided me at the dealership. I explained the warranty was listed directly under the list of charges. With a chuckle, he said well we no longer have ownership of the vehicle and they have nothing to do with it. He added the warranty we were given will no longer cover any repairs not done at one of their shops. As with everything else up to this point, it did not make sense. Maybe that's normal, I don't know. This is why I wait to post a review. If I would have posted my review immediately, I would have given them four stars. My sales person was friendly and may have been new to the business. At this point, 2 stars may be generous. I should have listened to my gut several times throughout this process. That's on me. I do feel I was lead to and sold this vehicle purposely. I recommend Considering my experience if you choose to go there. I hope it helps.

I agreed to the diagnostic fee. When I got the estimate it was $7000 worth of work including $4,385 for an A/C compressor and $540 for a water pump. Rose their customer service representative called and advised my significant other of the amount. We advised them that we would get the water pump repaired to cover the cost of the diagnostic fee and take the truck somewhere else to get the A/C compressor repaired. Rose advised us that if we didn't get the A/C compressor repaired then we would have to pay for the water pump repair which was $540 plus the $350 diagnostic repair. Rose literally told me that I didn't get to pick and choose what gets repaired on a vehicle that I own. So, we went back and forth and she finally said that they will not repair my truck at all at that point she advised that the diagnostic fee is now $150. I had my truck towed to another facility. Fox GMC had taken the serpentine belt off of my truck, they took parts off my truck, they took bolts off my truck and didn't put any of these parts back. David Doyle was of absolutely no help. He did nothing in regards to the customer service that his employees provided. Nor does he care that his service department did a diagnostic on my truck and did not return my truck back to me the way that it was given to them. Understand that my 2018 GMC Terrain had NEVER had any engine work. The most I had ever done to this truck was change the brakes and rotors. This dealership is absolutely unethical. They are deceptive in their pricing tactics. They don't take pride in their work and return your vehicle to you worse than how they gave to you. Finally, they don't value long standing customers who have only purchased from GMC and their family of dealerships. I have reported them to the State of Michigan and to GMC corporate.

Was told to just drive in and use an open service door. Was met by a very helpful employee named Austin. He understood my concern, walked me to the wait area, showed me the free coffee, water, snack/popcorn choices. Then told me that it might be 1/2 hour before they can start working on my car. Dealership area nice, clean and quiet. Within 1 hour the tire was fixed from a nail and no charge for my in-warranty car. Great communication and experience. Will recommend this GM dealership to anyone.
