took my 2018 GMC Terrain to them for service. I was initially told that it would be $350 for the diagnostic fee but the fee would be included in the price of the repair if I chose to have the truck repaired. I agreed to the diagnostic fee. When I got the estimate it was $7000 worth of work including $4,385 for an A/C compressor and $540 for a water pump. Rose their customer service representative called and advised my significant other of the amount. We advised them that we would get the water pump repaired to cover the cost of the diagnostic fee and take the truck somewhere else to get the A/C compressor repaired. Rose advised us that if we didn't get the A/C compressor repaired then we would have to pay for the water pump repair which was $540 plus the $350 diagnostic repair. Rose literally told me that I didn't get to pick and choose what gets repaired on a vehicle that I own. So, we went back and forth and she finally said that they will not repair my truck at all at that point she advised that the diagnostic fee is now $150. I had my truck towed to another facility. Fox GMC had taken the serpentine belt off of my truck, they took parts off my truck, they took bolts off my truck and didn't put any of these parts back. David Doyle was of absolutely no help. He did nothing in regards to the customer service that his employees provided. Nor does he care that his service department did a diagnostic on my truck and did not return my truck back to me the way that it was given to them. Understand that my 2018 GMC Terrain had NEVER had any engine work. The most I had ever done to this truck was change the brakes and rotors. This dealership is absolutely unethical. They are deceptive in their pricing tactics. They don't take pride in their work and return your vehicle to you worse than how they gave to you. Finally, they don't value long standing customers who have only purchased from GMC and their family of dealerships. I have reported them to the State of Michigan and to GMC corporate. read more

First time at this GM dealership. Arrived with a low tire condition on my recent purchase of a Chevrolet CPO car. Called first on a Friday morning to inquire about having a reservation. Was told to just drive in and use an open service door. Was met by a very helpful employee named Austin. He understood my concern, walked me to the wait area, showed me the free coffee, water, snack/popcorn choices. Then told me that it might be 1/2 hour before they can start working on my car. Dealership area nice, clean and quiet. Within 1 hour the tire was fixed from a nail and no charge for my in-warranty car. Great communication and experience. Will recommend this GM dealership to anyone. read more

We brought our 2017 GMC Acadia in for service on our transmission that was covered by warranty and we felt with a guy named Jordan, whom seem nice at first but let me tell you, he's probably the biggest scam of them all. We had gotten our warranty through another dealership in which we should've gone back to them in the first place, but our transmission was literally going out right in front of this dealership so we went there because we've gotten a car from them before in the past and it was perfect. Anyways they reassured us that it wasn't a big deal if we release our vehicle to them and they'll handle the warranty portion with whom we had our warranty through. The first day he called 3 times that day asking if we wanted an oil change then he called back asking if we wanted our tires rotated that'll be another $25 then he called back saying do you want your filters changes that'll be $80 or whatever and we said no to all he was trying to offer. Then After two days of waiting we contacted Jordan and he said "well the guy from the warranty company is going to come and look at the vehicle to see if it's covered" we said ok and he had mention he'll keep us updated and another two days go by and we had to contact him again and he says "oh yes, they came and looked at it, but they're only gonna cover a certain amount of the transmission" he then said the transmission will be $7,000 in something and the warranty is only covering $5,000 in something so we'll have to cover the other $2,000, which sounded odd because that wasn't in our warranty agreement so we knew that wasn't true. We then asked him what was wrong with the vehicle because we was never told and he says " I told you" we was shocked because the last time we spoken to him he said they couldn't touch the car until the guy from the warranty place looked at it first so they have no idea what was wrong with it. So when we call him he list off all the things that's wrong. It was fishy from that point on. We didn't want nothing done but what we came in there for and we knew it should've been coverSo we reached out to the warranty company and they let us know that that was one option to buy a brand new transmission or the other option was for a used transmission for $5,000 and it'll be at no cost to us. But Jordan didn't mention nothing about that. So we told the warranty company that we'll go with the covered transmission they said ok, they'll order the parts and have them sent to Fox GMC and they'll reach out to Fox GMC to let them know. And of course Jordan from Fox GMC said they don't accept parts being sent from somewhere else. SMH!!!!!! So now it's 1 1/2 weeks and still nothing is done. The warranty company was soooo helpful they advised us to have the car towed to where we purchased the car. The warranty company said they have never had any issues like this before and they were stunned that this place would say such things. The warranty company paid the diagnostics fees and paid for it to be towed to the other dealership where we got the car/warranty. All in all it was a disaster dealing with JORDAN from Fox GMC mechanics he was horrible with communication, and he tried to make a good penny. We've learned a valuable lesson: just take the car back to where you bought it even if you have to push it there. And we learned to never deal with those money grabbing thieves again! read more

My husband scheduled an appointment online. When I got there, they had trouble finding it and started to schedule a new appointment for an oil change snd inspection. I looked up the appointment because I wanted to be sure they completed the services he selected. They found the original scheduled appointment with selected service while I was still at the service desk. The sales representative chose to change the service provided from a high mileage oil change and inspection to a routine oil change and inspection without stating the difference or asking if I wanted the different service. We called the dealership after realizing the miscommunication and they refused to assist in any way. The sales representative said "people select the wrong services online all the time so I just assumed you wanted a routine oil change." The sales representative recognized the differences in the two services and chose not to discuss with me which service was correct. This was an error on the sales representatives part and the lack of customer service following is why I will not return and would not recommend using this dealership for service or vehicle purchase. Very, very poor attention to detail and customer satisfaction! read more

My car signaled that my left tire needed air this morning. It became apparent that there was a leak somewhere, so I called service and they said to come on in. Once there it was found to have a tear in the side wall, so a patch wouldn't work. They did not have my tires in stock but could get one within 45 min & 15 to replace. They even found me a loaner. I actually had just gotten these tires and knew my warranty was at Belle Tire. Without hesitation the put my spare on for me and I was off. Robin in service was super helpful and really nice. I'd be happy to bring my car there again. read more

We bought a 2016 GMC Sierra truck on June 8, 2019. We are from Indiana and the title was to be given to us directly but the closer sent it in to the state of Michigan. Sonny the salesman said its faster to just order a replacement lost title and sent us papers to sign which we returned the next day. On Monday the 22nd of July, I placed a call with Sonny that we still do not have a title and the 2nd temp tag was expired. Sonny said he would check on the title issue and get back with me. That call has not happened as of 7/27/19. I sent a message to the dealership with no response. Becoming concerned over this title issue and communications have come to a stall. W. Pauley read more

So I inquired about another key fob and was told that they want 95 dollars just in labor plus the remote which is well over 100. I asked them what kind of programming takes a solid hour and a half??? They then tried to get me to test drive other cars that I was not interested in. The worst customer service. The salesman from whom I purchased my car, lied to me about was covered under the "certified pre-owned" contract. He said "everything and anything is covered, bumper to bumper." I showed him that the contract says it has 'limited' coverage. He said, "Don't worry about that. Everything that is wrong or goes wrong are covered for 12 months or 12,000 miles. Just call me." This was a lie. The things that were wrong with the car were not covered, and Fox Buick GMC were not going to fix them. In addition, none of my calls were returned by the salesman, so I had to go to his manager, and the repairs will be done. He also made promises about extra things he was going to give me... he didn't give me what he said he would. read more

I must admit they have done a good job of changing the mind set customer service aft r the sale NOT ALL the dealerships as GMC and Nissan have been great both on sales and service. FOX Kia and Ford never followed up with me on new vehicle After dealing with car sales people for 15 years as a support service most are scumbags but Fox tries to weed them out. I came for an oil change and a day later my car overheated. I explained this to the service person and suddenly they find a leak in my water pump. Overall, I get an estimate of $2200 for the pump and a catalytic converter! I decided to take it to my regular mechanic and he finds no leak, no anti freeze anywhere on the engine except a drop or two where it gets drained! An entire gallon low on anti freeze! The gallon was replaced for $45 and no more overheating! The catalytic converter didn't need to be replaced either! So from a $2200 quote to a $45 fix!!!!! I find this all way too suspicious and familiar with your dealership! No one even considered adding anti freeze to my car at your shop to see if that would fix it? No one thought it was odd that an entire gallon was missing, but there was none on my engine? Didn't put it together that this all happened the following day after the oil change or that during the oil change, when the fluids were being checked, no one noticed an entire gallon missing? Maybe when they rushed through my oil change they accidentally drained the anti freeze and didn't report it because I came in at 4:55 and they were trying to leave!!!! This isn't the first time I've had similar issues and I will never come to Fox Buicke again!!!!!!! I will make sure everyone I know stays away! They car was inn the shop 3- 4 times the first year I got it! It's been nothing but a headache! Now I'm wondering if maybe there's other reasons other than the car! I went there and got a quote for new brakes. They initially gave me a quote for new pads and rotors. I then requested a quote for new pads and resurfacing of the rotors. The technician went to his boss, and came back with the quote in writing. I went back to the dealership to schedule the brake service, and they told me that the quote for pads and resurfacing of the rotors was incorrect. They went and found the technician that wrote the quote, and he confirmed in front of me that it was the number that his manager had given him. The dealership still did not want to honor the written quote, that the technician confirmed in front of me. Worse, at no point was there even a weak attempt at an apology. I find that to be a totally unacceptable level of customer interaction. I went elsewhere for the brake service. read more

Used vehicle was sold with very low coolant level. After repeatedly refilling coolant reservoir, found that vehicle had coolant loss issues. First oil change done by dealership reported no issues. Two months later, after independent oil change found thick sludge, evidence that coolant was leaking into oil. As a result loud knocking has occurred and now it seems that engine needs replacing. 10 grand for vehicle and it's not been a year yet. read more

I bought my car at Fox Buick shortly after they acquired the dealership at 7 mile and Alpine. I have over 300,000 miles on my Rendezvous so I am particular about keeping it well maintained. I have had major (transmission replaced) to oil changes done on a regular basis done at Fox and have been overall quite satisfied. read more

I have been a customer of the service department since 2011 and have always been extremely pleased with them until recently while dealing with a recall issue we had no support from the new service manager to back up our claim with GM. Then I brought my wife's car in for an oil change and while there they called her up to ask if they could change the cabin filter and she said yes, great. We picked the vehicle up after work on the way home we turned on the blower and the entire vehicle started shaking, which had worked completely fine on the way there in the morning. The next day I bring the car back and the service manager calls my wife and tells her it will cost $300 to $400 to fix it. So we said "NO" it was not broke until they worked on it. I picked the car up later in the day and brought it home and fixed their screw up in 20 minutes. Unless they are charging a new shop rate of $900 per hour I think they call that fraud. I will not be back until there is new management. read more
