This was our first time trying Keller Chophouse and we enjoyed the experience. Our waiter was great and on top of things. We tried the moroccan beef rolls which were pretty fantastic. The crab shrimp tower thing was very good as well. I ordered the NY strip oscar style and it was cooked perfectly at medium rare. It came with a side of creamy mashed potatoes and we ordered creamed spinach, mushrooms and mac n cheese a la carte to share. Everything tasted great but I wish the sides were bigger. This place is a welcome improvement to the prior establishment and I look forward to going back. read more

I had made reservations but it was not needed. Place was almost empty, no wait on a Friday night at 7:30. So that had us super concerned. But that was short lived. Because the service and food was amazing. $15 Cocktails not so much. I could not even drink mine, it burned my throat so bad. $25 lobster Mac was so good. We both decided we could have just ordered this and been happy. My husband had a bone in ribeye and I had filet mignon. Both were cooked to perfection. Exactly like we asked. Cost of each plate was $59. For desert, we had bread pudding. It was ok. Nothing special about it. Total cost of meal before tip $214. For us, this place is super pricy, but we both really enjoyed our meal. So we will come back but only on a special occasion basis. read more

We ate here last night as a family of five. My initial impression upon walking in was neutral. The lights were low, tables close together, and the indoor seating area seemed relatively small. It was a cooler night so I didn't view the patio. I first arrived with 2 others from my party and was seated promptly and offered water, they waiter took our drink orders after introducing themselves. A few minutes later a woman in pink, I imagine she was the manager of the evening, took our appetizer order. We ordered two appetizers, the calamari, and steak bruschetta. A few minutes later the other 2 from our party joined. After another 10 or so minutes, our waiter came over to tell us that the order was not actually submitted, and that they were now working on it. He apologized and I told him it was not a big deal. He then took the drink order for the 2 that joined us. Approximately 15 minutes after that, he came over with some bread and butter and the drinks, and reassured us that our appetizers would be on their way shortly. We submitted our order for dinner during that interaction. Another 10 or so minutes after that, the appetizers arrived. (Around 45 or so minutes after I submitted the first appetizer order w/ the woman in pink). We then proceeded to eat and enjoy our appetizers, our waters were refilled at least once during this time. The appetizers were okay, calamari was mediocre and the bruschetta was a bit better. My biggest frustration was the fact that it took well over an hour for us to receive our dinner after ordering. Not only that, but only half the table received their entrees and the other half not for another 15 minutes. By the time everyone had their meals, half of them were lukewarm at best. We ordered 2 of the "specials" which were 3 3oz medallions, one 6 oz filet with asparagus, and one 6 oz with creamed spinach, and a child's Alfredo pasta. 1 bottle of sprite, 2 glasses of Chardonnay, 1 glass of Merlot, and one Stella. Additionally, we had one wedge salad, one Caprese salad which included 3 slices of tomato and 3 small slices of mozzarella, and the calamari (mostly batter and quite small pieces as well). The total bill was $407.74. The food was decent in flavor, nothing to write home about. Portions were far too small for what they charge. The service was severely lacking. At one point they came over and told us that they had to go back and yell at the kitchen, and somehow the kitchen was not a fan of them, which is why our food took so long to get out. I still tipped 20% because the waiter was nice enough but I will definitely not be returning and will not be recommending this establishment in the future. If you want to spend premium prices for subpar service and average food, go for it. I however would rather take the 15 minute drive to Ft. Worth or Southlake where the steakhouses are actually worthwhile. read more

I have been patronizing this restaurant off/on for the last 8 years and 2 owners. Tonight, I unfortunately saw rock bottom...they put a very young lady named Bonnie at bar. On a Wednesday most of patrons dine within bar area. Bonnie's inattentiveness/immaturity to "service" was ridiculous...I am sure the owner wouldnt appreciate her as setting tone for being a steward of his eatery. Specifically, Bonnie established a 1;1 conversation with a female customer. For the next 2 hours, I had to endure her diatribe/TikTok Millenial whining. Not a problem normally, I ended getting service properly by the acting manager, who is great. Until you remediate this immature employee I will not spend my dollars at Chop House. Wow! I am thrilled that this place is here. Was craving a streak and Keller Chophouse absolutely delivered. From the customer service to the meal, everything was fantastic. Our starter was the seafood tower (amazing) and we had the fish special, and the ribeye (WOW). Really Nice wine selection, and the cocktails are wonderful. As wine/cocktail/food snobs .. this place really is fantastic. Jesse was our server, and I would recommend him 10/10. If you get a chance .. give this place a try! read more

I took my wife here for the first time to try it out on Valentine's Day. I thought it was an appropriate place to go for a Valentine's dinner. However, I'm hoping our experience was just a one-off situation because the quality of the  service missed the mark big time. Food: The food was of very high quality, but more expensive than other higher class restaurants in Fort Worth. I ordered the filet mignon and my wife ordered the pecan crusted chicken. Both tasted great. While I ordered a small filet mignon, my wife's pecan crusted chicken was a fairly large portion. Service: It took a minute for the hostess to find our reservation and I ended up having to show our reservation on my phone. Once we were seated, our server (Shana?) said she'd be helping out. Although my wife ordered the chicken, we were brought the tuna instead. When we informed the person bringing the food, she had to take both dishes back and we had to wait for my wife's chicken to be made. Shana said she would reduce the bill due to the mistake, but that never happened. When were ready to pay, our server was nowhere to be found. We waited for 20 minutes and had to ask another server to bring the check. It's like our server just left and didn't say anything. Then when we got the bill, there was an extra item on it and the prices differed from the menu that we were given. I tried to alert them that there may be an old menu in the pile, but they just kept stating that the prices were right. At the end, they offered to get a manager, but we had already been waiting so long that we were ready to go. Ambience: It is a smaller place, but very romantic and they were playing great music. The only downfall is seeing the bustling 377 highway traffic directly outside the door.  Summary: Although the food tasted great, the service was not at the level that warrants the price point. Plus, we've gone to other restaurants in Fort Worth that were of a higher class, the service was 10x better and the other restaurant was less expensive for more food. read more

What a wonderful experience! New Years Eve is also our Anniversary. My husband made reservations here for our special evening, and they did not disappoint. We were seated almost immediately, even though we arrived a bit early. Staff was very friendly and professional, and worked to ensure we felt a priority. They had a 3 part drink list, including cocktails, specialties and wine. We pair a merlot with our meal, hubby had the 8oz. Filet minion with a baked potato, and I had the 12oz. New York Strip, with the Oscar topping. Both were could exactly as ordered, and had chef inspired flavor and presentation. Our server Anna was very helpful and friendly. I really have to take a moment to say to thank you to her and all the servers in the industry wearing masks, yet staying so pleasant and professional. Thank you so much for being so gracious and patient while creating high levels of carbon dioxide! We also had the Chocolate Rommulade (sp?) for a shared dessert, it was decadent! If you want to impress a date, the in-laws or a client, this is the place to do it. Even some of the conversations around us were interesting! My point is, this is the kind of place that people come too, when they want that high end vibe, while still in the best part of the metroplex. 10/10 will be coming here with the important people in my life. Due to travel, we haven't been to the Chophouse since late October, 2020. Returned Saturday with a party of 4 and could not be happier with EVERYTHING! Started with the Seafood Tower appetizer, first time ordering. Unlike a tower you would receive at Bob's or Mastro's, this is a round mold layered with a variety of ingredients (see menu). I really am not much of a sea food fan, with a few exceptions, but this was an excellent appetizer that is rich and delicious. Absolutely enough to share between 2-3 folks (as an appetizer), I would order it again without reservation. Salads were perfect size, fresh and cold. The entrees were 1. Bone-in Ribeye. I split the steak with a guest, plenty of meat. It was seasoned and cooked PERFECTLY. We asked the Chef to remove the bone and slice to share, spot on. 2. Filet. Absolutely perfectly cooked and seasoned. The quality of meat was one of the best I've ever had, the flavor was excellent. 3. Pork Chops. 2 generous portions, one went home. Now I would say the chops were "very good" but not as good as the steaks. I'd say that they were just a tad dry, but not "send back dry." I don't know if the Chef grills them first then finishes in the oven, or the other way around, but if that is the prep, I would guess it was a little too much oven time. But good flavor, good quality. The desserts were Chocolate Lava Cake (share for two) which is very rich and if you have a chocolate sweet tooth, this will satisfy it. And the Apple Tart (both with ice cream), absolutely excellent and you can tell made in-house. So as far as the food and drink, superb. By design, when we fine dine, we almost always sit in the bar area, elegantly comfortable and the service is always excellent. If you need something, a bartender is right there to take care of it, this is what works for us. The Chophouse has 4 booths that will seat 4 along with bar top seating (where we normally sit). The service provided by Miss Ashley and Bartender Jesse was as good as any local establishment we visit. We wanted for nothing, our orders were spot on, food was delivered in a perfect flow, nothing rushed, ample time to enjoy each dish. When I look at reviews from Open Table and Yelp, "service" is what they get beat up on more than anything followed by a complaint about the food itself. We have never dined in the main dining room for the reasons above I provided. The dining room is not particularly large, and as long as staffing is at a proper level, it should never be a problem as long as it is properly managed and supervised. So with that, I cannot address other complaints in this area. We have never had an issue in the bar area. One thing I will mention, the seating is a little tight in the main dining room under Covid conditions. Secondly, staff is still a little loose with mask wearing. There has been an improvement since the last time I visited, but staff wearing the mask below the nose or dropping it down in the kitchen plating serve area is unacceptable. Yes, masks are an inconvenience for everyone, but that is the way it is. A special shout out to Chef Javier and his lovely wife, his Sous Chef, you are both food artists of the highest order. The two of you are cooking and plating volumes of food that would make anyone's head spin. My wife and I appreciate your hard work and your unquestionable skills. My wife and I went out for our first restaurant date since COVID. We were excited to find out a nice steak house had opened in Keller. Oh well. First there is no COVID spacing or reduced capacity. Everyone wore masks but most with their mouths covered and nose hanging out. We were ok to risk it but others may not be. The appetizers were pretty good the food was brought out quickly and hot. Our waitress Bri was excellent. She gave me a wine suggestion that was very enjoyable and 30 dollars less than what I was asking about. Then things went bad. The wait for our main course was very long and when they brought our steaks out they mixed them up. I ordered mine rare and my wife likes hers medium. We had to send them back because my wife does not like very rare filet. They brought out two new steaks. My wife's was perhaps even less cooked than before. We sent it back. Mine was rare in one part and simultaneously burnt and cold on the other side. The potatoes they brought with mine were still cold. The heated my spouses steak from round 2 a little more making it where she could eat it but it was a mess since it was already dressed with blue cheese sauce. The manager was supposed to come talk to us but never addressed us introduced herself or apologized. I had to wait on her as we left to get her to talk to me. I didn't so much want to complain which I did but just to let her know she had a quality professional employee in Bri our server. Overall you can get a better steak down the road at Golden Coral (it was that bad). read more

We've come here a handful of times so it wasn't a surprise when my husband said we're going to Keller Chophouse. What was a surprise was the service. We sat for probably 10 minutes before our waiter came over to give the menus out. Literally just sitting there .... waiting, not to mention my daughter had someone else's lipstick on her water glass. Cocktails were good, the salads came out and we all looked at each other like where's the rest of it. The wedge was like a sliver and the caprese salad composed of 2 slices of tomato and mozz. Ok ok it'll get better. 3 Filets, NY strip, Mac n cheese, Brussels, truffle fries were all very good. The shrimp cocktail was inedible- they don't devein them- seriously it's poop! I sent that back and 15 minutes later (after everyone's dishes were removed) did my daughter get shrimp - that was sautéed, yet 1/2 cold in cocktail sauce. Yep that got left behind. The waiter never, seriously never came to check on us until the dishes were removed by someone else and he brought the check. My husband and I just wide-eyed stared at each other like "what in the world? We aren't coming back!" Daughter ended op only eating sides. read more

Well, we tried it. Keller Chophouse. I'm not a big decor guy, but it is a 90's flashback if there ever was one. Did not factor into the rating. We were, firstly, presented with stale bread. Unfortunate. Next, I ordered French onion soup. A travesty. Saying it was subpar is an understatement. Truly. I ordered the 14 oz ribeye and my bride ordered short ribs. The good news? Both were acceptable. Compatible to Perry's or that caliber? Absolutely not. The issue there is that they are priced similarly, which is a challenging reality. So, if you want a fairly decent piece of beef, and Keller Chophouse is convenient, it's ok. If you have options, exercise them. read more

Was able to make last minute reservations for New Year's Eve. After our experience it was obvious why they had availability. Waiter was nice, but not knowledgeable at all about wine (you should have a basic knowledge at a nice steakhouse). I had the prime rib, was very thin and flavorless. Mushrooms were underwhelming with a glaze on them but seasoning was way off. Finished with a chocolate dessert, also a let down. Way over priced for what we had. read more

We had reservations on a Friday night. The place was busy but didn't appear so busy that the service would suffer the way it did. The hostess was missing from the hostess stand for a good 10 minutes upon our arrival. She let us know that we would be past our reservation time before we were seated so we went to the bar to get a cocktail. The bartenders both appeared slammed. We witnessed the hostess chewing them out more than once and also saw a table in the bar get up and leave even after the hostess offered to pay for their meal if they stayed. We should have went with my gut and left. They ensured us that they were short staffed but they could handle our party of 6. The prices are very high. We are accustom to expensive restaurants that provide stellar service and exquisite food and we both commented at the pricing. We requested the restaurant week menu to which our waiter was put out with immediately. That menu looked amazing and was priced well but definitely lowered his tip range and he wore that feeling on his face. My husband opted to order off the regular menu and I went with the restaurant week menu. Our waiter was overwhelmed to say the least. The drinks (that we never got a chance to order at the bar) took forever. We were never offered bread but after I had an entire martini without placing an order for food I requested bread as I had seen it on multiple tables. I first asked the girl cleaning tables and she smiled and nodded. I later realized she didn't speak a lick of English. The bread never came. The waiter later let us know he was sorry about the bread one of the other waiters had taken the loaves in the oven and given them to other tables and then they put more in but someone burned it. So no bread. As slow as the meal was we ended up having desserts thrown to the end of our table before we were finished eating. He said it was because we had requested strawberry sauce on the side and if he left them in the kitchen they would get strawberry sauce on them. He didn't bring a spoon for my creme brûlée and I asked the smiling table cleaner for a spoon and she smiled and nodded again. After everyone was almost finished with their dessert I just got up and found a spoon myself. The food presentation was great and the food wasn't bad it just wasn't worth the price. The biggest issue was the quality of the service. If you have Chili's caliber wait staff you just cannot deliver Del Frisco's service. I don't want to slam this place as I love the idea of a nice restaurant in Keller but honestly there are so many better options for less money in Southlake or Grapevine or downtown Fort Worth. The entire experience just came off as a knock off version of a classy experience. I had heard lots of negative reviews over the years which is why we waited so long to try but turns out new ownership or new management can't fix the problems this place is plagued with. read more

After 8 months, decided to try again for birthday dinner. What a friggin disaster. Multi servers was the start. Not sure about which wines they have in inventory. Took a request for water refill, 1hr and 15 minutes later. They had 0 explanation why others walked by with water pitcher & never stopped at our table. Food still not here. Gave a 1 minute window to get our dinners out and behold here they arrive. Luke warm steaks. One asks, " oh, water do you want us to do?" No need to warm in microwave since meat will rubberize. We'll give you free dessert. Da. Server mentioned free dessert for birthday. Obviously, steak dinners were ready but the help never brought it out to only please 2 large parties. Hidden Gem in Keller Tues Nov 24, 2020 If you are looking for an upscale hometown eatery in Keller, TX you might consider The Keller Chop House. It is a relatively small steak house just south of the 377 / 1709 intersection that has been open only a few months. It occupies the space that was the previous home to Texas Bleu. The menu, and prices, lands this place somewhat in competition with other local steak houses like The Classic, Perry's, Bob's, Dino's, etc. However, this place affords the customer with a bit more intimate atmosphere. The major advantage of this place is its proximity to home. For no particular reason, we decided to try this place on a Tuesday night. That way we miss the typical weekend crowds, which may overwhelm the kitchen and wait staff. Our supper consisted of a drink from the bar, a single salad, the Filet Migon topped with shrimp tempura evening special and the Rack of Lamb special, both were requested to be prepared medium rare. Supper began with the spinach salad topped with sliced strawberries and candied almonds. All of the ingredients were crisp and flavorful as expected. The dressing was light and sufficient. Following the salad were our entrees. Each entree was accompanied with mashed potatoes and green beans. The potatoes were on the low side of warm and the green beans were crisp and fresh. Both main entrees were prepared as requested and tender as expected. I might add, each entree was covered with a brown sauce that somewhat distracted the taste buds from the filet and lamb. After we finished our main course, we selected the bread pudding and chocolate lava cake from the dessert offerings. Both deserts did not disappoint. Previous reviews on the Keller Steak House were not the best. However, on this night, Matt was our server. He was knowledgeable regarding the menu offerings and was very attentive. His service was prompt and Based on my previous dining experience, I give this place a 5 (out of 5) for location, 4 for atmosphere, 5 for music selection, 2 for music volume, 4 for bar drinks, 5 for menu variation, 5 for food presentation, 4 food preparation, 3 for food temperature, 5 for entree flavor, 3 for entree sides, 5 for dessert, 5 table service, OVERALL = 4. 5 - Must try 4 - Quiet Gem 3 - Just Okay 2 - Maybe a bad night must try again 1 - Unacceptable read more

I was really hoping to like this place. They had a beautiful patio, nice servers, and a creative menu, but it just wasn't great. If you are trying to be mindful of covid, note that none of the employees were masked. It started out bad with the cocktails. My mule was fine, nothing amazing, but fine. My wife ordered a gin drink that literally tasted like a chemical. She figured it was a bad, cheap syrup and ordered a gin and tonic instead. That was better, but the tonic was flat. We had calamari for and appetizer, which was the best part of the meal. The calamari was crispy and had a good seasoning. It was sitting in a bed of rice with sauce, which was was weird and made the bottom half of the calamari soggy, but still OK overall. The really bad part was the meal. I ordered a bone in ribeye, which was $55, so I expected it to be decent. I'm a bit of a steak snob, but I figured if chophouse was in the name, they could do an OK job with a ribeye. I ordered it medium rare. When it came out, it was overcooked. I sent it back, which I have only done once before. When the steak came back it was undercooked and unrested, which I kind of expected. The bigger problem was the steak tasted like gasoline or something. I don't know what they did to it, maybe a blow torch? I don't know, but it was horrible. My wife had the seabass, which was actually good, but over priced, pappadeux does a better job. For the price the food and service should have been much better.
