My plate had stains on it as if it hasn't been washed and my glassed cup had stains on the outside of it , my drink didn't even require anything for stains . i even ordered SCRAMBLED eggs & didn't get scrambled eggs . I used to go to a Keke's in Florida when I lived there, it was very good and was a pretty close second to places like First Watch. This place is not anything like that. It did not have the same type of feel to it, the food was a bit more bland and not up to par with competition. I give it 3 because service was friendly and attentive. Not sure if their food is any good. Never got to eat here. The kids that work here seem to really hate their jobs. Hostess didn't greet us. In fact, she wasn't greeting anyone. We kept watching her and a couple other employees while we waited for our table and about 10 minutes into our wait what we saw made us want to leave. An elderly couple were walking in. A bus boy or waiter, not sure his role, but he looked right at them as he walked past the front doors. He could've at least got the door for them but he didn't. Another couple closer to the doors than we were got the door for them. They walked up for the emo girl at the front desk who was obviously having a bad day and she didn't even acknowledge them until the man started talking. She treated them like dirt in her body language and response so we just left and walked to the other end where we received proper treatment at this little French place. I know collin county is booming right now but don't take your customers for granted because they will go elsewhere. My husband and I stopped by Keke's on a Wednesday for brunch, so it wasn't very busy. The restaurant was clean and comfortable, though not especially fancy. Our server, Kiki, was excellent. She was attentive, friendly, and made sure we had everything we needed throughout our meal. I ordered the eggs Benedict, and my husband had the chicken and waffles. We both enjoyed our food. 3.5 stars but since that's not possible on Yelp, I felt like 3 was appropriate. While decent food, I felt like there was nothing that stood out about Keke's. It felt like a lot of the other brunch places in the area. Now onto the review.... I recently dined at Keke's Breakfast Cafe with my husband and kiddo, and overall, it was a pleasant experience with a few minor hiccups. My husband ordered an omelet, though unfortunately, they didn't have mozzarella cheese, which was a bit disappointing for him. We also got light pancakes (they have 5 bite-sized you can order as a side ... and only 90 calories!) and home fries. While the pancakes were light, fluffy, and yummy, I wasn't a fan of their style of home fries--I prefer the cubed variety over the way they prepare them. However, their plain pancakes were delicious and perfectly soft with just the right amount of fluff. We ordered other things, too -- like sausage links, a kid's chicken fingers, and fries, lemonade, which were all good. The service was pretty quick, which was great, but we did have to remind our waiter a couple of times about things we had asked for. Specifically, water, straw, and condiments. The ambiance was well done--clean, bright, and inviting. The layout of the restaurant was thoughtfully arranged, providing a comfortable dining experience. The menu is pretty extensive, offering a wide variety of breakfast and brunch options, which is always a plus. Overall, Keke's is a decent spot for breakfast. This is a new establishment in McKinney that is still working out the kinks, but I had a great experience. My friend ordered a western omelete which came with country potatoes and toast. This looked like homemade from your mother's kitchen. I ordered the Tuna Salad and fruit which was ok. The Albacore Tuna was a little dry with just a little bit of celery in it. I ordered the veggie scrambler and they didn't disappoint on the eggs and the turkey bacon. The NYC bagel!!!! Was by far the best thing since my days in NYC. Coffee was hot and good without creamer. We came in starving and hoping it wouldn't be a long wait even though it was after noon on a Friday. No fear the place was almost empty. This is my 4th time here and it went from great to bad to worse. Took a while to get service just to order and like I said the place was not busy. Took even longer to get the food and once I get it and take a bite I notice the hair on my plate. And then here is where it gets worse. Our server, and what appears to be the only server, is chatting with a customer. I look for the manager, she is talking to a gentleman. When she's done she too goes over it the customer and sits down and joins the lengthy conversation. For over 15 min the server stood there chatting away while I'm trying to get her attention. I finally take my plate and walk across the restaurant and that was the only way to get service today. So the manager offers to make it again but at this point I need to leave. I sit back down and even then the server couldn't break away from the customer to come over and check on any of the tables that were all waiting for service. When she finally does come over, I tell her we need our ticket and need to leave. She says I have to get the manager. Within a min or so my food is brought out to go. I don't get it. I took my grandson out for breakfast and we have been wanting to try this place. We were greeted at the door and promptly given a great booth. This place is fairly new and it is very clean and appropriately gives off a great vibe. I had the eggs Benedict and my grandson had a waffle and a side of bacon. He said it was one of the best waffles he has had. My entree was good but nothing out of the ordinary. They serve only home fries (potatoes and onions) and that was fine by me, however my grandson wanted just plain hash browns and that is not offered there. My coffee was good and the service was excellent. The problem I had was that the meals total cost including tip was $48. Thats hard for me to swallow for breakfast. I honestly don't know whether we will be back or not. I am not sure the price justifies the offering. read more

I don't think they have been open very long, but they're doing pretty well. Were they perfect, no, but that will get better with time. The single pancake was huge. My wife had the chicken and waffles. She liked it and loves the Special syrup, but the chicken pieces were smaller nuggets versus chicken strips that you normally see at most restaurants. That fact alone wasn't that bad, but they were also kinda dark. Years ago, I had a restaurant, and I currently have a YouTube cooking channel, so I know that is caused by not changing the oil often enough. I had a friend in town and visited KeKe's for Sunday brunch. The staff were amazing - very helpful, kind and prompt. Melissa and Greyson took great care of us and kept our coffee mugs filled! Greyson asked and provided the name of their gluten free bread and where I can order, it's the best gluten free toast I've ever had! The food was hot, delicious, comforting and large portions. We unfortunately forgot to take photos - but I had the 3 egg chicken omelette with an apple cinnamon waffle, grits and gluten free toast and all was great! My mom and I decided to eat here for lunch and we were excited to try a new brunch restaurant but we were ultimately disappointed. Our server did not check up on us once and forgot about what we had ordered multiple times. I've been to a lot of brunch places and this was the slowest service out of all of them. We waited a long time for our food and it was basically empty, the other two women who got here after us got their food first and we'd been waiting for well over 20 minutes. When our food finally came out I was again disappointed. I ordered the chicken ranch wrap and it was basically all lettuce with hardly any chicken. The fries were basic, nothing special at all. I was still hungry so I stole my mom's bacon. Overall we won't be returning. We prefer the poached brunch place in Frisco and the Eggcited brunch house. Tell me you're corporate-owned without telling me. We gave Keke's a shot since they just opened nearby. The location's great, the place looks cute, and it was busy; all signs that things should go well. But they didn't. Against my wife's better judgment, we waited 40 minutes to be seated. Once we sat down, they brought us coffee (nice mugs!), but then nothing. Our waitress, Kate, didn't take our order for another 20+ minutes. Then another 40+ to get our food. We weren't the only ones: another couple, who had waited even longer than us, finally just walked out. Kate was kind and clearly frustrated, but overwhelmed. Just as we were about to leave ourselves, the food finally arrived: pancakes with brown, mushy bananas and eggs that looked like they'd been scraped from the bottom of a pan. At this point, we were done. That's when the manager, invisible until now, finally appeared. We told her we couldn't stay. She told us not to worry about the coffee. We tipped our waitress (felt bad for her) and left. We had my 92-year-old mom with us, and she and my wife were both hangry. So we ended up at Texas Roadhouse... thankfully, they delivered. With stiff competition in the breakfast/lunch space in this area, Keke's is not keeping up. They're riding the momentum of being the "new spot" in a busy, new plaza. But if this is the standard, there won't be much repeat business. We won't be back. read more

Tried Keke's for the first time. It's new so I'd give them some grace on time. The good is the ambience is nice. New clean modern. The staff and service were friendly. However the service was slow. I ordered decaf coffee. It took 15 minutes and was weak. The scrambled egg whites with Turkey sausage. The sausage was cold. The eggs were hot but drowned in some kind of oil and had a funny taste. My husband ordered the classic breakfast. His potatoes were a mixture of undercooked and burnt. Very underwhelming breakfast. And fairly expensive. The service was below par with literally no coffee refills unless asked more than three times. Food came all cold which was topped with a good long hair. You know how you eat food even though it's just OK but you're paying money for it so you feel you have to eat it? That was us at Keke's! First off, my coffee was cold. Probably the morning's leftovers. The refill was warmer.but not by much. Ordered an omelette because there was a pic of one at the table and it looked good. It wasn't. Seasonless omelette, filled with mushrooms, spinach, bacon, and cheese, accompanied by bland home fries and toast. We also ordered a cheeseburger (frozen patty, bun too small, had to upgrade to fries from chips). Passable. Would rather pay more to support local restaurants that serve good food! read more
