We tried Keke's Breakfast Cafe and were quite pleased. The cafe had a modern design, was clean and had an overall welcoming atmosphere. The staff were genuinely friendly. Our server certainly attended to us - there was no shortage of coffee, and my cup was always filled up. We ordered from the menu, and were very happy when the food was finally served. The fruit were sweet and juicy, the ingredients of the omelet were fresh and flavorful, the French Toast was scrumptious. Everything in the breakfast had a great flavor and was nicely served. Quality, fresh ingredients, in a great combination certainly hit the spot combined with the service. Prices are very reasonable. Two thumbs up, definitely worthwhile to check it out. Let's start with the Pros. Julio was fantastic. Friendly, attentive and made sure my order was correct. The booths are comfortable and the table moves which is great for my never ending weight shifts. The restaurant was clean. The coffee was delicious. My portions were good. I ordered a Southwestern omelet which came with Petal sauce which i had to ask what that was, a combination of Horseradish and Mayo and such and it was delicious. I asked for no cheese being 99% Vegan, a term I have come to terms with for myself. I eat eggs and honey but nothing else. The hashbrowns (Potatoes) were delicious, perfectly seasoned. They have onions but they are small and unnoticeable. My brother ordered Stuffed Blueberry French Toast and said it was good. He also got Bacon and eggs and liked those and coffee. I had a Wildberry Sangria which was strong and delicious. I didn't finish it though but I like the buzz in the morning before I go to work, lol :) The cons.... My brother wished they had steak and eggs, chicken fried steak, things along those lines.... it's more of a modern place with a more modern menu but speaking of modern, It's 2026.... where are the Vegan options? I know other reviewers have mentioned this before but I see nothing changed from then---Vegan sausage? Vegan Pancakes? Just Egg? Options people! Like I said, I eat eggs but what if I didn't? The service was friendly but they were a bit busy so not super attentive as they don't circle back to check on you until your plates are clear or you flag them down. I got the combo bc I wanted sweet and savory. I got the fruit French Toast and 2 sunny eggs with sourdough. I think the eggs were good -- nothing fancy just 2 basic fried eggs so not sure how much credit they should get for that. But the sourdough was perfectly toasted and buttered which I haven't had in a while. The French toast was great. Solid texture and flavor. Not too soggy or crunchy. Flavor wise it is more mild (I do cinnamon and nutmeg and the like when homemade) but with syrup and fruit chunks I enjoyed it. The Nutella stuffed one my friend got, she enjoyed but it is VERY stuffed and she only had "one French toast" with her combo. My wife ordered the strawberry pancakes, and they were fantastic. Went on a Sunday morning with a party of 76 adults and one toddler. We waited around 20 minutes to be seated, which was pretty great for a walk-in large party . As we all order different things, our drinks came promptly to the table, but when it was turned for the food, everything came out wrong and and all at different times . The worst was when it did come out it was still wrong, whether it was side or the way it was to be prepared. Although the server came by to apologize, things didn't get better. we weren't too happy with the dry chicken that came out of the kitchen. Tried KeKe's for the first time since I drive by the place do many times a day, we were able to get in immediately. Menu option is good, but wish they had biscuits and gravy, or a corned beef hash, more options on the combo plate as opposed to mostly omelettes with the normal eggs, bacon, sausage, pancakes and waffles. They do have grits, so some would think oh, biscuits and gravy. The food came out after a decent time, burger was good, onion rings were good as well, the waffle was good also. We did try and substitute the fries for home potatoes but they would not allow it, we had to order a side, not sure why or even if they have to up charge. All in all a good place if you want a basic breakfast, they serve lunch but to me not very many options. Staff were friendly & on top of things! We never waited long for anything. They had a high chair for our baby which was secure and at a great table height. The food is OK. Nothing spectacular but it will do for a simple breakfast or lunch. We've been there twice now, and I do not believe we will go again. The first off-note: Our waitron presented us with the bill immediately after the food was served. The general impression being, eat up and move on, ASAP. She kept returning to see whether we had slapped down our credit card yet, even though we weren't even halfway through our meal. We decided to box our food and enjoy it in a more relaxed atmosphere at home. When we left, we realized - just as we arrived at our parked car - that we hadn't taken one of our boxes & rushed back to reclaim it. This was about 45-60 seconds after leaving our table. Not only was it gone, but we were curtly informed that our box, containing half of an Eggs Benedict, had already been thrown in the trash. I'm not expecting Guy Savoy or Picasso levels of service, but Keke's wasn't especially crowded & the slapdash, scurrying, couldn't-care-less, inconsiderate attitude was offensive. Customers should be treated with respect (their patronage pays the bills!), not as mosquitoes to be swatted & forgotten. By all means go to Keke's if you want a simple average breakfast and don't expect good service. The nearby Early Birds restaurant is a far better choice - but also much more busy. While I didn't order breakfast on this visit, my friend did and thoroughly enjoyed her French toast. I got the cheeseburger. Such a simple dish done is a phenomenal way. Which is never a good sign. But we were patient and eventually got seated. But then we waited again. No one came to our table for drinks for 10 minutes. Our sever was really nice when she did come..,but...it had been 15 minutes by now. I ordered one of the special coffees advertised..,,and it came black with a bunch whip cream and too much cinnamon. It tasted terrible. The when my water came there was something in it. When we finally got our food a full 35 minutes later-I got a cold type of omelette. I asked the server what was on my plate as I asked to scrambled eggs with cheese. She said I had to order them country scrambled or they came how they did. No thanks. The grits were pink...the food is terrible and I don't recommend. I thought they were small business owns but turns out they're apart of Dennys. So steer clear of this place.
