Okay, the hype is real for this Keke's Breakfast Cafe. I've been hearing so many people tell me that it's a great restaurant. So I went with a group of friends to check it out for myself, and they weren't wrong at all! Great place! To start the experience off, we were treated with extremely helpful and friendly ladies at the front that did their very best to accommodate my large group of 13 on semi short notice. They updated us often on how much longer our table would be. They were super helpful & hospitable. I loved that! Once our group was sat at our table, we were quickly greeted and taken care of. They made sure we had everything we needed, which is always hard with a large group. With so many people, everyone needed different things. Our server handled it with grace & style and didn't skip a beat. Once the food came, I really got to see what all the hype was about. Not one person in the group was unsatisfied with their meal - which is saying something about my picky group of friends. Stopped by for a quick breakfast on a weekday and we were pleasantly surprised. Very clean and minimal decor, and we got seated almost immediately. Menu was quite big so we went with the cafe size breakfast with turkey sausage, grits, eggs, and apple cinnamon/chocolate French toast. Food came out quickly and everything was delicious, sausage tasted house made and not frozen, and other than the grits needed some flavor. First time here! This was our first time visiting, and honestly, I didn't come in with any expectations. The restaurant was clean, the ambiance was nice, and the atmosphere felt very welcoming. The food portions were generous, which is always a plus! Everything was good overall, but the grits definitely could've used a little more seasoning. Sunday morning at 11:30 looking for brunch with my wife and daughter. Originally planned to try the nearby Early Bird restaurant but they had an hour long wait list. Stopped at Keke's. Table in under 5 minutes! Our server was at our table in under 3 minutes to get our beverage order. Having eaten at a different Keke's in the past, I knew I wanted the Florida waffle ($17). Large waffle loaded with a ton of bananas, strawberries, and blueberries - the presentation alone is worth the price (see the photo). And it tasted as good as it looked. This place may be new since it doesn't have many reviews yet, but we decided to take our chances and I'm so glad we did. We showed up starving after almost 3 hours of pickleball across the street at Chicken & Pickle, and the timing worked out perfectly. We got there around 10/10:30 when it wasn't too busy, but by the time we left there was a line out the door. The inside is so cute, with most tables specially made for couples. Almost everything we ordered was amazing! The Nutella stuffed French toast was my favorite. My least favorite was the Southwest omelette; it's covered in tiny chili chunks that are neither spicy nor flavorful. Service was great too. While running some errands we were looking for a breakfast place nearby and had the ability to finally check out keke. We arrived mid morning and it wasn't super busy. We were greeted right away and sat immediately. Our server was quick to come by and get our drinks going. Food was ordered shortly after and came out very fast. All the food was cooked to order and tasty. The French toast could have been soaked a little longer and cooked a little longer as well. Ate breakfast here after church on a Sunday with my two adult sons. Parking is very convenient in the lot and when we entered, we were seated promptly by a friendly hostess. The place is very attractive and spotless with friendly staff. The manager even came over to ask how we were doing, which was nice. The food was delicious, however, they bring you one type of syrup in an unmarked plastic bottle and it is watered down with very little maple flavor, ugh! We came at Friday lunch time, no wait to be seated, but it does take a while for us to order and another while for food to arrive. Flavor wise it is more mild (I do cinnamon and nutmeg and the like when homemade) but with syrup and fruit chunks I enjoyed it. The Nutella stuffed one my friend got, she enjoyed but it is VERY stuffed and she only had "one French toast" with her combo. And I was disappointed that my bacon was not at all crispy, especially after confirming that my crispy request was on my check. Also, I didnt like the white, almost-sterile decor. We ordered a Belgian waffle with eggs and bacon, as well as an egg white cheesesteak omelet that came with Keke's signature home fries and a fresh strawberry fruit bowl. Everything was fresh, flavorful, and very filling. Our only complaint was the service. Although our server stopped by our table a few times to check on us, her customer service and attitude left much to be desired. At the end of our meal, she never returned with our check. After waiting about 10 minutes, we finally had to walk to the hostess stand to pay our bill. Despite that experience, we still enjoy Keke's Breakfast Cafe and would recommend it for the quality of the food and the relaxing atmosphere. My wife and our 7lb pet went here for brunch 9/24. We had been there 3 times before. The food was good the staff was good. The Manager has a hate for Pets and people that have them. We asked for some water for our dog. The waitress said "on its way". When she brought it it was in a dish. The manager followed her out the next trip and told us that they do not serve dogs water in a bowl, I said thats fine. I did not understand his attitude or his demeanor. It was definitely hateful. When the bill came I was told there is a $3.99 charge for serving the dog and I can keep the dish. The waitress pointed it out to me on the bill and said it was all her fault. My two egg special which came with cheesy grits and an English muffin, was perfect. They messed up on the order and put home fries on my plate, but Marie said that's just a bonus, so I enjoyed them. Wow! The home fries were some of the best I've ever had. Rather than being bigger chunks, the potatoes were thinly sliced, and were very crispy. Along with the bacon and onions in it, it was a hit. It was like the best thing about hashbrowns, but in a home fry format. The cheesy grits were also delicious. The English muffin was also very good. I'm not sure what kind of English muffins they were, but they were thick and dense, and were absolutely delicious. My dining companions' dishes were also good.
