He explained that shaking them and moving slowly while holding the upper and lower part of the accordion shutter works best. The prices were reasonable and the value for service received was good. I called Joe at PBC Locksmith, and he said he could be there in a half hour! He showed up just on time, was super friendly and really knowledgeable! The deadbolt was completely broken so he took that out and replaced it, and was able to just rekey the bottom lock. From start to finish he was probably done in a half hour, and simple payment through credit card. I will definitely be keeping his number in case any other lock emergencies should arise! They explained that we needed to get a letter signed by mom that gave us permission to enter her residence, and we needed a copy of her driver's license. After we obtained a letter and a copy of my mom's driver's license, we again called the number and were told a locksmith would be at her home in about 20 minutes. After 20-25 minutes Yuri arrived. He helped us get in quickly, (less than 15 minutes,) and it didn't cost an arm and a leg. The total cost was $165 and Yuri was very friendly and helpful.
