I sent him a picture of the lock mechanism I needed to replace, and from the picture, he knew exactly what parts I needed, he had it in stock, he quoted me the price, and I asked him several follow-up questions, and he immediately texted back and responded to all my questions. Then, he came immediately to fix and replace the lock mechanism. Guess how other locksmiths responded? Other locksmiths said they couldn't determine the parts by looking at the picture I sent, and they had to come out to do an estimate first. Four other locksmiths said it would take weeks to special order the piece, and my building's engineer said it would also take weeks to get the piece and days for someone to come just to look at the project. At 7 am this morning I had the pleasure of speaking with Eyal P. regarding the installation of a Schlage Connect Century lock on my door. I first contacted My Locksmith through Yelp and within 10 minutes I was in contact with Eyal. He provided a VERY reasonable quote for the job and immediately scheduled a service call and told me that Jaime would be at my house at 9:30am.(within 2 hours). At EXACTLY 9:30am Jaime was knocking at my door. (That's what I call being punctual!) Jaime was very polite and professional. Superior service!!! It was the night before Christmas (literally) when my sister and I realized that we were locked inside the house and couldn't get out b/c our front door lock wouldn't turn any more!!! We called My Locksmith - this was LATE at night right before Christmas day - and within an hour someone showed up (sorry, can't remember name) and opened up the door and fixed the lock. He was polite, answered all our questions, and really knew what he was doing.He arrived within an hour, as he promised, and the work took less than one hour. Because the door frame was so old, the lock couldn't turn completely smoothly, but the technician explained why and said that in order for the lock to work better, we would have to replace the door frame. We've been wanting to change our rusty mailbox lock, make our yard lock usable from the inside, and swap our old garage door lock for something more modern. Really great guy who had me text him a photo of my key to be sure he could duplicate it, then he hung around the office for a few extra minutes while I walked over. He quickly identified the key and found the appropriate blank. He then made a two copies for me and told me to be sure to to text him when I got back to ensure that they worked.
