I hate to say it, but, I agree with the folks that said this place wasn't good. Just read my earlier posts about places in Virginia and Hardeeville, South Carolina for better barbecue. The brisket was what I chose, even though people warned me against it and it was hard and burnt and chewy, not at all enjoyable. Mac and cheese and green beans were just average. And, my mother said sweet potatoe patties weren't good at all. However, we did like the ribs and the sauce to put over it, if you are interested. Overall, this is probably a local favorite, but not for out of towners who like good barbecue. read more

Outstanding BBQ. The Pork and Ribs were out of this world !! Highly recommended. We were in town for a business trip. Called Keith at 5pm and crazily asked for BBQ, sides, desert and tea for 40 people. Crazy huh !! Spoke with Keith and he said "NoProblem, I got you". Excellent food, close to the interstate and great atmosphere. Very casual and friendly. We had the pork butt on a sandwich with coleslaw, and a plate with bread and excellent fried okra. I've drove through Georgia many times and am always searching for a good bbq place. We stumbled upon this place when the bbq restaurant we was going to was closed. After walking in we were warmly greeted by the owner, Keith. I ordered the brisket while my mom and brother ordered ribs and smoked pork but. Everyone was overly pleased with their meals. We all agreed, that while most bbq places have sucky sides, the sides at Keith-a-que only added to the meal. Over all we loved the friendly fast service and delicious food. read more

Stopped here for some lunch on our road trip. The food was great. I had the brisket, my wife and daughter had ribs and the boys had hamburgers and chopped bbq. I tasted all of it and it was all good. Should've stayed on the highway, this is some of the worst bbq I've ever had. I ordered the brisket and ribs, both were the equivalent of boiled meat with liquid smoke. Both very tough and extremely fatty. Sides were bland, you ever hear of seasoning or a little salt and pepper. I had been better off with a Mcrib sandwich. read more

This is one heck of a BBQ spot. The hamburgers were patted out like a homemade one. The sliced pork sandwich was melt in your mouth tender. My granddaughter loved the chicken strips. The owner, Keith, stopped by our table and saw that she had eaten them and brought out more for her! He was very attentive to everyone there. Have stopped here a few times. The bbq sandwiches are great "road food" and a great value. I had a sit down meal this visit, and while the ribs were just okay, i got the combination plate. I also had the beef brisket as my 2nd choice, and took it and froze it for my ride back home as it was too much to eat. The leftover beef brisket warmed up in their sauce may have been the best brisket i have ever had, tender, juicy, smokey, etc. This is an amazing feat to have leftover taste so good. Brisket is a tough item to get right. When I go again, i will try this as my only item. read more

Always use Yelp to find a BBQ place in our travels. Because we are BBQ fanatics, it's hit or miss most times. This time was a HIT! We ordered a 2 meat platter with ribs and brisket. ($13.99) Also a fried chicken platter ($8.99) because BBQ places have some of the best fried chicken. We were DELIGHTED with the outcome!! All was amazing!! We also enjoyed the sides. Fabulous Mac and cheese. Brunswick Stew was authentic, which is pretty hard to find. Onion rings were very good! My only disappointment was the French fries, but I don't eat them anyway unless they are right out of the cooker. I should have asked for new ones. I am sure the very nice people would have served me some new ones. But we couldn't eat all we had ordered anyway!! The three piece chicken platter had a thigh, drumstick, and breast. It was EXACTLY the way I love fried chicken! Moist tender with crispy skin lightly breaded. We had enough food to take two brisket filled "rolls" for the remaining 6 hours of the journey to south Florida. We will definitely remember this place as a rest stop between Atlanta and West Palm in the future. read more

I was left feeling legit bamboozled. First, the Keith-a-que signs start one after another for miles down the highway. So now you're thinking.....Keith is a guy who's pretty proud of what he's doing with his smoker. And he's not afraid to boast about it. Then he really reels you in, the road weary exhausted broke traveler, with the promise of a "famous" $.99 Keith-a-que sandwich. Hot smokey goodness on a fluffy bun for less than a dollar? I'm definitely in. Even though it's a bit off the highway, the thought of hot BBQ instead of another congealed hunk of mystery meat was irresistible. Being the pig loving eaters that we are, we ordered 10 for the road. Off we went on our way many miles down the highway. Then we unwrapped the first one, anticipating that beautiful first bite. Wait. Great!!! Stopped off on our way from Delray Beach, FL to Atlanta. Very "mom & pop" feel, nothing fancy but just what you want in a BBQ joint. My husband had the pork and I had the smoked chicken which I could not get enough of and he kept stealing off my plate...GET THE CHICKEN! Coleslaw was also great!!! Stopped here during a long drive and it was absolutely perfect! We were hoping for some good barbecue in Georgia and Keith-a-Que delivered. I got the rib plate with coleslaw and sweet potato patties. The ribs were fall off the bone good and the sweet potatoes were the best thing I've ever had. I have eaten a lot of sweet potato fries but never patties, I don't think I will ever be happy with fries again! My boyfriend got the pork butt and it was juicy, smokey awesomeness. He also got the barbecue beans (that I couldn't stop stealing) that were so great, the perfect amount of sweet and tangy. The service was great, so nice and friendly! I only give it a 3 because of the bbq sauce selection it was lacking and it was a bit disappointing unlike the ribs they were amazing! I shared the combo for 2 with a friend and added a third side. We shared the ribs copped pork the were cooked to perfection and the pork was sauced and cooked well. If I came back I'd get ribs and the pulled pork( they were out of brisket that would have been my choice). The bread cole slaw and sweet potato fries were good not amazing but nothing to complain about. The Mac and cheese was a basic bbq mac and cheese was average. Not what the reviews raved about. I go for cleanliness first. Only 3 parties there and tables were cleared but not cleaned. Portions were huge! But ribs were fatty. Other meal was fried chicken. Beef was good but aleady covered in sauce so no way to tell if it is really good bbg. Stew seemed old but still had a great flavor. Found this place using yelp app while heading back to South Fl. First and foremost, the place is well kept and clean, the bathrooms were also well maintained. You will not have a waiter, but its not needed. The food was fresh and very tasty. I had the rib and beef brisket combo, all of the food was juicy and tender. Sweat tea hit the spot! read more

If I could give them a zero star, I would. Their brisket sandwich was on white sliced bread with two thin cuts of meat, which was very dry, with no sauce. Mac and cheese was mush and their cheese sticks were lukewarm at best. Did I mention they were rubbery as well. I would not feed this crap to my dogs. Traveling home from Florida and found Keith-a-Que with my yelp ap...it was awesome!! First, don't judge a book by it's cover...the outside looks a little run down. Inside was a very clean and nice dining room AND restrooms. Our total bill was $32 and my husband ordered the ribs plate, I ordered the pulled pork plate "Boston Butt" and we ordered two kids meals. Theresa took great care of us and accommodated our kids with "design your own" kids meals (which was not on the menu but she suggested making cheese sticks a side item when she heard my son asking about them. ) The portions were huge...my husband couldn't finish his fall off the bone ribs and that doesn't happen...ever. The pulled pork was really the best ever...moist and flavorful. I can't decide which sauce of there's I like better, but lean towards the mustard one. The other one has a mustard base too and a tangy flavor. The coleslaw was delicious (both plates came with two sides and bread.) I will totally recommend this place to all my friends traveling past Ashburn, Georgia! read more
