Great Turkish food isn't something you can find much in the US, in my experience. I'm always excited to have some well in Europe! In a rare occurrence, my husband chose this restaurant based on reviews, and it was a fantastic choice.
We were there for lunch around noon, and while the place was initially empty, it got completely full within probably about 30 minutes. There are two parts of the restaurant, one dine-in side and one take out side. The take out side is full of delicious looking foods in a glass case. Even though I was stuffed after I left, the food looked so delicious I was tempted to buy more! This would be a great choice for takeout.
We ordered the lunch special, which included an entrée and choice of appetizer/side. I went for the donor kebab and veal patty plate with a side of Tzatziki, which ended up being a fantastic choice. The meat was flavorful and all of the sides on the plate we're excellent also. I loved the Tzatziki, I could probably eat that alone all day long!
We also ordered an appetizer plate, consisting of hummus, feta salad, and some kind of cheese and red pepper dip. All of them are excellent; I think my favorite was the red pepper dip. My husband ordered the moussaka, and while it took a little while to come out because it was a baked dish, it was definitely worth the wait. It was flavorful, dense, and just really delicious.
For dessert, we ordered Turkish delight, baklava, and another pastry item that I don't know the name of. They were all good, but not amazing. We accompanied our meal with some Turkish one in Belton beer, and while I do find it interesting to try Turkish wine, I found that I much preferred French.
This is a solid choice for Turkish food in Paris, I'd definitely recommend visiting! read more
