Jonathan is a rare breed of technician who knows his stuff thoroughly, is incredibly helpful, and won't rip you off. We were having a problem with our Suburban PTAC unit, and Jonathan scheduled a FaceTime call with us to help us diagnose the issue, even before coming out for a service visit. He saw that we were pretty handy, and explained to us various things to try ourselves that would either diagnose or fix the problem. Later, while continuing the discussion with Mike, we were able to diagnose the problem and realized we could fix it using parts from a spare Suburban PTAC unit that we had in storage. Indeed, it was a quick 10 minute repair that I was able to do myself while at home, and now our heat works again! I really respect the non-patronizing, helpful attitude that Jonathan and Mike had, and that they were willing to give me the information I needed to figure out what was wrong with (and even fix) our PTAC. I'll definitely be calling them again for any HVAC job, big or small. read more

Both times the technician (Mike) has arrived on time, has been very thorough in diagnosing the problem, and expedient in fixing it. Somehow he has managed to keep them running for us nearly 15 years! It's hard to get them on the phone but keep trying because it's totally worth it! They came on time, super professional. The guy knew exactly what he was doing, worked around an hour and a half only charged for an hour's work and the part he replaced. The service was great and price was lower than anywhere else. He's a smart guy who figured out what was wrong with my AC. PSEG came twice and didn't figure it out. There was frost on the pipes and the AC wasn't functioning. He diagnosed it as a motor issue and suggested that we call PSEG to replace it since we had a Worry Free contract. Will use him again. read more

The positive reviews on here don't lie. We picked Keep Cool for our annual AC checkup in part because of the 5-star rating, and Jon absolutely lived up to it. He showed up at a set time, on-time (no 4-hour window!) and was very nice and honest. He really took his time, going over our whole system and even cleaned our re-usable air filter. It's nice to meet a contractor who does things the right way, and doesn't cut corners or try to sell us services we don't need. I've been using Jon for several years and he's great. He's honest, prompt and his prices are fair. He has never tried to rip me off, which I can't say for some companies. I have him check my heating unit before it starts to get too cold, and my a/c unit prior to it getting too hot. He has replaced my water heater, too, and did a great job every time he's ever done any work for me. I've been using Keep Cool Heating and Air Conditioning for several years now. I found them because a part went on my unit and the warranty stipulated that I needed to use an authorized Rheem company. I had Jon come back the following season to perform maintenance on my unit and he's been performing regular maintenance on my unit since. This past summer my air stopped working and Jon was able diagnose it and "fix" it over the phone-PSEG had cycled my system off! He didn't even need to come out.
