C&C told us about rebates and financing from NJNG which was a tremendous help financially. They (C&C) also gave us 3 years of free maintenance check ups for both the heater and AC. The technicians are great and know their stuff. During this past crazy cold winter there was a quick power outage and the heater shut off. We called them at midnight and they called back quickly and walked us through how to get it running again - simply turn on the switch. They called again the next morning to see if everything was OK. Customer service is good. The only thing I would not call them for is plumbing. The prices are RIDICULOUS - like $400 to change a fill valve in the toilet. We were desperate and would have had to pay a $125 service fee anyway. (We also had other plumbing items done which we were equally overcharged.) I would recommend them for heating and AC service.

Cannot say enough positive about my experience with Strathmore! First, let's start with the…read moreinitial call. I had worked with another HVAC company to help diagnose the issue but unfortunately, they were short-staffed and couldn't come out. I called first thing in the morning on Friday morning. I told the man on the phone what I thought was the issue and surprisingly, he told me that he could have someone out to my house the same day within hours. Only 2 hours later (right when he said he would arrive), our technician arrived. He was very courteous and explained the issue and what needed to be done after he quickly confirmed the diagnosis that the blower motor on our HVAC would need to be replaced. Now, my friend who was an HVAC tech told me that a capacitor replacement would be the easiest to replace but a motor would take 2-4 weeks to replace because of supply chain issues. Surprisingly, the technician told me that he would order the parts and have them overnighted. The parts were in stock from his supplier and they arrived on Friday. First thing on Monday morning (they're understandably closed on Sundays) I received a call that the part had arrived and he would be over within hours to come and install them. Again, he arrived prompt and on time. He ordered an additional part for the blower just in case it was also damaged (which it was) and he ended up installing the new motor and fan and capacitor by 11am on Monday. The price was very reasonable and there were no surprises there. It was an absolute pleasure working with Strathmore and I highly recommend them for your HVAC repairs.

No response of any kind, and no apology or explanation. When I asked why, I was answered with silence. Someone came the next day, but I am elderly and ill, and sleeping in a frozen house caused me much physical distress. And, this is the SECOND TIME this has happened with Mann's. Not reliable, not to be trusted, despite the high cost of a written guarantee of emergency help.
