I came here in an effort to get my nails done in a more hygienic environment and loved the experience. The women who work at the front desk are knowledgeable and friendly, and my nail tech (Sofi) did a great job. Def coming back! read more

After visiting Keen a half dozen times, I think that the vibe is cool, the place is really clean, the people are very nice, and the price is good for Arlington. Overall, I am rating the services four stars: -The pedicures are consistently good -- the technicians take care to do their best and the pedicures last long. -The manicure wasn't as great -- the technician didn't polish the entire nail, missing the areas closer to the cuticle on the bottom and on the side, for most of my nails. The end result was a little sloppy, and the manicure that looked older than it was. However, the shaping, cuticle cleaning, etc., was fine. - I got the "make it extra" for my first couple of services, but honestly I don't think it is worth it for either manicures or pedicures -- some people have gotten great massages in the services, which is wonderful, but that wasn't my experience. read more

I had a keep it extra pedicure with dazzle dry. Anika was wonderful. I got a French pedicure and it came out beautiful! My toes look great. The massage was my favorite part....the hot stones felt so good! Keen is the best place to go.....and the hot tea was perfect! read more

Best pedicure experience. Obsessed with the non-toxic commitment (your senses aren't assaulted with the smell of polish and acetone when you walk in, which is a novel concept for someone who has been getting pedicures at traditional nail salons all her life). The absence of the traditional tubs of water also went unnoticed - I left feeling clean and a convert of the waterless pedicure. In fact, the entire experience feels so sanitary. They really have nailed the true self care experience: from the wonderful foot massage, quality non-toxic products, and complementary tea (loved the cold hibiscus) -- I look forward to coming back. read more

Keen is everything it says it is, "an experience you'll actually look forward to." I live on Long Island, NY and work in Manhattan where I will usually go for my manis/pedis. I was in Virginia over the Thanksgiving Holiday, and I can easily say I have yet to find a place which compares to the attention to detail, quality work, refreshing hospitality, and luxurious foot massage (included with the pedi), I received all in the same visit. And happy to add that both polishes are still going strong. It wasn't my first time there, and I made sure to get back to Keen during this visit as well. Thank you! Bring it to New York! Until then, I look forward to my next trip! read more

Had such a great experience with keen today for a pedicure! First of all, aesthetically speaking, keen is top notch. The second you walk in the door you feel a sense of peace - which is drastically different from your typical nail salon. The color choices are great and the added touch of featuring women & POC brands is great. If you haven't experienced a waterless salon before, it's the way to go & keen does a fabulous job with their offerings. The Keep it Extra pedicure was outstanding - I especially loved the gua-sha, so unique and most importantly, relaxing! 15/10 for keen and the team, you now have a lifelong customer with me! read more

I was in need of a new salon for a builder gel manicure so I decided to give Keen a try and I'm so glad I did. I hadn't had a chance to get my nails done in a while so they were looking really bad with old builder gel still on them and all grown out. My amazing technician took great care to remove the old gel, get my nails back to normal and give them a perfect length and shape. I enjoyed the vibe in the salon as well and decided to book a pedicure for the next day. I had never done a waterless pedicure and was a little unsure if it would be a similar experience to a traditional pedicure but I think it was actually better. To be honest, I had never considered the sustainability aspect of a pedicure so I'm glad this experience has helped me make the change. I really enjoyed my pedicure and felt comfortable and relaxed. I'll for sure be back; I think I've found my new favorite salon! Also, everyone is super nice and the hibiscus tea is awesome! read more

Keen - My nails - Nail Salons Near Me - Arlington, Virginia

Really great service. Go! Even if you're feeling undecided about a waterless pedicure, I think there is so much you'll like here. The salon is clean with a nice vibe, the touches are high end, and the chairs are heavenly. I am surprised to honestly say I prefer this to a traditional pedicure with tub. read more

I wanted to like this place so much. I really did. I love the idea of their business model of clean, natural nail products. I'm sensitive to chemicals so this is great for me. Plus they focus on brands from POC. However, my experience wasn't good. My manicure on my hands started chipping almost immediately after I got them done, despite getting gel which should've lasted weeks not hours. Also, the woman doing my pedicure, ended up scratching my big toe, which caused it to bleed and eventually get infected after she tried to clean it out with alcohol. While things have improved, my toe now occasionally "tingles" and doesn't seem like it'll ever be the same. I'm really disappointed by my experience with Keen and won't be returning. read more

Really nice salon! I'd never gotten a waterless pedicure before, but it was just as good and I applaud their the commitment to sustainability and nontoxic polishes. Great color options. The technician only did 2 coats instead of 3 on one of my nails because she had to do one over, but I appreciate the attention to detail. They also offered a beverage and provided a basket to contain your purse/things, which I thought was a nice touch. Also appreciate that she asked whether or not I wanted cuticles cut. Easy to book and check out. Note that the website description is a little misleading; it says "option to upgrade to gel polish", but that only refers to when you are booking. I asked to upgrade to gel the day of at the appointment thinking that's what it meant, but it caused a bit of a flurry as they said the technician was booked solid and might not have time (apparently it requires a longer appointment). They were really nice and accommodated it anyway, but just FYI if you want gel be sure you know when booking. One of my nails did chip a tiny bit a few days later, but I couldn't come in to fix it as I was on vacation so just clipped it off next time I trimmed. read more

I've been coming to keen for a while now and realize I never posted a review! If you're looking for a nail experience like no other, you NEED to come here. Trust me this isn't your average nail salon. I've been getting builder gel and my nails have never looked this long and healthy. I also work in healthcare and they have managed to stay strong through constantly washing my hands and hand sanitizer. This isn't an in-and-out nail appointment. The massages, meticulous nail care, and complimentary water and tea really make this a spa like treatment. Keen really prioritizes on self care! Also nice to see a local business support other businesses by shopping local and sustainable. read more

Love the aesthetic of this salon! Very clean inside, super peaceful, and the staff was lovely. My pedicure was absolutely amazing, and better quality than what I had been getting closer to home. Plus I brought my toddler and they were super accommodating!!!!! She had a wonderful time. Thank you Keen!! read more

I love this place! I've been coming here regularly since October and have great gel manicures each time. And they last! My last gel didn't start peeling until week 3. I love the atmosphere/vibe of this place, very spa like and relaxing, and the nail technicians, the 3 different ones I've gone to, have done amazing jobs. In addition, I'm always greeted very warmly when I walk in and they will even help me pick out colors if I'm trying to nail one down. I've only done manis so far but will probably do a pedi once open toed shoe season is upon us. I'll add that I love their self schedule feature on their website. Highly recommend and will keep coming back. read more

I love the quality of the pedicures, make sure to bring flip flops. I recommend planning to arrive 10-15 minutes early if you are street parking, otherwise there is garage parking nearby. I've been here twice now, the person doing my manicure did use some Russian techniques. Friendliness from staff at the front varies based upon who is working. My first experience was terrible and the girl working at the front was not friendly, however my second experience was far different and the girl working was so much more friendlier, welcoming, and even helpful. read more

The most relaxing nail salon experience! Keen is so beautiful, elegant, calm and clean. From the moment you walk in you feel at peace. I was greeted by Brittany who was very welcoming and asked if I like some still or sparkling water. The color selection of nail polishes are great and not overwhelming at all (from someone who always spends forever trying to find the right color, I did not have this issue here). My technician Nima did an amazing job she's very thorough in the shaping cleaning and applying of the nail polish. Her massage almost put me to sleep! The recliner chairs are so comfortable. This was my first ever experience with a waterless nail salon and I love it! I always hated how my skin would feel after being in the water too long and how it's more prone to over cutting cuticles and skin. Also how dry my heels would feel in the days after but this was not the case here!! I'll definitely be coming back again. read more

A keen manicure/pedicure is truly a self care experience! I've been seeing Ezzy for my builder gel manicures for about 10 months now and my natural nails are healthier than ever. I've seen various technicians for my pedicures and they all do an incredible job. Ever since switching to waterless pedicures I've noticed way LESS callus build up on my heels and they stay smoother much longer. Besides giving a great service , this place is an overall VIBE with their hot tea choices, mellow music and incredible aroma keen is my self care haven read more

I had been waiting for the right moment to come here. As a new mom it's been super difficult to find time for myself, let alone plan ahead by making a reservation and risking paying a no show fee because life happens. I booked an extended massage with my pedicure and the polish change. The massage was basically just like a light scrub or something, it did not come close to what they had labeled as a massage. Secondly, the once we got to the polish change for my hands, there was a lack of communication that led to her thinking I was getting a manicure and applied cuticle remover which burned my skin for the whole day. It was super uncomfortable. The nail polish I selected took hours to harden and ended up smudging later on. For the price and for what they advertised, this was certainly not what I was expecting. Definitely not coming back. - UPDATE: I was not contacted by Keen, I checked my phone and Yelp messages and there was nothing. Hoping to actually hear from them. read more

I see Tina for my super short mani pedi champagne french tips. It is super difficult to get the French just right for how short I like to keep my nails and Tina always does such amazing nail art. My husband and I visited Keen for the first time today and we are VERY impressed with this holistic approach to nail care! The products Keen uses are fantastic, no toxic odors or chemicals, and the aesthetic is clean and bright! We absolutely loved our service today, especially the Builder manicure with Ezzy who is AMAZING! She did a fabulous job, and we have already booked our next appointments! Thank you to Emily at the front desk for making our check-in and check-out experience so seamless, and shout-out to Sam, the owner, for welcoming us! Very clean and very professional place . I look forward to try their waterless pedicure.

The best Nail appointment I've had in a long time. I got a Gel manicure today by Soko. She had incredible attention to detail and cleaned my nails up incredibly! My nails were rough coming in an I left loving the new look! This salon was so clean. You can tell that they use clean tools on each guest. Environment of the salon was calm and luxurious. They had their polishes organized by color and brand which gave me an odd sense of relief picking my polish! Great playlist plus it's beautiful inside! I can not wait to go back! read more

The quality of the manicure is not worth the cost. My nails were filed aggressively to almost the quick to make them far more narrow than looks good and nothing like the shape I had requested. I was left with oddly shaped nails too short to fix. read more

Keen is an awesome place to go if you are looking for a really good NON-gel manicure! For various reasons I don't do gel and find that a lot of salons don't do very good non-gel manicures anymore. However, the Dazzle Dry option at Keen is really good and my technician did an excellent and careful job on my manicure. It still looks great a week later! I will definitely be going back! read more

Had an absolutely amazing experience with Tina! I'm visiting from out of town and needed a manicure and pedicure badly. Made a same day appt with Tina and she's such a lovely person, we had great conversation, and I left with a PERFECTLY done manicure and pedicure. She had great attention to detail and I felt super well taken care of. The ladies at the front desk were also so super kind. They even helped me figure out parking which was difficult during the lunch rush. Had such an amazing experience and I'll be the first customer if a keen ever opened in San Francisco! read more

I had such an amazing experience at keen!! I made mani/pedi appointments for both me and my 75 y/o grandmother who seldom gets manicures, so she was quite nervous. Our nail techs, Toki and Nina, were wonderful and did an amazing job for all of our services. The atmosphere of the studio is amazing and so calming. keen also offers complimentary tea to customers which really sets them apart. Sam, the owner, is so sweet and genuinely cares about the experience of her customers. I highly, highly recommend going to keen!!! read more

I was looking to get BIAB done and found this salon right down the street from me. The ambiance is very relaxing and the interior is very stylish. I love that they bring you hot tea or water as well! The staff is extremely friendly and they have been very timely every time I've been there. I also really like that you can book online and use a card on file to pay it makes the process very streamlined. I've been seeing Ezzy and she has done a great job on my nails so far. I really appreciated that when I asked for a design she said she wasn't sure that she could do it, but that she would try and she was very honest with what she could do. I don't usually like getting my nails done at the salon but she has taken great care of me and especially making sure my nails are all the same shape which is something i commonly have an issue with. I will definitely continue coming back for the foreseeable future! read more

Experienced my first waterless pedicure today at Keen and absolutely loved it. Like many reviews I read before going, the waterless concept seems weird conceptually (especially being used to regular pedicures) but in reality it's wonderful and feels much more hygienic! I also had accidentally clicked manicure when scheduling my appointment and they graciously accommodated my mistake and changed it to a pedicure. Shoutout to Nagi for the amazing pedicure and the sweet front desk lady for help selecting a polish color. Great experience, I'll definitely be back. read more

My cousin and I went here and got the "keep it extra pedicure." They are priced at $65, which was fine for what the description read. I was willing to pay the extra to just genuinely find a better place that was clean and sustainable. I really wanted to like it here. But I've never been so disappointed with a nail salon before. Paying extra for callus removal is standard, but when I do I expect my feet to be soft. I honestly couldn't even tell that they were treated. They also charge extra for fast drying polish (not gel), but have no mechanism to dry your polish. I sat with a fan on my lap and my feet up for 15 minutes and they still smudged as soon as they took the cotton out between my toes. I don't think it was worth the money. My feet look not great and overall expected more for the cost. read more

I recently got my second builder gel manicure at Keen and both experiences were fantastic! The studio's atmosphere is wonderful and my nail tech, Ash, was incredibly nice and talented. Immediately after walking in, I was greeted by the front desk, offered either sparkling or still water, and was given a tea menu to look at. One of my favorite things about Keen is how sustainable and all-natural it is, I appreciate how nice it smells in here, so different from the other nail salons that I have been to in the past, and I know that this studio has set my standards very high! The owner Sam was in the studio and she was very helpful in suggesting colors that would match my desired design and was a nice and calming presence! She has created a wonderful business, and it was nice to see just how hands-on she is! In terms of my nails, I showed Ash the design that I wanted and she replicated it perfectly I am thrilled with the result! I cannot wait for my next refill, and I 100% recommend this studio to everyone who asks! read more

I'm a straight Black man who considers himself to be quite masculine, so like a lot of guys like me, I house a few illogical insecurities about "getting my nails did." I went into Keen wanting to be blown away, or in awe enough that I would feel fine going back and also spreading the word. I have to say that this place is THE TRUTH. Extremely clean, calming, and professional. There was zero smell of chemicals. I can't stand that smell! Whenever I've been dragged by my wife to get a manicure or pedicure at other places in the past; the smell is overwhelming, there is a bunch of chatter going on, there are televisions with some goofy program on, the water bowls give me the willies. I could go on and on on why I, and probably a lot of men like me would rather avoid a typical nail salon. This place has none of those typical pain points, for me. The actual service of the manicure and pedicure was so calming that I practically fell asleep. All I get done is a simple cleaning up of my cuticles, buffering, and slick filling of my nails. I bite my nails a lot so, I need a bit of a tune up - if you will - from time to time. The techs I've used were all great. Ezzy, Solo, Emma, and Toki. I would recommend this place to anybody. read more
