Good atmosphere, good people, & good food. There is a lack of entertainment for the winter months. They got rid of the pool table and no darts. Very disappointing!! Their food is good but their service sure isn't! We have enjoyed breakfast here many, many times. The waitress/hostess usually suggests just choosing any open seat. This time the waitress/hostess wanted to seat the two of us at a small table right next to the front door. There was a table for 4 in the corner and since it was not busy at all - I asked for that table. The waitress/hostess was quite put out that I would have the nerve to over-ride her and flatly refused to seat us there. She said if we did not want the table at the door then we could sit at the bar. We wound up sitting at a long table for 6 in the bar area. Couldn't have a table for 4 but we could have a table for 6! We placed our order and the food became cold very quickly because we were sitting very near the fan. Will be looking for a new place for breakfast. read more

I have been to the Cabin half a dozen times (or so). I find the atmosphere to be odd and cliquey, and not always welcoming. The staff is sometimes friendly - sometimes not. Service can be very slow. I have waited a very long time to get a drink, because the bar tender was talking to friends, and not watching the bar. I have eaten there twice, both times, the food was served cold and greesy. The last time I ate there, we didn't even get our entire food order. I give it 2 stars only because they have my brand of beer - it is not always cold, but I'm feeling generous with my rating. I only stop when I am meeting friends, because it is a mid point for us, and there is nothing else in the area. (I will no longer eat there). read more

During the summer, I'm here every Tuesday for volleyball. The specials they have on sandwiches are great and I ALWAYS get cheese fries - I'm addicted to them. The outside service during the games can take a little longer but I know it's just because there are so many people out there playing, eating and drinking. I've never had a bad meal here. read more

Actually felt awful after eating the fish fry on Friday night. Felt bad all day Saturday too! The fish was very nice as far as the pieces of fish, however, must have been cooked in old oil. Will not eat here again. Have been here before and the food was mediocre and now since I gave it one more try and actually felt awful from the food - no more! read more

Breakfast... Delicious!!! Best breakfast I have had in the area for a long time!!!! I ordered blueberry pancakes. They were fluffy and the blueberries were fresh! Bad service and mediocre food. We played volleyball and ordered at the outside bar...that was a great experience. Then we dined inside for dinner with my family and that experience was awful. My daughter had a kiddy cocktail and spilled it (on accident of course) the waitress seemed annoyed and never offered us a dishcloth or to help clean it up or anything. I cleaned it with some napkins and she seemed even more annoyed when she had to take the napkins. She gave us the bill five minutes after our food came out and then disappeared. When we finished eating, she still hadn't come back to the table. So I went to the counter and there was a young man standing behind it and I asked if I could pay for my bill with him and he said he wouldn't be able to help me. Maybe he just was a delivery driver or something, but he didn't even get anyone to help me. Finally the bartender came over (even tho she seemed very busy) and was very polite and helping me. I gave her my credit card to pay for our bill and she said the credit card machine was down so I would just need to fill out a piece of paper she had and she would run the card when the machine was back up and running. As I was signing the paper she gave me, our waitress came over and asked the bartender "what are you doing?" And she explained to her the credit card machine was down. Our waitress looked at me and said "there is an ATM right over there u can just get cash out for the bill" I said "well I don't want to get charged for using the ATM." Came up here from the city to go skiing and stopped to check it out, First This place is strange, a lot of people go here but I don't know why. It's a small bar with a lot of outside seating, the inside is ok with chinsy decorations and for some reason it smelt like puke and fart. The waitresses and bartenders are nice but the manager I think her name was Erica or Emily she's not a nice person and really not nice to her employees I confronted her on the cheeseburger I got that was absolutely terrible, it tasted like burnt plastic and fish, she got me a Togo box and comped my meal. I have only visited this bar twice. On the second visit the bartender claimed I was disrupted the first time and I was not allowed again with no explanation unless I proved I was taking a taxi home. Never in my entire life have I ever been disruptive anywhere that I needed to call a cab home in front of them or else they would refuse me service. I am always a responsible adult. I always have a plan in place when I have been drinking. The first time I was there I had a family member of mine pick me up due to drinking too much which I am not ashamed to admit. Just the fact that the bartender was so rude to me saying that unless I proved I called a taxi before I had my first drink or else is beyond me. I was refused to be served any alcoholic beverages. This pushed me to the edge of unfair treatment. Since when did I have to prove my self having a ride home to drink? I am an American adult with rights to having drink and unless you show me good reason as to why I can not drink at your establishment just sounds childish and ridiculous in every sense possible. Your staff and you should be ashamed for treating people in this manner. Never again will I or anyone I know visit your establishment and you all should be ashamed of yourselves for scaring away great customers like me! I have worked in the service industries for many years and never have I treated a customer with such disrespect. You all should be ashamed of yourselves for treating people so unfairly. Never will you see me or my family again in your establishment. read more
