Great food, but Not Sure For a Quick Lunch We were driving down 173 the other day, saw their sign and tried them out for lunch. You enter into a fairly large dining room with many tables. To the left is a large bar. There was one other couple and two groups of 6-8 seniors having lunch. We later saw that the seniors were bridge players and started playing cards after lunch. Only one server/hostess was working and she worked hard. She took our drink order, ice water for me and fresh brewed Iced Tea ($3.00) for my wife. We then took to studying the expansive menu. It is just like the menu at Dockers down in Fox Lake. You name it, they have it. We see our server refilling drinks for the other diners, bringing out some appetizers, etc. and finally taking our food order. We were in no rush and just sat and talked. Then we saw our server bringing meals out to people that were there way before we got there. Not a good sign as there was another large group still to get their meals in front of us. Our drinks got refilled and we sat some more. Our food finally arrived after an easy half hour, maybe longer. She did explain that it was only her and the cook so that's what took so long. The meals were worth the wait. My wife had the Dockers Style Marinated Chicken Plate ($15.99) with fresh fruit. A warm pita was topped with a juicy and tasty Greek seasoned chicken with a side Greek salad and several slices of fresh fruit. I had the Grecian Salad with Chicken ($15.99). Prior to bringing out our meals, our server asked if I like anchovies on my Greek salad - I sure do and she loaded me up. The salad was composed of plenty of the usual Greek salad ingredients and a very tasty dressing. This could easily be shared. Our meals were excellent, fresh and flavorful! A friend and I went for Sunday Brunch. The outside had tables if you want to sit outside. The inside has several tables (no booths which is ok by me) and a small bar. Brunch offered several options: scrambled eggs, hash browns with onions, bacon, sausage, sliced to order beef and ham, chicken, lasagne, chicken, cherry blintzes, apple crepes, pancakes, salad and dessert. Also made to order eggs. I'm probably forgetting something. The food is plentiful. The quality was ok. I sampled a little of everything. Nothing wowed me. The crowd is definitely an older crowd. Spent about $20 per person plus drink. Would I go back? There are so many more breakfast places to try but it was good in a pinch or for a large gathering. AND, the only reason they even got 2 stars was the food was good & the server, Marco, who finally took over our table. The orginal server was rude and obnoxious. She gave a tabe of 10 ONE menu and said, "too bad, nothing I can do about it. If you want more you can walk around & find some." So, I did, talked to other customers who weren't happy either. Then, even tho the reservation was approved for separate checks, when she finally, after 90 min, came to take the orders & said, "No, we don't do that. I can't help what was said at reservation. No, there's an ATM next door." One woman said, "I'll go next door to McDonald's & come back to eat." The server said, "bye." So, I went to the bar, asked for a manager, and the other server tried to tell me they can't do separate checks coz it's a new system & 3 people are using it, which is not the customers problem. The bartender sent someone over & when I explained he asked a young man, Marco, if he could take the table for separate checks. He agreed & there was absolutely no more problems. He stopped by to check in, he took away dirty dishes, he was pleasant and he got HUGE tips from all of us. There's no reason to return. Spent $50 on carry out and the only good item was the cheeseburger. The mozzarella sticks were ok, but everything else was disgraceful. $3.99 cheesecake was a 4x3 square of jello cheesecake bar. Talk about disappointment. Everything about the pizza was off. The crust, the sauce, and the cheese. The burger was good, had that flame grilled taste similar to Burger King... the fries with the burger were a soggy mess. We ordered the three cheese pasta last night and it was amazing. it had a thick cheese sauce with real cheese. It was baked into rotini pasta with a lightly blackened chicken on top. It was outstanding. We ordered it to go out and it came with fresh bread and soup. It was enough to serve two people, and we still have a little leftover. Everything was fresh and ready to go when we got there to pick up and the staff was very nice. Definitely going to do this again. read more

My boyfriend and I went here on a date, and I was pleasantly surprised, the inside is very welcoming, the staff is very friendly and attentive. I got the southwestern salad which has steak on top, I always ask for my steak as rare as possible and they have been the only restaurant to actually achieve RARE... the steak was purple it was soft and delicious!! My boyfriend got the chicken enchiladas and he said they were really good also.. I highly suggest this place to anyone that wants a wide range of food options! We had the buffet. It was very good. The bartender accepted a package from the Amazon deivery driver. My friend asked what was in the package. The bartender opened the package and produced a fancy chalkboard with stand and chalkboard paint pen. As we watched, this fine lady that served us well for 3 hours at the bar filled out the chalkboard in a ridiculously fabulous super high quality way. I'm most impressed. The staff went above and beyond for my boys and I today! We went in on a Sunday morning and they appeared to have a very nice brunch setup. My 2 young boys were talking about pizza all morning (it was almost Noon) and so that is what we were looking for. At first we were told that it's just brunch and then the staff said that they'd make us a pizza. We were so thankful! My boys could play with crayons and draw on the paper tablecloth while we wated and they devoured the pizza once it came. Thank you so much for helping a Mom out! read more

I won't give this restaurant a 1 star review because it wasn't the worst I've ever had, but do not confuse, I will not be back. Party of two seated and upwards of 5+ minutes for one of the managers (seems to be several) took our drink order and then brought it to us while having a conversation on his cell phone. The wait for the food was extreme for food, that while not awful, was clearly cooked from frozen and not fresh. This place is clearly a bar and buddy hangout spot first as made apparent by the managers greeting patrons with hugs at the door, vastly over served bar patrons, and other non staff members walking in and out of the kitchen. This place is a poster child candidate for Chef Ramsay's Kitchen Nightmares. Disjointed, fragmented and clearly in need of a rethink. Granted there are worse places you could go... But not by much. Walking in it is very clean and welcoming. The salad and soup bar is extremely inviting! I noticed a gentleman walking in and out of the kitchen and being extremely active on the floor. Service from the hostess to the server is exceptional. Everyone is smiling and having a great time, very family-oriented and friendly environment. Everyone is laughing and enjoying their time with their friends and family either at the bar or at tables. I have not even gotten to mention the food. It was extremely prompt and served hot. The wings and the burgers including the mozzarella sticks were fantastic. The marinara sauce was served hot which is a plus! I visited this place on a whim with my husband and my one year old and the experience is sure to keep us coming back. The menu looks outstanding and I literally cannot wait to try every single item as everything just smells amazing in this place. Just skip it. Parking was a challenge on the Friday night we visited. My parents wanted to try the fish fry and thought the traffic was indicative of the food quality. Perhaps the traffic was from an adjoining restaurant .... This place has an ambiance that you may have last encountered in your parents basement, or perhaps while visiting your nana at the cafeteria of her senior living facility. When you walk in, you're greeted with a bar to the left, a sad-looking salad bar dead ahead and an open seating area to the right. The service was poor to dismal. We were seated after about five minutes and a waitress took our drink orders shortly. I got a Miller Lite, which is pretty close to water to begin with. And yet, my beer tasted watered down. We then had to wait to place our order for long enough that we considered leaving, but we were famished and needed to eat RIGHT NOW. Perhaps they think that if you're really hungry, you'll overlook the quality of the food. The menu included Mexican food, burgers, pizza, fish, salads and light plates. Based on the vast menu, I immediately lowered my expectations. If there's one thing that I learned from "Kitchen Nightmares," it's that the bigger the menu and the more varied the offerings, the more likely it's all mediocre. And I was right. Too right. My parents ordered the all-you-can-eat fried cod, and I went with the baked cod. We hit the included salad bar, which was bagged salads with canned accouterments and purchased or bottled dressings. The bread was either purchased elsewhere or made from a mix, I couldn't quite tell. When the food finally arrived, it was clearly all from frozen. The cod was most likely thawed and in the case of my parents' food, battered with something from a box and fried. My dad's mixed vegetables obviously came from a microwavable steamer bag that I usually buy frozen at ALDI and my sweet potato fries were not prepared on site, that's for sure. My baked cod was swimming in oil and only the pieces on the right-hand side of the plate were seasoned. The final insult was this food wasn't that cheap: $12 for the fried fish and $14 for the baked. With so many other options in town, we certainly won't be back. I'm all for a dive bar, but I won't repeatedly eat unoriginal, frozen food washed down with impossibly watered-down beer for these prices. read more

The waitress was wonderful, she was attentive and attempted to take care of all of our needs. There were 6 of us in our party. One of our party did not like their burger and stated that it tasted funny. She then felt slightly ill. She is a waitress as well, so we get it, sometime things just happen whether on the restaurant's end or on a product vendor's end. It was brought to the attention of the manager. A word of advice for the manager- if there is a complaint of this nature, it is probably best to apologize and ask if there is anything you can do immediately, not first state that your meat is fresh and then say you can prove it-implying it had nothing to do with her meal. We were simply making you aware not accusing you. In the end it was handled to our satisfaction, but not without the attitude. I seriously hope this was not taken out on our waitress. read more

Its a sports bar feel with home made food. A local Antioch place where the locals gather. The owner Marcos walks around checking on his guests. Our server Mark recommend the steak burrito and it was very good and the home made mashed potatoes were amszing. Great service and prices are fair. Both also tasted like the freezer it was stored in. The chicken didn't really look like chicken the ribs would have been good if you didn't taste the freezer.
