Great food, great prices, nice staff. They have good daily specials that make it affordable to go out for a bar style breakfast, lunch or dinner. Most of the food is homemade and fresh. Great Fish Fry/bake on Friday's! I will start by saying for what you pay the food is absolutely amazing! Service was decent but a bit slow. We arrived just after the morning rush so we found a table right away with a few others still open. We almost immediately ordered our food and it took a good hour to arrive. Surprising since we only had 3 of us and it was just breakfast foods. Overall I would definitely return just making sure I have the time to spend while waiting. read more

I love stumbling into places like this. We were fishing, of all things. It was a busy holiday weekend, not 1 motor boat rental found. We decided to try our luck on the river bank behind the Bridgeport Inn. For a few bucks, they'll let you fish along the span of their property with the benefit of seclusion, no overcrowded fishing. I caught big fish too! We entered, weary and hungry, to a humble yet promising atmosphere, as the subtle scent of a grill and fried food wafted passed us. They have tasty yet affordable bar fare! Check out the menu below. I went with a cheeseburger but I was side-eyeing passing goodies. You can choose from 1/3 or 1/2 lb burger, which hit the spot. Burgers are flame grilled, no doubt. Fries are practically skin on tator chips, and thats a good thing, fresh and hot. My nephew told me the chili was good, as was the ribeye sandwich. I have a feeling one cannot go wrong when eating here. Yes, Bridgeport Inn is small, I don't think they have a/c, its difficult to move orders when busy, seating is limited, but hey, the staff is very friendly, the food is good, the drinks are cold, and the view of a river bend is medicinal in my opinion. If its nice out, take advantage of their outdoor seating, but I wouldn't just pass by without dining here at least once..you'll likely come back again. . read more

I can recommend the Sunday Night special of a Sloppy Joe at the Bridgeport Inn. Weekend specials are pricy at $2.50 but the atmosphere more than compensates for the 1 dollar inflation over the regular weekday specials. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The crowd was gamesome, offering to make room for us at the bar where they were enjoying the closing minutes of a nearly victorious Bears game.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The bartender serving us was outstandingly friendly and guided us through the menu. My dining partner had the cheeseburger and it was... It was so beautiful, juicy-looking with juice just dripping off it. The bun looked like it was sculpted by some renaissance sculptor. The melted American cheese was holding on for dear life while the handsome lettuce and tomato cuddled on the beef like it was a waterbed. I tried to get a bite but my dining partner said it was too delicious to allow me near it. The fries were pleasantly cut into thin long wide slices that took the meal to a whole n'other level. I should have seen it coming because before any of the food arrived bar-b-que sauce showed up flacked by defenders: mustard, ketchup, and ranch dressing, all wearing identical squeeze bottles. All full and ready to squirt, and boy did they! A nod to the beverages: the water was cool and crispy and my bottled beer was fresh and delicious. This place is a little gem. It is a small bar with tables and it has a pool table, gambling machines, and dart board. We stopped for a few beers and food. I ordered the burger with the homemade potato salad. The burger and especially the potato salad was outstanding!!! Best potato salad I have had at a restaurant. All tables were packed so we had to sit outside which was fine it was a nice day out.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] When we sat down we didn't see our waiter so we had to go to the bar to grab the menus and order our drinks. 20 minutes later our waitress comes, we order it was fine. An hour goes by and absolutely nothing, she didn't check in on us or update us about the time our food would be done. We were over waiting so we were about to get up and leave but then she runs out saying our food will be out in 1 minute. There was a huge lack of communication and the manager said he would cover half the bill yet we were given the full bill. Don't come here during busy season. The craziest thing was the waitress thought she did nothing wrong and had no remorse, just worried that half the bill was coming out of her tips. The manager tried to make things better but had the same crappy attitude as the waitress. Foods fine but not worth the wait. read more

Food was delicious and the staff was very accommodating. The 7 of us were first timers here and could not believe the value for the amount of food on our plates. Great dining experience over looking the river. The restaurant was clean and even the bathrooms were clean! Over all great food, prices, staff and atmosphere. Loving this local bar and have been for both breakfast and dinner. Can't beat the prices for great food and excellent friendly service. Highly recommend the corned beef hash and have enjoyed the burger and rib eye sandwich. Love the home made fries and the potato salad is awesome too. IF..I was more P'd off I'd demand a ZERO STAR, but I'm not. If you're in THEIR CLICK, you get treated well. The place is for sale, for almost a decade, THAT speaks volumes. If you ride a bike that's not a HD, you're treated like krap. One day I was there it started to rain so I went out to cover my bike. Returning the door was locked, hummm, I knew the side door was open but found it now closed & locked. Looking in I see the owner laughing at me, no attempt to open said door after "the joke" was over. Hoah-kay...waited for the downpour to let up and went to the main door, it's open.
