This review would be a "zero out of 5" if it was available. I'm a 14 year old girl and went into KB Nails on July 16th 2019 with my cousin. This place is not customer friendly at all. I encourage other kids my age and others to NOT go to this business. Here is what happened. My cousin and I went in for Full Sets With Acrylics. I asked the nail technician multiple times but they said it was cheaper for me without Acrylics. Although it SHOULD HAVE BEEN (read further down) cheaper without them, that is not what I wanted and both of us asked multiple times for her to use Acrylics on me. She didn't put Acrylics on me - she took advantage of me being a kid and selfishly refused my request in order to save herself time. She then put Acrylics on my cousin and billed us the same cost!! My Dad then called Anna the manager. She said that she would redo them. He drove me down to KB Nails a 2nd time. Only to be told by Anna that they would not redo them correctly and would not give me a refund. There are multiple negative reviews on Yelp about this business. There are much better places in this area but do your homework on them before going in. read more

KB Nails is not consistent. I have gone in for several manicures and have left feeling relaxed and happy with the service, on other visits I have left stressed out and with a manicure I could have done better myself. ABSOLUTELY HORRIBLE!!!!!!!!!!! I went in with the best expectations, however, after less than a week (4 days to be exact) my SNS nails chipped off! I called to get a refund, and was absolutely shut down. They claim to not be set up to do refunds (if you take people's money, you do refunds). They also stated to me that they only guarantee for your nails to last 2-3 days!!! SERIOUSLY??????? The girl at the front desk GUARANTEED ME that "SNS" nails would last longer than GEL nails. My first experience at KB Nails was for a pedicure. My friend and I arrived without an appointment, and were promptly shown to our chairs after picking our polish colors. I chose a Deluxe Pedi and my friend went with just the regular. The price wasn't bad for either, but the entire experience was lackluster. The only positive thing I can say about the pedi was the fact they use these sani-liners for the tub basins, supposedly use chemicals and products that aren't toxic/harmful, and the technician didn't slaughter my feet with the nippers or burn me with the water. I decided to try KB a second time because it's near-by and appeared clean. I went in for a refill on my solar nails, and decided to see if they could do a super sparkly white tip. Done. I absolutely HATE how the tech did my nails, who is actually the same one who did my pedicure. She basically drilled down my artificial tips to my actual nail (which need the tip), she drilled into my finger on my pinky AND my thumb, and the edges were rough/ragged, sharp cornered, as well as uneven. They used the UV polish to seal which I do like as it keeps the nails shinier longer, however, upon further inspection of the surfaces they are completely pitted and bubbled, and the edges around my cuticles were not covered by the polish. The day AFTER this catastrophic experience because she took off my artificial tips, and my natural nails are not strong enough for just the solar gel I barely touched my iced tea glass and my right index nail completely CRUMBLED. I've been getting solar nails for almost 8 years, and have NEVER had a nail literally CRUMBLE. After my appointment I went to Ulta to get some Butter London nail polish to attempt to fix this mess of a nail job, and I had some ladies told me to ** AVOID ** KB like the plague!! I paid $35.00 for a refill + $5 tip, and I ALWAYS tip but I wish I could have that $40 back, because I have to go back to my regular nail technician and salon 30 minutes away and have her remove this horrible mess and redo my nails, so I'll be out almost $100! I have had two really great experiences at KB Nails. The most impressive was an appointment with Lynn, the owner, for an eyelash refill. I have been getting eyelash extensions at other salons for about 2 years. I was satisfied with them but they didn't really last very long and they would get really straggly looking toward the 2-3 week mark. I figured that was just the nature of eyelash extensions so I just dealt with it. When I met with Lynn for my appointment, she immediately informed me that she wanted to use thinner lashes for me. She said the ones that were on were just too heavy for my fine lashes! I was impressed that she would make such an immediate assessment. And, I was even more impressed when my eyelashes still look FABULOUS 3 weeks later! Why did the other eyelash techs not know that they needed a thinner lash for me? So, I am a big fan of Lynn at KB Nails! I have also had my nails done. I went in with Acrylic nails and they suggested that I do SNS nails. I am so glad that I did!! SNS is amazing and I am really impressed that KB Nails offers such services. My manicure is 3 weeks old and still looks perfect! My nails have grown out, of course, but the color is perfect! No - they don't all speak perfect English. But, as long as they do a great job and are polite, I am happy! I really don't go there to make best friends with the staff so there's just not that much that we need to talk about! I feel like they can certainly understand what I need to have done. read more

I go out of my way to patronize KB Nails because the solar fill (now the new SNS system) keeps my nails looking great. I constantly get compliments on my nails and inquiries on where I get them done. I love that! Best of all is the pleasing atmosphere, a pretty and clean place with a very friendly group of ladies. Pedicures are given in GREAT massage chairs with a new plastic tub liner used with each customer. The pedicure is always relaxing! read more

The two stars are for the great color selection..the other stars are missing due to my unsatisfactory eyelash tinting. I did not learn until after my tinting that they only do the top lashes. Also, the tint they use is not black, so I can barely notice a difference. I have had this done many times before and have never had either of these issues. I've been to this nail salon maybe three times at the most, and every, single time I have been burned with the drill. My fingers are left burning when I walk out the door. I have never had the same technician either. During the holidays this past year, I got burned so bad, that I yelled out in excruciating pain. and instead of feeling bad about hurting a client, the tech got mad at me, stood up, and started cussing in Vietnamese. She went into a back room, and never came out. Another tech finished my service. Uh, am I missing something? I thought I was the one that got burned? I am the one who should've stood up and cussed in Vietnamese, right? It's too bad, sometimes they do a good job on the overall appearance of your nails, but the service feels like a medieval torture session. The pedicures are not all that great, either. One of the things they skip is painting the tip of your toenail. I hate that! When I get a great pedicure, I am left with flawless color on my toes, including the tips. I feel as if they are in such a rush to get as many clients serviced as possible, because of the money. The more clients they can accommodate, the more money they make. It had been a while since I got my eyebrows threaded, but this experience was far below par. Not only was the threading minimal the girl used a tweezer and dug into my skin real deep leaving me with torn skin lesions on my eyebrows. It is by far the worst eyebrow experience I have had whether it be waxing, threading or tweezing. I have a high pain threshold, but this is painful. I am based in NYC where I can get an amazing quality gel for $28 (damn good price for a city), so coming to KB Nails and paying $36 for a gel that I could have done better myself is disappointing. They rush doing your nails like they don't give two craps about what the outcome is. My mom got an SNS the time before last and it chipped the day after. My gel was also bumpy and had small bubbles from the top coat. A good manicurist would have inspected and fixed it. This place is not good. The customer service was awful! I asked for french manicure SNS nails with tips. Serval of the tips were uneven, the sns powder was lumpy, the white on the tips is also uneven on each nail. I mentioned it to the lady working on my nails and told her i was not going to pay if she didn't fix them. Of course she refused to fix them and I left. They We're awful. I just moved here and this was my second time. Unfortunately I did not catch it until I left. All I had to do was change polish on my toenails. When she had put my flip-flops on she scraped two of the nails and do not tell me. Then when I get home I take a closer look and I have nail polish between my nails all over my toes. She was rude to me from the time I walked in. And the lady taking care of the customer next to me was rude and awful towards her. I would've walked out. They told me it would be $20 but charged me $35 for a fill. The work was shoddy and she didn't even bother to get a clean towel. Partway through she picked the towel up that was covered in someone else's nail trimmings and shook it on the floor. The polish is smeared all over the place, the shapes are terrible.. and I do mean multiple shapes- no two nails are the same shape or length... there are lumps of acrylic under the natural nail. Even though I just wanted a fill, she made me bleed by ripping off a perfectly good set of acrylics and starting over. WORST nail experience EVER!! I am sorry I paid my bill. read more

Lynn, the owner of KB Nails, has been doing my nails now for a couple of years. First and formost I love my SNS nail poish that she uses and get complements on how they look often, my natual nails are long and strong and feel healthier than before. Lynn and her staff are amazing at this point I'm sure each one has given me at least one pedicure. Lynn speaks perfect English and is great with costomer service. I have a standing appointment, but they easily work me in for occational repairs or last minute touch ups. They offer a wide range of services and seem to be very popular (always a full house when I go). I would highly recomend this salon. read more

In addition, I find the staff kind of persnickety and they act as if they are doing you a favor by doing your nails. I only go here when it is matter of convenience/time. I had been to this place once before and liked it a lot, they're very conveniently located in the same shopping center I work in and it's usually extremely difficult for me to find time to get to the nail salon being that I have a family and work 6 days a week many weeks. Today, I got there as soon as I could after being in a meeting all day and sitting in traffic for an hour and a half to get back to my side of town, only to be turned away 20 mins before closing (and it was full of clients that weren't going to be out of there by 7). The business I manage is based off of delivering an exceptional client experience. We accept clients up to 5 mins after our stated closing time on the door. I also know first hand, as a stylist, what it feels like to have clients come in close to closing and was prepared to tip generously for their time, unfortunately, I wasn't given the opportunity. Being turned away 20 mins before closing time blew my mind. I'd reprimand any team member of mine that did such a thing to a client. If their goal is to be out of the shop by 7, then close at 6:30 and quit accepting clients then. I was happy with my initial experience and had referred the mothers of the boys that are my clients to go there, I had even told some of my grown male clients to send their wives there. I had also purchased gift certificates for some of my team members as prizes to get mani/pedis done. I will not do this in the future, nor will I ever visit this establishment again. Their customer service was appalling. I am leaving for a trip out of the country tomorrow and will now have to attempt to do my own pedicure being pregnant.
