I tried the sweet and spicy wings, bulgogi fried rice, ribs, and fries and all were so good! The service and ambiance were good. I definitely recommend and will be back.

9.4./10 Absolutely amazing Korean cuisine! We started with the Galbi, which was cooked perfectly! Tender, flavorful, and with just the right balance of sweet and savory. The Bibimbap was also excellent, loaded with fresh veggies, beef, egg, and sauce. The only minor downside was the egg being slightly undercooked, but the crispy rice at the bottom more than made up for it and added great texture. The Kimchi soup was hands down the best I've had! Perfectly balanced, not overly strong or spicy, and packed with flavor. The addition of pork belly was a huge plus and made it even more satisfying. Service was fast and friendly, and our server was incredibly sweet and attentive. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The ambiance was nice and clean, family-owned, not too busy, and very welcoming.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Overall, a fantastic experience and definitely a spot I'd come back to!

We were supposed to done at ichiban but unfortunately it was closed at the time we went there so we try this place for lunch. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The place though small, have a good size for seating.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]Not a lot of aesthetic decorations but it's clean.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The service was prompt and and our server is polite, just a little rush sometimes. The goods were good and we all liked what we ordered. I'll eat here again in the future.

I almost forgot to take a picture, I'd already eaten a bunch before I took this.

The fried chicken is delicious!!! I always go meaning to try one of their other choices but the chicken is just so good. The food comes out in two waves, first the wings then the drumsticks. Kinda wish they also had thighs but that's fine. Every time I've gone the staff is nice. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The place is pretty small but comfortable.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

I am visiting a friend and decided to grt korean's fry chicken. They are actually really good. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Place is pretty roomy.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Parking is excellent. I do recommend this place.

Service was friendly and knowledgeable. Prices were good and the chicken was hot and fresh. Better to call in your order ahead of time because everything is cooked fresh and you will have to wait if you order at the counter.

Menu pic, guess I deleted the food photo.

Tried this place with the family. It was pretty good. Went for dinner, the waiter was very helpful and friendly. The prices were a little more, but it's close by instead of going to San Jose. [[HIGHLIGHT]]It's pretty small, but come again.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I can see how some reviewers would comment on the unfriendly lady. Saw her in the back and yup, looks unfriendly. lol I'm sure it's a culture thing and they should keep the waiter dude to be their friendly face there. All in all a good experience.

I recommend the $13 lunch specials. I think it's tempura dipping sauce but it was good on everything. Nice lady.

This is a little gem in Prunedale! Chicken is great and the Korean sauces are even better. Bi bim pa hot pot is also very good.

Every time we drive home from Monterey, I always see the big red Yelp sign that reads best BBQ…read more That sign did its' job and it got me intrigued and grabbed my attention. We finally got the chance to check it out. We arrived on a Saturday afternoon for lunch. The Prunedale Market is located along side the highway 101 freeway in the small town of Prunedale. It just takes a few long right turns to get there. Parking is easy and accessible out in the front parking lot. From the front, the market does not look like a popular BBQ spot. It looks like a simple small market store to grab quick snacks and drinks. Once inside there is a BBQ and deli section to your right. A small dining area is to your left. The decor is old fashioned and quaint. The 2 gentlemen greet you with friendly hospitality. We ordered the Tri tip sandwich, half slab of ribs which includes 2 potatoes and a cup of corn chowder. The pit master/owner Martin, who use to work for Original Joe's, was kind enough to also include a quarter chicken leg, a sausage, and extra ribs. It was so much food for our party of 3. Everything was delicious and hearty. The Tri tip sandwich was scrumptious with the flaming Fritos adding a nice crunchy texture and kick with every bite. The ribs were juicy and smokey. Potatoes complemented very well with the rest of the meat and chicken. Corn chowder was so tasty and creamy. I did not know corn chowder was that good. Overall we enjoyed our experience at the Prunedale Market. The staff were super nice and accommodating. They even offered for our son to grab some free ice cream to go. We politely declined. The prices were very reasonable. All that food fed us for the next 2 days. Lol. We hope to be back when we are in the area with other friends and family.

We ordered the rotisserie chicken, fries, grilled artichoke appetizer, and the garlic bread. Everyone at the table liked the artichoke dish (except me but I'm not a huge artichoke fan). I appreciated the garnish on that dish as it was a few salad greens and tomatoes with some balsamic vinegar splashed on it (so I ate a tiny tiny side salad). I actually enjoyed the flavor of the chicken as well. Though my husband did comment it tasted a bit dry, I didn't think it was so bad. I wanted to get another chicken to go for dinner. The fries were well made, and I enjoyed the garlic bread (thinner crusty bread, flavorful without being overly garlicky). The ambiance of the place was ok. We were the only people eating there the entire time (a bit concerning as it was Sunday noon- but the whole surrounding "town" was a little dead). We decided to go here as an incentive for my younger child to eat in a trolley car. So to clarify a part of the restaurant (the front) is shaped like a trolley car and the lighting on the ceiling makes it look a bit like you're in a trolley. Everything else about the place was just a restaurant, which made for a much more comfortable eating environment but not quite what I was thinking (I was thinking like dad's luncheonette in half moon bay). However, I was able to appease my adorable monster toddler overlord by walking him around outside a few times and telling him it was a trolley to appease him. The service was ok, and got better after we paid (likely a nice tip was provided). When we entered there wasn't much help or enthusiasm in our arrival. For example, I was shown where the high chairs were and told to retrieve it myself. Not rude, but just so-so. Place was very clean though and the guy behind the grill was very friendly. Overall this place worked out for us as a no-frills quick stop to fill you up with no wait/no lines for a lunch traveling between Carmel/monterey back to San Jose.

I tried most of the food and I had some mixed feelings: the katsu could not stand alone and needed the sauce, the Mac salad was lacking in flavor--maybe a tad too much on the sweet side. The loco moco was also a bit bland for me. The roasted pork was tender and tasty. My daughter liked the spicy kalbi fries-and my son loved the beef. This is a place mainly for take out. Only 2 small tables inside with a couple of larger tables outdoors. Plenty of parking in a shared lot with other businesses.
