Top Notch Auto is the BEST Mechanic in the Area!…read more I recently had an emergency situation with my car battery dying on Thanksgiving Day, and I couldn't be more grateful to have found Top Notch Auto. After doing some research, I learned that they were the only shop open, and I was lucky to have come across them, even if by accident. The customer service was outstanding from the start. The staff was extremely friendly and understanding, and they didn't try to upsell me on unnecessary services like I've experienced at other places. After getting the battery replaced, they also diagnosed a bad alternator, and the repair was done quickly and affordably. They even fixed a loose gasket on my muffler and replaced my oil pan, which made a huge difference in how my car runs. I've been to Pep Boys in the past, but their prices are sky-high, and I never felt like the service was up to par. Top Notch Auto, on the other hand, was not only way more reasonable in pricing but the quality of work was impeccable. My car now drives like it's brand new--even with 110k miles on it. Mohammed and the team at Top Notch Auto are hands down the best mechanics I've found since moving from Manhattan to Park Slope. I'll be coming back for all my future car needs without a doubt. They really went above and beyond, and I can't recommend them enough!

Average service, nothing special!!!!!…read more I brought my car to Sam's Auto Body Shop recently. The repairs were completed, and my car was returned in decent condition, but the overall experience was just okay. The work was fine, but it didn't feel particularly thorough or impressive. Communication could have been better -- I wasn't updated regularly on the progress, and there were small delays. Pricing seemed fair, but nothing stood out as exceptional. Overall, it's a serviceable option if you need basic auto body work, but I wouldn't consider it my first choice!!!!!!

I contacted several auto repair shops and ultimately chose L&B because Chris was incredibly helpful and knowledgeable from the first phone call. I brought my car in on Friday morning, and within a few hours Chris called with his recommendations and a fair, transparent estimate. By later that afternoon, my car was ready. The service was fast, professional, and reasonably priced. It's refreshing to find an honest auto repair shop you can trust. I'm thrilled to have found L&B and know I'll be a loyal customer going forward. Chris is the best!

They let me borrow a tank of air, under the stern condition that I bring it right back. After filling up my tire, I brought the car to them and returned the air tank. A mechanic jacked up my car and removed the tire, identifying a puncturing screw as the culprit. After yanking out the foreign object he quickly patched the tire, then charged me a very reasonable amount of money for the work. It's hard to imagine a better outcome. I appreciate the empathy they showed for my plight and the trust they extended to me. Way cheaper than buying a new tire, and the speed of service was terrific.

You lifted it back up, but now you need an alignment--on a Friday--and stat. After a zillion phone calls and Yelp quotes that led nowhere, DLJ Enterprises swooped in and saved the day. From the moment I called, the difference was obvious: no endless phone trees or transfers, just a helpful human who got down to business. My husband took the car in, and while there was a short wait (fair enough for a busy Friday), the team jumped in and clearly knew their stuff. They're pros at working on high-end rides and heavily modified cars--our Tesla Model Y is now living proof. The job was done quickly and precisely. Sure, the price tag ($200-$250 for an alignment) was higher than a few other quotes, but the convenience and expertise were totally worth it. Long story short, DLJ Enterprises delivered on a tricky same-day Tesla alignment when no one else would. If you value top-notch service with real people on the line, this is your new go-to spot.
