    HOT COFFEE & COLD SLAW!

Excellent dinner for dinner specials, homemade soups, world's BEST HOLIDAY AND REGULAR-DAY PIES too! Over the years I have come to live for their tuna on sourdough lunches! The staff is all about full service and getting their clients what they ask for, always full cup of great coffee and awesome fresh salads, exceptional breakfast ms as well!

We stopped here for lunch along with another couple. First time here, and we'll be back! The food is home-made... everything was served hot and fresh, and tasted great. The menu is huge, with all kinds of options to choose from; Salads, Soups, Appetizers, Sandwiches, Breakfasts, Lunches, Dinners... and lots of cakes, pies, and other desserts. The place has a "diner" feel to it, and I loved that. Our server was Caitlyn, and she was friendly, prompt, and efficient. Everyone in our party was happy with their meals and we agreed to visit again soon.

Great place...I got an 8oz steakburger that was cooked perfect...The hand cut fries were super - nice and crispy...Lots of pie choices - I got chocolate peanut butter and it was tasty...Workers were friendly and the place was very clean...Would get the burger again though I'd like to try some of the other things as well...Looks like a lot of good comfort food.

The staff was decent but the food was 'meh'. I had the cheesesteak and my mother had the Rueben. The Rueben was a 6/10 and the cheesesteak was a 4/10. They also had soup which came with the meal. I had cheese broccoli and my mother had some sort of meatball soup. Both were pretty good but the portion size was small. I ordered a slice of peanut butter pie; it was of decent size and tasted good but I was shocked they charge $5.99 for a piece of pie that consists of crust and pudding filling. Goodness knows what they charge for an entire pie! I don't know if I would ever go back. I should have ordered a burger or perhaps some fish.

So once again we were headed home from a softball tournament and were looking for dinner. Randomly and out of the blue my husband tells me he's already to stop. Being the Yelp elite person and riding shotgun, I was in the position to determine which restaurants we were coming up to. Grabbing my Yelp app on my smartphone and checking out location to see what restaurants lay ahead of us, I looked for something right off the freeway that had a menu posted which offered salads for me and anything my husband would eat. Ding ding ding ding. Winner winner chicken dinner! We were coming up on Kay's. It is right off the freeway. The menu is readily available online. It had good reviews. And it had diner style food with several salads for me to choose from. Within 5 minutes we were pulling off the highway and quickly making our way into Kay's parking lot. The location is convenient and the restaurant is quite plain. It is not at all fancy but coming home from a long softball tournament - we were not looking for fancy. We also were not dressed very well. We were quickly seated at a booth which I will describe as vinyl and plain. No complaints - it fit our needs. Once again it was nice to be coming out of a pandemic and have hard copy menus and condiments on the table. My husband quickly found what he wanted to eat and I was happy that there were actually several salads that would have made me happy. I also appreciated the fact that my diet cola came in a large tumbler with limited ice. My husband asked the waitress for help in picking between 2 items he was considering. He ended up ordering the grinder which also came with a side. He picked the dinner salad. I picked the steak salad having eaten chicken salads many nights in a row. Our drinks and the dinner salad were quickly brought to the table. My husband's salad was a generous portion with iceberg lettuce and various fresh vegetables on top. It was a hint of what was to come as everything was home made and made fresh to order. Shortly after my husband finished his salad, our entrees came out. My husband dug into his sandwich and was very pleased with both the quality and quantity of food. That was definitely his type of the sandwich! My steak salad was a good size and definitely filled me up. It was only iceberg lettuce, but it was fresh and plentiful and I find that preferable to wilted and sparsely given mixed greens. The steak was not the highest quality but it was made to order at medium rare. The portion was also nice and generous. Needless to say I ate every bite and also appreciated the fact that they had the cruets of oil and vinegar available. Soon enough we were on our way. We looked forward to getting back on the road and completing our trip. Kay was nice enough to ring us up at the hostess counter so we did not need to wait for our waitress to finish up at another table. I definitely would recommend eating here and would return again should the opportunity arise.

Almost missed it, nice family restaurant just off the 90. Inside was clean and comfortable with a warm atmosphere. Our waitress was helpful and patient. The menu was extensive so it took a moment to decide. We decided on breakfast, I had the Homemade Corned beef hash (I took a chance) with eggs, rye toast and a side of home fries. The hash was delicious flavorful and well prepared. Eggs were fresh & the rye was nice and thick. My Home fries were good but I would prefer a little more well on the cook. My wife had the blueberry pancakes and she said they did not disappoint. They were fluffy and filled with blueberries. Coffee was not bad. Overall we enjoyed our breakfast and give this a solid 3.5 's. Give Kay's Place a try. We are looking forward to lunch/dinner for our next visit.i

A lot of people in the party had to use their flashlights on their phones to even see. (It made a lot of us think the lights are dark to not show the food, or so people can get away with doing illegal activities.) Second; the food was subpar, claimed things were fresh when they clearly were not. Soda either didn't have enough flavor, or the machine was broken; everyone was saying how the soda tasted 'soapy'. Also being charged $12+ for small portions, barely any toppings/fillings, or for food that seemed undercooked/burnt. Someone in the party even had a hair in their food! The next couple days, almost everyone in the party started getting sick; not trying to full on blame this place, but it was the common denominator everyone went to. So, if you enjoy not seeing at all and like eating subpar bar food that can potentially get you sick, this is the place for you!

As a California gal in Conneaut visiting family, I was in serious espresso withdrawal. Sadly (or…read moreso I thought at the time) the closest Starbucks was in Erie. My cousin told me about All Things Coffee House so I thought I'd give it a shot. This unique, niche coffee house is located in a non descript area and if you don't know what you are looking for you might miss it. A historic home turned into a coffee shop - What a great idea! The atmosphere is cozy, welcoming, and relaxing. There are several rooms and small parlors for reading, playing checkers, gathering with friends and/or a spot to just have some personal quiet time. The owner, Christina, is one amazing human being. I explained to her my "story" and she told me the history of the coffee house and welcomed me right in. Kind, funny, and such a joy to see every morning. We discussed what I would typically drink and she whipped up THE MOST AMAZING espresso beverage I have ever had. The espresso was rich and mild and not acidic. Come to find out she roasts all of her own beans! I truly believe that is what makes the difference in the quality of what she serves. Love and compassion are poured into each cup of everything prepared there and you can feel it in the atmosphere and taste it in the product. After my first visit there I returned daily. Not just for the bomb beverages, but for the conversation as well. I feel like I can say I officially have a friend in North Kingsville. If espresso is your thing, she has many options of different drink offerings and will also help you customize your own. If you are more of a regular cup 'o joe type person she has a Buckeye blend that is fantastic. She also offers teas, and other cold drink items, sandwiches, muffins, bagels. I am ordering from her and having my coffee shipped to Cali. Starbucks has NOTHING on All Things Coffee House. If you have not tried this coffee house you are most certainly missing out and I would implore you to get there sooner rather than later. Thank you Christina for being so kind, caring, compassionate, and helpful. Thank you for the week of fellowship, recommendations and helping a gal from Cali feel like she was welcomed home.
