Terrible service at the Bob Evans in Ashtabula ohio. Took over 1 and 1/2 hours to get service. No drink refills. Orders screwed up. Did not try to get the order corrected. We could not wait that long. We live in Youngstown and go to the Bob Evans in Boardman. We have never had these type of problems. even when they are short handed. We went to Bob Evans in Ashtabula tonight and will never eat at this location again. We both upgraded our orders to a three course dinner. The soup was luke warm, the turkey was dry and burnt looking on the edges, and they were very stingy with the gravy. They had no banana bread. When we got the bill my son's meal was priced right but my turkey dinner 3 course was overpriced by $1.20. I had my son get a menu and I used my calculator to show the waitress the price difference. First I was told it was the tax on the meal but the bill has a separate line showing the tax. It took 15 minutes and 3 employees to come back and tell us that the menu showed an incorrect price and that the computer-generated price was correct. The manager in charge did begrudgingly give me a "discount" of $2.00 because of the price discrepancy but I felt that they thought I was trying to rip them off. After waiting for 15 minutes for a corrected check we were told to just go up to the cashier and tell them our table number and they will ring the bill up correctly. We never received an itemized corrected bill. Beware if you do eat there, triple check your final bill! EDIT TO ADD: Bob Evans Corporate responded to an email complaint I filed regarding this visit. It was a form letter type of email thanking me for my concern. I received a $10 gift card 2 weeks later, enough to purchase 2 drinks. I will not be using the gift card at this location. read more

Called in and order to go. Was given a pickup time that was approximately 30 minutes after I ordered. Went in a couple of minutes early, food wasn't ready - no big deal. Different employees kept coming from the kitchen asking the other people and me what orders we are waiting for. Finally, 25 minutes after the pick up time was scheduled for, I got my food. Rushed right home with it, minutes from the restaurant, expecting nice fresh food. What I got was anything but fresh! I have enclosed a couple of photos of the worst foods. They were also hotcakes which were very dense, the country fried steak was crispy and dry on the edges. After waiting so long to get the food, I would have thought it should have been fresh, but it was pretty apparent that this food had been sitting for quite a while - so why the wait??!!? This has to be the worst Bob Evans ever! Went there for breakfast...floor was filthy. Stuck my husband and I in between 2 tables very uncomfortable. Ordered our food...waited over 40 minutes still no food...then the people who just came in got their food. What a joke. I ordered the easter celabration meal, along with a few more items for easter. I went in at 10:30 am saturday morning to place my take out order. I was told it would be ready in 20 minutes. I waited till after 11:30 am to get my take out order. When I got home, I noticed I had not received my biscuits,corn,cranberry sauce. Well, this was just bad, the ham was so salty I threw it out. The turkey was dryer than dry. I mean that meal alone was $69.00 by itself. After buying other things my totol was $99.39. I was trying to get a good meal so we did not have to cook. I will never return to any bob evans ever again. If they have changed to being a catering restaurant, rather than a restaurant that cares about what they serve, I will eat somewhere else. I had I known my meal was going to the trash, I would have saved my money and cooked myself. There was so many people waiting an hour to be seated which I thought was funny because there was 3 empty tables empty within a few feet of the checkout counter. The only reason I'm giving this restaurant 2 stars instead of one is because when it does deliver food, it's pretty good. I ordered the farmers breakfast and it was really tasty. The worst thing about this restaurant is how slow the service is. When my relatives and their friends got in it took a while for even the table we were going to sit in to even be cleaned. It took forever for our food to come and the worst thing about is was that we had a Christmas concert to go to. Waiting for the food took so long that two of my grandparents friends had to leave to save us seats. Unless this restaurant speeds up it's service or you like spending about half an hour or more waiting for food and spend it talking with friends and relatives, I'm not exactly sure this bob Evans (because I'm sure other bob Evans aren't as slow as this one) is worth your time. read more

Our waitress was very kind and attentive, right as our drinks were empty she brought refills right away. Gave great input about the menu ideas and what she recommended. The food came out fast and hot. Everything tasted good, filled us up. Once we got up to the register I picked up a cookie for dessert, it was soft and delicious. In the 50 minutes we were in this horrible place my family of 6 got our drinks, banana bread and ended up sending 3 drinks back due to the carbonation or whatever needing changed. I went to talk to the Manager due to not getting our drinks back, it had been 20 minutes. She flys out of the kitchen sweating and instead of introducing herself or at least saying hi, she says "You're table 11? Your order had been in for 15 min (We ordered 30 min prior) Your food is cooking" I told her I needed the drinks that were sent back and it had been 10 min since they were supposed to bring them. She then said in the nastiest tone "Well, were short staffed and only one cook so if I was in the kitchen cooking and not talking to you, you'd have your food!" I was so upset. I told my Husband and he told me to calm down I was just hungry. So I did. Then I told him I was so embarrassed because she walked back into the Kitchen literally yelling "Table 11 is complaining about some drinks. Can someone go see what she wants" and the whole flipping restaurant looked at me. We decided to leave. As we were leaving a lady, I'm assuming a Manager of some sort, Bobbie, had tried to convince us to stay. (Other people had left and complained too) but we respectfully declined. She looked so upset cause people kept complaining and leaving. I felt bad cause she was so nice about it. She gave us our drinks and banana bread free. So in short it took our snotty waitress 15 minutes to even put our damn order in to begin with. Then didn't come back with the 3 drinks!! We ended up going to another place to eat. This place is so understaffed all the time. It's not just a one time thing. I know someone who worked there and that was her number one complaint. The only problem I had was that they forgot the banana bread I had ordered so I went back to pick it up. When I got there they already had it ready for me. My family goes to Bob evans alot. I've never had a bad experience until a couple days ago. My husband and I and my 2 yr old went. Our salads come out and so does my son's chicken fingers and fries. I went to cut the chicken up for him and it was not just a little raw but completely raw inside. Very disgusting!! read more

I love Bob Evans, but this one has gone way down hill. The last two times we've been there the food has taken forever! We had three salads and a half sandwich. I just had by far the worst meal I have ever had from a Bob Evans restaurant. I ordered takeout from the stor in Ashtabula Ohio and my order was wrong and all of the food was cold. It was ridiculous. They said it would be ready in about 30 minutes. I got there about 5 minutes early. The girl said it was ready and I said that's fine. I paid and proceeded to wait. 3 people that came in after me had their orders assembled and left. About 20 minutes after I got there the girl so oh we have to get Mikes. Then I watch her gather food that had been sitting on the counter since walked in 20 minutes prior and put it in a bag and give me my order. When I get home the first thing I noticed is that the mac and cheese is cold to the touch, like fresh out of the fridge cold then I open the box with the fried chicken and it is incorrect. I ordered 8 piece white meal and got mixed. The home fries were hot but they had been deep fried and not cooked like usual. My wife's entire breakfast was cold as well. It was terrible! read more

I've ordered breakfast take-out from Bob Evans occasionally, with good results. Last night, I thought I would try Bob Evan's sirloin dinner for take-out. It's a good thing I love roast beef, because that's what it was: tender and juicy and easy to shred, but definitely NOT steak. I also ordered a chicken pecan salad. It was supposed to come with nice chunks of grilled chicken. Instead I had maybe two hard, crunchy, very browned and seasoned chicken skin (?) with no dressing in sight! I have traveled all over the United States and have personally went to many different schools. I have seen many, many different areas and I have also been employed by school districts. I know how school systems should be run, AACS is not it. My children have had the unfortunate luck to be stuck in this school system the majority of their schooling career. During this time some most grievous things have happened to my children at the hands of the school district. Be warned that when you send your children to this school, there is very rarely any action taken against teachers, aides, and school bus drivers who behave wrongly. For example, my child fell down and broke his finger during recess one year. No one contacted me and my 1st grader had to sit through the school day with a broken digit because apparent swelling and bruising was not indication enough to contact a parent. I took him to the ER immediately upon pick up and x-ray confirmed it broken. No one got in trouble for this. This is just ONE example. There are many others. This will be the last year my children are enrolled in this school system. If we cannot relocate, then children will be home schooled. Be forewarned about this school. There is no penalty for most screw ups on faculty's part. read more
