tables and chairs in a restaurant

Stopped here on the way to a Niagara Falls. We were looking for the normal diner food since it pleases everyone. It's eclectic with some fun signs to look at inside. The set up was a little confusing and we were unsure if we should seat ourselves but we found a table on our own. The menu was the normal diner food. My daughter got chicken fingers, French fries and applesauce from the kids' menu. She liked it but it's kinda hard to go wrong with that. My son got 2 eggs, bacon and toast with a side pancake. The pancake was thick and good. My hubby got a breakfast wrap, which was pretty good. I got a veggie omelet (not on menu so made my own) with a biscuit. The biscuit was solid. My hubby and I got a side of fruit. It was the canned fruit cocktail with mystery fruit. Since it is summer, it would be nice to have fresh fruit. For 4 of us to eat, it was $30. That's pretty reasonable for the amount of food we got. I'd recommend checking out this place if you are looking at something quick and good.

    The loaded breakfast burrito!! Amazing!!

Great service! Sweet little restaurant with good comfort food. Onion rings were awesome! freshly made with only a little batter.

Best tasting coffee I've ever had, and they make one of the best omlets ever. I go there 4 or 5 times a week.

Can you say "perfect eggs"? Holy smoke... I've had perfect eggs. I don't know what kind of sorcery…read morethis is- but I am in shock, and heaven. I do eggs over easy- and when you do this- you may get runny, or overcooked or a myriad of different hmmmmm moments. I ordered a basic breakfast, just eggs, bacon and toast. I had 4 pieces of scrumptious bacon, and the sweet server brought me a little side of sausage gravy- also to die for! Reasonably priced and there are many regulars here since many people were greeted as old friends. The building is off a main drag in Ashtabula, so hidden- and clearly--- these folks are here for food and family! I'm just here to find a perfect breakfast spot- and boy oh boy, did I ever! The only thing I'm missing is a small cot or couch to sleep in after having that awesome gravy- I'm sort of in a gravy coma right now- lol! If you're a little breakfast foodie you're in for a HUGE treat! The atmosphere is bustling and friendly, but not over the top trendy, like having a picnic with friends. You're here for this absolutely over the top food!!! I just hope the regulars don't run me out of here because I mentioned their little hidden Ashtabula gem... A must not miss. 10 stars for nothing less than EPIC food and stellar, quick, friendly service! Good news I won't forget the name!!

I loved my country shows Sweet Magnolias and Virgin River. This place is exactly it. Not just this place - this town! Straight out of the movies. Everyone is friendly knows each other and good ol homemade country cookin. Now back to Aunt Judy's. Their steak and eggs were ammmazing recommended by his niece. The gravy was the biscuits were to die for- literally- cz I had a second order and gulped it. The grits was just like I imagined creamy w butter cheese and salt. Oh my. My husband had the western- it was huge and tasty! I even ate the homefries which I normally don't! A++ everything tastes homey like comfort food. The owner Crystal knew my husband and every other person who walked in there. Everyone got a hug and a hello from here and everyone else. Thats how you know they love this place! She was soo sweet and bubbly- pretty and done up- like Mini Dolly Parton. I want to come back before we head back!! Matter of fact I will come back here every time we come back! Thank you Crystal that was verrry good cookin' and hospitality!!

In all honesty, I wasnt sure what a "Bum Boat", refered to and we both were plesently suprised on the friendly people, cheap drink prices and relaxing ambiance on the Astubula harbor.

A CLASSIC I first…read moremet the bum boat alongside the CSL boats over at conrail, before they shut the dock. Would be tied up alongside but I didn't know what it was. Well one time the late great Maritime Mel said to my brother come on tommy let's get a drink, and walks onboard. MEL! U can't just go on somebody's boat.... ITS A BAR. Christmas lights were up. The Capt was onboard from the laker. This changes everything, a floating bar for the lakers!!!! This was back in the day early 90's. Well. It was on. Sonny II aka the bum boat, used yo shuttle supplies to the lakers all along the harbor. And was a bar for the mens & ladies while alongside. A great seafaring tradition. Sonny B the sister ship is the water taxi up at PIB. Well for many years now at Ashtabula harbor the bum boat is tied up & open to the public fully licensed sit down bar. The owners are really nice. Live music, have a drink. Fairly large menu board too. I didn't know they had food tbh. It was great chili dog. As good & very similar to skyline. If u love shipping, history, music & dranks, and who doesn't in Ashtabula harbor, get ur arse down to the bum boat & have a blast. It's so unique u will never drink in another place like it. circa 1930. BEAUTIFUL NEW SIGN check it out. 5 star dive bar!!
