We had a reservation, which I'd definitely recommend because it gets busy especially on a Friday and parking is limited. Once we were seated, the server gave us a nice rundown of the menu. We started with the hand rolls, the Masu Tartare and Toro Tartare and both were delicious. I personally loved the Masu more, but you really can't go wrong with either. We also ordered calamari, which arrived a bit later. It was okay, nothing spectacular, not as crispy as I hoped but the rest of the meal more than made up for it. For sushi, I had the Spicy Atlantic Salmon and the Kani Koi. I absolutely loved the Spicy Atlantic Salmon...it was definitely a favorite but my fiancé preferred the Kanikoi, so everyone wins. We also tried the Kamasu - Barracuda, which was just as delicious. Overall, everything was perfect, and I can't wait to come back to try more hand rolls and a few other dishes.

The citrus of the ponzu balanced the jalapeño perfectly. I'd definitely order that roll again next time. The poke bowls are a good size but definitely on the pricey side for sushi. Overall the service was excellent. There was a mixup with our food where we got salmon instead of Tuna for our poke bowl. They quickly amended the mistake and brought us a new bowl. The atmosphere is modern and upscale making it a perfect choice for a date night. They do have some kid friendly options on the menu and a few kids were dining there on Friday night.

The music selection and volume were equally well done, balanced in a way that felt welcoming to every generation. At one point, I almost felt like I had stepped into the bar scene from *The Shining*, not in a creepy sense, but in that nostalgic, timeless atmosphere kind of way. The Old Fashioned was prepared exactly right, especially with my request for lighter bitters since I do not enjoy it overly sweet. Many places miss that balance, but they nailed it here. The charcuterie board was easily one of the best I have had. The mozzarella and white cheddar were perfectly portioned, fresh, and rich. The green apple slices tasted incredibly fresh, like they had just been picked from the orchards of Apple Hill in California. The honeycomb was a first for me on a board and made the experience especially memorable. The artwork throughout the space also adds a unique character that I always appreciate in a restaurant. The prosciutto was a little tough but still had good flavor, while the Calabrese was spot on. Service was professional and attentive, with frequent check-ins throughout the evening. My only recommendation would be for servers to introduce themselves, as that small touch makes the experience feel more personal and welcoming rather than simply transactional.

Louder than usual because the Worldcup game was on, England V Croatia . Had two groups of fans from each team, loud at the good stuff, everyone polite and jovial. Really added to the fun atmosphere. A bazillion TVs so everyone has a good view. The waitress was also the barkeep, she did a great job. Tipped appropriately well. Food! The point Yes, awesome yumminess. I got a new try, Brisket Grilled cheese with lightly fried onions and a sweet BBQ sauce, American cheese, on a Hawaiian bread. A great combo that was flavorful. My wife enjoyed the lunch size fish in chips; good cod fish. Generous fries with both. We had unsweetened tea, perfect.

Here's my thing...kids seam to be running these types of places. We enjoyed playing pool, darts and having a few drinks. Not the best food experience but the bar itself was nice.

Heaters inside & campfires outside for extra warmth are a plus too. Would love to come back for the night vibes! Cocktails & shots on the menu! The explanation given that the system "couldn't handle the wind" is deeply concerning. If awnings advertised and installed for cold weather cannot be safely used in windy conditions, that is a serious operational and safety issue that should be addressed before guests are seated underneath them. Instead, customers were left exposed, freezing, and ignored. What made this worse was not the weather, but the complete lack of accountability or alternative solutions. No effort to relocate guests, no escalation to management, just repeated refusal. This reflects poor planning and even worse customer care. Management should take this seriously. I would expect someone to reach out, because this experience alone is enough to keep us and others from returning.

The vegetables were treated with as much care as the protein, and that's impressive. Atmosphere is nice and open with plenty of bar seats as well as communal high tops and standalone tables. Nice outdoor patio when Texas weather permits! Tried a couple of their beers: Miso Smooth (Japanese rice lager - 5.5% ABV) and Soul Fire Ultra Light (American Light Lager - 3.7 ABV / 15 IBU). Both decent enough for what they were, the latter being helped by the fact it was only $3 a pint. For food, tried the newly opened Zaep Zaep Thai joint. Had the Thai Basil Combo Fried Rice and an order of Spring Rolls. Seriously good stuff! Unexpected quality for a food court! The chef (owner?) also came into the bar to check to see if our food was to our liking. Definitely a nice touch and I wish him much success. Olivia's Scratch Kitchen serving African cuisine was the only other option open. Was a tough decision and hopefully will be back soon to try their offerings! There was also a cupcake place (Kid Kakes) that seems to get great reviews, but with Oak St Pie Company just a few doors down... well... sorry Kid Kakes! At only 20 years old, the bartender did a great job serving us and was more genuinely personable than many who have done the similar job for years. All-in-all a great impulse decision after The Original Roy Hutchins BBQ line ended up being far too long to wait in!
