I had a very uncomfortable experience during my visit. The staff member I interacted with was rude and unwelcoming, which made the situation unpleasant from the start. Additionally, when it came time to pay, I did not see any signage indicating that the business was cash-only. Because of that, I offered to pay through Zelle. I was asked to send the payment twice because I was told the payment had not been received. However, I showed proof that the payment had been sent and even handed over my phone so they could verify the transaction themselves. Overall, the lack of clear communication and the way the situation was handled left me feeling frustrated and dissatisfied with my experience. read more

I use to live down the street from Kaya Threading and they were my go to. I moved far ways 3 years ago and hadn't been since. I liked no place I live by now. I've been coming to Kaya Threading for years now, and I can genuinely say that Nitu, the owner, is truly one of a kind. She has taken care of me and my family for over five years, and every visit feels personal. Nitu takes the time to get to know her clients -- not just as customers, but as people. That's always meant a lot to me, and I know I'm not alone in that feeling. In light of the recent review posted, I just wanted to offer a little context, as I happened to be there during that same visit. While it's never my intention to discredit someone else's feelings, I do think there may have been some misunderstanding. At that moment, Nitu was wrapping up with me and kindly chatting as she waited for a Zelle payment to finish processing. During that time, she did ask the next guest to have a seat, and I clearly saw her do so. From my perspective, it wasn't a matter of being dismissive -- it was just a moment of transition between clients. I understand how things may have felt different from another point of view, and I'm sorry to hear that someone felt overlooked. But in my experience, Nitu is incredibly attentive and warm, and she works hard to make everyone feel comfortable. Kaya Threading is a very popular place -- it's not unusual to wait a few minutes -- but the reason it's busy is because so many of us trust and love the work they do. I just wanted to speak from my heart and share what I saw. Nitu and her team are wonderful, and I'll continue coming back with gratitude for the care they always show. read more

Chair number 3 does not know what she is doing, she messed up my eyebrows unlike the others girls ive been with.

There's like 4 ladies chilling in their phone and one customer was already leaving, talking to the one eyebrow lady that helped her and they kept me waiting and not a single one that's not in that conversation could help me? I've been waiting and by the time I was clearly upset got up to get my things they all get up and now wanna help in a hurry like that's so rude I didn't want to interrupt their conversation but not a single one get up until I did? Please do better in your customer service the reviews are outstanding, it's always something here and the rudeness I've tolerated too much and too long read more

The staff was not welcoming at all tried to give this place a chance because the place I go to was very busy. I go in an the ladies are not welcoming at all. The lady did my eyebrows in one minute! She was even cutting my eyebrows with scissors with out even looking at me. Oh and cash only. Never giving them business again read more

I requested brow threading. It was my first time having my brows threaded, and I was impressed. I don't know the name of the lady that threatened my brows, but she was very nice. It was quiet in there, other than the TV they had on. I felt comfortable and the only thing I would suggest is an upgrade on their chairs because they are a little bit old... actually quite old. They have holes in them but that's not going to stop me from going back! read more

Service : They make you sign whole nine yards all good until you tell them one of your eyebrows looks different then they proceed to talk to each other as if you weren't there laughing. Vibe: there's no vibe in here plus it smells like piss which should have been the "get out" sign read more

Kaya Beauty & Threading Studio - Crooked eyebrows - Skin Care Near Me - Pico Rivera, California

This is the 2nd time my eyebrows come out wrong. I asked for a clean up and to not thin them out. I feel her slip when threading my left eyebrow and can feel her threading higher and higher. I take a look once she is done and it looks ok at the time plus she had another person waiting so I pay and leave. I call back the next day to complain and it just rings and rings. Finally someone answered and there was nothing they can do. My eyebrows are ruined and now I have to draw them in if I don't want anyone realizing. Do not go here if you don't want your brows messed up. Also she was talking on the phone to someone while doing my brows. My eyebrows do not look like sisters or cousins they look like aunt and uncle. Lmao read more

I love the place, they did an excellent job on my eyebrows. Just had eyelids surgery, she did amazing job and very gentle.

DO NOT COME HERE!!!! They are very rude and arrogant BUT most importantly.... They aren't good at their job! They took 5 minutes!!! 5!!! (If not less) To do both eyebrows and upper lip!!! Ridiculous!!! Their service sucks and eyebrow threading is mediocre.!! read more

First time coming and I believe all Eyebrow threading place are the same. I would like for them to disinfect the chairs after each client but it wasn't done. Other than that, good job with eyebrows and I did see them sanitize their hands after each client though, which is good. Prices are decent and went on a Monday evening so there was no wait. read more

* Cash Only * I took a couple of friends with me to get our eyebrows done. We walked in and there was only 1 woman threading and 1 customer already sitting in the chair. We sat down and didn't realize we had to sign in. The woman threading saw us but didn't acknowledge us. Then 2 other women walked in and signed in. By the time we were aware that they were going by a list, a woman getting her whole face threaded had already sat down. I had my eyebrows threaded by a different woman that usually does them. She was quick but painful and kept shoving her knuckle into my eye. By the time she was done, my eyebrows were pretty red. When I've had them done by the younger and very thin woman in the past, this usually is not the case. I thought maybe it was just this particular woman with a rough hand but another woman came out to thread my friend and my friend reported that her eyebrow threading was also more painful than usual. I'll definitely give this place another shot in hopes that yesterdays experience was just a fluke. read more

Came here for the first time. Prices are great. But that might be the last time I visit here. The staff is not friendly at all. I was not greeted when I first walked in, instead I initiated the first hello to the only woman who seemed to work here. I had mentioned to the lady doing my eyebrows this was the first time I got them threaded. To break the ice I nervously asked if she had any advice for a first timer. And she did not look like she was in any mood to talk to me. read more

SCAM, SCAM, SCAM! they lure you in with a fake $4.99 sign and you go inside and its $6.99, I walked in and the two women there were not wearing masks and had bad attitudes. They are baiting and switching and do horrible jobs. When I complained that the sign said $4.99 she became hostile and aggressive that the sign is old and I should've seen the new signs inside and I should call the owner to complain if I like. TERRIBLE 0/10 save your money read more

So I really hate to do this because I absolutely love this place except for one specific lady. She is at station one not very friendly either. The first time I went to her she made one of my eyebrows significantly thinner than the other one. This recent time I went I was in a lot of pain and thought it was weird. When she was done she didn't even hand me a mirror she just clean me with which hazel and when she did it burned really bad which I thought was weird. When I went home I rubbed my eye and it was so painful to even touch my eyebrows I looked closely in the mirror and I had tiny cuts. Very disappointed with the lady who works at station 1 because she's been there the longest. read more

I was there yesterday 2/22/2021 There was only lady at the time. She didn't clean my eyebrows completely and rushed the whole time. She was done in way less than 5 minutes. This was my first time here and never has anyone at other places finished so quick, I was appalled. There was no effort from her part and no friendliness. I don't recommend at all. read more

You can't beat $5 threading, but quality control just isn't there. PARKING: Shared lot SERVICE: It's a hit or miss depending on who you have. Don't be afraid to be specific with them on how you like your eyebrows, or else they'll just start cleaning them up. I came in with my brows in a mess as I was growing them out, and I left with decently groomed brows that were a bit too thick for my liking. For some reason, I always end up breaking out afterwards, but I think it's my sensitive skin. They do wipe your brows with a witch hazel soaked cotton pad after they're done. CASH ONLY read more

8 bucks for eyebrows and upper lip, such a good deal. I usually pay much more. And I did not get any cuts after, the girl did a great job... I'm very skeptical about who does my brows, as I'm sure many people are. I had her just do a clean up around my eyebrows, no shaping, since it was my first time here. I would definitely return. read more

*THIS REVIEW IS SOLELY BASED ON THEIR COVID PROCEDURES* My sister and I came here on a Sunday afternoon. We walked to the check in board and I noticed everyone uses the same pen to check in. They do not have a can of clean pens nor dirty pens. First red flag. Second I noticed people were waiting inside the store instead of outside the store. They did make it where you can sit ever other chair but I don't believe that's 6 feet apart. Third and I think this is the worse one, they do not sanitize their chairs after every use. They just have the you sit on their chairs they use on their previous client. Also I don't think the lady sanitizes her hands after every client either mind you she touches your face. After my sister and I were done we were freaking out because they have no COVID procedures here. My sister even mention how she thinks the lady uses the same thread from the previous client. Please do not go here simply for the fact they do not sanitize as often as they should. Save yourself the trouble. read more

3.5-- starts. The ladies do a good job with my brows, and a fast service. The only reason for my rating is due to the fact that neither of the ladies wear a face mask. With the whole pandemic, it's not comfortable to have someone close to your face w/o their mask. (Just my opinion). read more

I've been accustomed on driving to Artesia, aka Little India for nearly 10 years for my eyebrow threading, this is the one thing I do for me every month, well that and the fact if I did my own eyebrows, I'd be begging to get them tattooed. So after shopping at the nearby Target, I saw it, EYEBROW THREADING, wait, I'm in Pico Rivera?! and even best, a neon sign saying $4.99!!! Whoa! I've grown up in the area from a little kid and my parents still live in the same house my grandparents bought in the 50's. I Soooooo had to check this place out! Service is awesome, wait is never too long, and the owner is always wanting to strike up a conversation, and they do an AWESOME job in getting all the hairs and doing a great shape! Price is 4.99!!! They now take credit card! I've been here on quite a few occassions and no complaints. They even give you tips to have the perfect eyebrow shaping for next time! So coming here if I find myself needing eyebrow threading and when I'm back in the neighborhood. read more

Very convenient location with lots of parking next to Target. The lady that did my eyebrow threading was really good and took her time. Really great deal.
