I've been coming to Kaya Threading for years now, and I can genuinely say that Nitu, the owner, is truly one of a kind. She has taken care of me and my family for over five years, and every visit feels personal. Nitu takes the time to get to know her clients -- not just as customers, but as people. That's always meant a lot to me, and I know I'm not alone in that feeling. In light of the recent review posted, I just wanted to offer a little context, as I happened to be there during that same visit. While it's never my intention to discredit someone else's feelings, I do think there may have been some misunderstanding. At that moment, Nitu was wrapping up with me and kindly chatting as she waited for a Zelle payment to finish processing. During that time, she did ask the next guest to have a seat, and I clearly saw her do so. From my perspective, it wasn't a matter of being dismissive -- it was just a moment of transition between clients. I understand how things may have felt different from another point of view, and I'm sorry to hear that someone felt overlooked. But in my experience, Nitu is incredibly attentive and warm, and she works hard to make everyone feel comfortable. I requested brow threading. It was my first time having my brows threaded, and I was impressed. I don't know the name of the lady that threatened my brows, but she was very nice. It was quiet in there, other than the TV they had on. I felt comfortable and the only thing I would suggest is an upgrade on their chairs because they are a little bit old... actually quite old. This is the 2nd time my eyebrows come out wrong. I asked for a clean up and to not thin them out. I feel her slip when threading my left eyebrow and can feel her threading higher and higher. I take a look once she is done and it looks ok at the time plus she had another person waiting so I pay and leave. I call back the next day to complain and it just rings and rings. Finally someone answered and there was nothing they can do. My eyebrows are ruined and now I have to draw them in if I don't want anyone realizing. Do not go here if you don't want your brows messed up. Also she was talking on the phone to someone while doing my brows. * Cash Only * I took a couple of friends with me to get our eyebrows done. We walked in and there was only 1 woman threading and 1 customer already sitting in the chair. We sat down and didn't realize we had to sign in. The woman threading saw us but didn't acknowledge us. Then 2 other women walked in and signed in. By the time we were aware that they were going by a list, a woman getting her whole face threaded had already sat down. I had my eyebrows threaded by a different woman that usually does them. She was quick but painful and kept shoving her knuckle into my eye. By the time she was done, my eyebrows were pretty red. When I've had them done by the younger and very thin woman in the past, this usually is not the case. I thought maybe it was just this particular woman with a rough hand but another woman came out to thread my friend and my friend reported that her eyebrow threading was also more painful than usual. I'll definitely give this place another shot in hopes that yesterdays experience was just a fluke. read more

SCAM, SCAM, SCAM! they lure you in with a fake $4.99 sign and you go inside and its $6.99, I walked in and the two women there were not wearing masks and had bad attitudes. They are baiting and switching and do horrible jobs. When I complained that the sign said $4.99 she became hostile and aggressive that the sign is old and I should've seen the new signs inside and I should call the owner to complain if I like. So I really hate to do this because I absolutely love this place except for one specific lady. She is at station one not very friendly either. The first time I went to her she made one of my eyebrows significantly thinner than the other one. This recent time I went I was in a lot of pain and thought it was weird. When she was done she didn't even hand me a mirror she just clean me with which hazel and when she did it burned really bad which I thought was weird. When I went home I rubbed my eye and it was so painful to even touch my eyebrows I looked closely in the mirror and I had tiny cuts. You can't beat $5 threading, but quality control just isn't there. PARKING: Shared lot SERVICE: It's a hit or miss depending on who you have. Don't be afraid to be specific with them on how you like your eyebrows, or else they'll just start cleaning them up. I came in with my brows in a mess as I was growing them out, and I left with decently groomed brows that were a bit too thick for my liking. They do not have a can of clean pens nor dirty pens. First red flag. Second I noticed people were waiting inside the store instead of outside the store. They did make it where you can sit ever other chair but I don't believe that's 6 feet apart. Third and I think this is the worse one, they do not sanitize their chairs after every use. They just have the you sit on their chairs they use on their previous client. Also I don't think the lady sanitizes her hands after every client either mind you she touches your face. After my sister and I were done we were freaking out because they have no COVID procedures here. My sister even mention how she thinks the lady uses the same thread from the previous client. I've grown up in the area from a little kid and my parents still live in the same house my grandparents bought in the 50's. I Soooooo had to check this place out!
