Kava michelada!
Alis A.

After having visited here so many times over the years, I believe it's time to update my review. This place must be built on magnets, because it draws in groovy and attractive people. It draws in the most creative, caring, and supportive people you will ever meet. Whether you come here to study or simply hang out, you will always leave feeling a sense of surprise on how such a quaint little kava bar can hold and support so much character. The kulture here is unlike any other kava spot, and people like Linda and Gary truly make it a wonderful experience in the way they are so willing to help you understand and enjoy the product. For instance, after so many years of coming here, it wasn't until Gary's suggestion of trying "Sam's way" I realized it's my favorite thing on the menu. I come here to unlock my creativity, and that's nothing short of what I experience every single time.

great chill vibe inside. perfect for groups or alone. I had the green K and white K teas. Both had mood elevating properties for me. I was energized and felt great with no lasting side effects. I have been to a kava bar in Phoenix that was also great but the dose on their Kratom Teas were really high. i think Kava Kulture has the mix down perfectly. Staff was friendly and informative. they have a cool bar you can sit at or pick a spot on some comfy sofas or grab a booth. There are also a few outside tables. afterwards you can stroll along the strip and grab a bite to eat. So much to choose from. If you are up for a .4 walking continuation you can walk straight north through a beautiful tree lined neigborhood and end up at Big Foot Lodge for a Guiness and then check out the only LA scottish restaurant Tam O Shantern. Atwater Village is an under rated destination but kicking off festivities should start at KAVA KULTURE. friendly service

Very nice relaxing inside

Finally found a kava bar in LA. Linda was super nice and helpful at explaining the lovely benefits of the kava root to my friend. They also have a cool happy hour from 3pm to 6:30pm.

cam back here so my mom could try out kava or kratom. I got my usual, the green K-tea (+ barista special with fruit flavors) because I love the energy/focus it gives you!! my mom got the berries and cream latte (special flavor) of kava! I loved my drink, I usually get it extra sweet because it offsets the bitterness of the kratom. my mom really liked the kava latte and it had the perfect sweetness. the girl who worked there even gave us two kava shots on the house, so kind--thank you so much!! (-: they were awesome! I really wish I lived closer to this place because I would be here more often!

PREVIOUS REVIEW2 It's been a while since I've been here the previous time. In addition to being very nice last time (except for the logistics of ordering and the non-functioning power outlets), the please remains a peaceful oasis and the ordering process has improved since. Most importantly, the coffee remains delicious, and the tomato basil tart was a wonderful quick lunch followed by a multi berry muffin. PREVIOUS REVIEW1 Cute little place in Atwater Village!! So cute with peaceful, relaxing and quiet atmosphere (inside/outside) that I thought I could get some work done (free WiFi). The concept is a bit confusing: There are a bunch of "menu items" such as sandwiches and wraps etc, but while they are listed on a big board behind the counter, you have to actually grab them premade/prepacked from a fridge ... The Vegan Smokey BBQ Wrap was very good except for the short and transient moment when I opened the container, but after all it was actually fresh, juicy and had a great flavor mix. The Mex Mocha with Almond milk (alternatives are available) was delicious, and I paired it with a GF Orange Chia Bread Loaf. PS: I'm neither Vegan nor GF fanatic... What really defied the purpose of coming here was the non-working power outlets, and the manager not taking care of it. My laptop unfortunately does not have a TESLA battery and hence I did not last for 2 hours... PS: I neither have a TESLA nor a Prius either ... Tip: Parking on this side of the street can be tough, look on the other side ...

We luckily found street parking up front, otherwise they have a small street nearby that you can probably park in as well. Only two people were ahead of us when we walked in but shortly after, the place filled up with the line almost out the door! There was only one worker but she made it work and she was fast! Cute decor and vibes inside. I wanted to try the pistachio bliss that everyone seemed to rave about but since their seasonal menu was out, I went for the toffee nut iced latte. The drinks are a bit on the pricier side, cute cups though! Something about the drink I got was a little off putting. Idk if it was whatever spice they used but I was not crazy about it. I definitely want to come back and try the pistachio at some point though! Getting out of my parking spot was rough. Busy street but also some annoying guy parked in the red zone behind me, basically bumper to bumper and then another girl in front had A LOT of room in front of her and just didn't give me enough room. I luckily made it out but very annoying! Anyway, still looking forward to coming back to try their pistachio bliss! IG: @ammysalamii

A female staff member said I could, so I ordered at the counter and asked her what drinks could be made caffeine-free. She very kindly told me that if I let her know which drink I wanted, she would make it without caffeine for me. The female staff who took my order was incredibly friendly. I ordered the Mango Coconut Boom, and it was great that they had a display board showing which order numbers were currently being made while I waited. After waiting for about 5 to 8 minutes, my drink came out, and it was really delicious. It wasn't too sweet and was very refreshing. (I actually try to avoid drinking sugary drinks because of my teeth. Ever since spending a fortune at the dentist a few years ago, I've been taking extra care of my teeth. So I usually don't drink sweet beverages, but this one didn't bother my teeth at all, which made it even better.) The only downside is that this location doesn't have any tables or seating space. Still, the drink was so delicious and refreshing that I finished it in a flash, and the staff who took my order was so friendly, which was great. (Even when Starbucks gives out free drinks sometimes with my reward points, I never order a Venti because I think it's a waste to order a large size just because it's free if I can't even finish it. So I just ordered a regular size yesterday, but it was so good that I drank it so fast.) I heard Hey Tea is very popular lately and that a lot of people love it, so I went out of curiosity yesterday, and I am completely satisfied.

Located along the LA River bicycle path, 10 Speed Coffee is located in Frog Town. Parking is limited to their small parking lot or neighborhood streets. Of course, the focus is on the bicycle. Whether with a laptop or a favorite book, the ambiance is inviting and peaceful, with a good amount of outdoor seating and limited indoor seating in the air conditioning. There are some creative drinks on their menu. Including an Earl Grey and coffee item. The menu also includes some pastries, a breakfast burrito, and vegan options. The espresso here is on the average side. Smooth in taste and weak in their lattes and cappuccinos. For a boutique coffee place, their coffee selection is mediocre compared to other nearby places.
