At times, he simply disappeared, leaving me without supervision. I also brought exercises from my physician, as recommended by my chiropractor. He flipped through them with complete indifference and offered no useful comment at all. I have been a patient at Kaufman since 2012, and I hold the doctors, billing staff, and front office in very high regard. They have earned my respect over the years. This review is about one rehab experience only and should not be taken as a reflection of the rest of the practice. As for this therapist, he seems better suited to selling athletic shoes than working with patients.

They start the patient experience with a consultation to determine needs and take any needed X-rays or other measures. The next appointment goes over the customized treatment plan and insurance details if they have them, and generally the first adjustment occurs. They have clear communication, flexibility for rescheduling or shifting appointments due to life's unexpected moments, and keep a clean clinic with fluid routines that makes for an efficient and enjoyable experience. Started many years ago with me bringing a friend who had MS, I then started going there as well over the years To get some adjustments with our insurance coverages and after what took place today I am absolutely terrified and confused... I arrived early for my 6pm appointment with Dr Ball, I saw a new person at the desk, she was polite at first, i offered to give her my new debit card to keep on file.So I could pay my forty dollar coPay on monday or wednesday?Which is my payday as we live paycheck to paycheck right now with the high cost of living in washington state, usually the people at the desk are lenient about it.And it's not a problem, and we don't carry a balance... She was very argumentative, picked up the phone and started reporting it to a manager as if ive done something wrong . I was confused about her attitude, and I let her know that it's usually not a problem If i've ever asked and it's only a couple of days, we have very expensive insurance That covers everything.And she kept arguing... being disrespectful, I asked her to stop with her causing me stress as I was there for a painful issue, she kept lecturing, gas liteing, baiting me, I finally said please stop!! I went to room 4 , the door was open at that point, and I could hear her talking really loud in the front office about me.Saying untrue statements to someone on the phone... She saw me in hallway , I asked her to stop talking about me like that, inappropriate..she tried to force me to take her phone , i said not appropriate, and I went inside the room closed the door waiting for the dr ball to come in for my appointment. Suddenly the door burst open, Dr Ball had a look of anger on his face that I've never seen before he came rushing towards me, yelling , what did you do to her!! GET OUT !! I was initially very hopeful about my chiropractic care here. The front desk staff and doctor were…read moreboth kind and welcoming, and I appreciated the calm environment. On one of my first visits, the doctor used a manual, more invasive adjustment; something that really surprised me given the nature of my injury and what I had shared about my pain. Unfortunately, that adjustment caused a significant increase in pain, and while I appreciated that he never used that technique again, the damage had already been done. I continued care longer than I probably should have, trying to trust the process and hoping things would improve. But the pain never got better, it intensified and began affecting new areas of my spine and lower back that hadn't been painful before. Eventually, at the recommendation of my primary care provider, I stopped chiropractic treatment altogether. I understand that every body responds differently, and some people may have positive experiences here. But I do wish there had been more attentiveness to how my body was responding early on. If you're considering chiropractic care after an accident, please listen to your body and advocate for yourself if something doesn't feel right.

Expect 20 minute MINIMUM appointments, because the doctors here take the time to assess and warm up your muscles (Think mini massage) before each adjustment. Dr. Heck is obviously very passionate about what he does, and explains in detail what he's doing, what could be causing pain, and miraculously adjusts any acute pain I'm having within minutes. Everyone is super friendly and it's very easy to get an appointment when you need. I love that they focus on holistic care, and refer you to great places for physical therapy and massage as needed. I've seen many chiropractors over the years (All who I thought were great!) and Hogan Chiropractic was the first place that didn't give me a blanket prescription of in and out visits 3 times a week for x amount of weeks, tapering off to 2 times a week indefinitely. Every visit feels meaningful and they see you based on how you feel-- not how they think you should feel.
