I've had multiple issues with my hips and other random joint pains that they were able to not only help me with but actually educate me on what was happening. I went to rehab for help with a frozen shoulder and received almost none of the professionalism or attention I expected. The therapist did not ask real questions about my condition. He did not even bother to give his name until I asked. There was no warmth, no effort to connect, and no sign that he had any real interest in the patient in front of him. At times, he simply disappeared, leaving me without supervision. I also brought exercises from my physician, as recommended by my chiropractor. He flipped through them with complete indifference and offered no useful comment at all. I have been a patient at Kaufman since 2012, and I hold the doctors, billing staff, and front office in very high regard. They have earned my respect over the years. This review is about one rehab experience only and should not be taken as a reflection of the rest of the practice. I have been a patient of this clinic for 5 years receiving decompression of my spine. The services have always been very good. Until last week when I was refused treatment because they now require a full exam and x-rays before this monthly procedure. Their much higher fee was refunded since I don't need an x-ray for a condition they have accepted all these years. It seems to be a case of them deciding to charge for unnecessary things. I'll be considerate and not give them a low rating now after years of good service. However, I will not recommend them and will take my business elsewhere. read more

I've had good experiences with the treatments at Kaufman, but I had some billing issues recently and had a tough time getting it resolved. I was ultimately able to speak to someone that was able to assist and sent me a refund for the difference. I saw Dr. Quintos today after having lower back pain for weeks. It was recurring on and off for years and I finally had to go in. Dr. Quintos was so professional, so warm and welcoming as well as chatted with me to make me comfortable and when I left, I felt excited to come back, get adjusted and catch up with him. It was like seeing a friend and I find that very comforting. The office is very clean, well taken care of and professional. After X rays that showed issues I never knew I had and a quick adjustment, I was feeling SO much better, I was even able to sit the rest of the day to complete my work, something I haven't been able to do sitting in my awful home office chair due to COVID. All staff were masked, Dr. Quintos stayed masked the entire time, areas were sanitized and sanitizer was available throughout. I'd recommend this place and Dr. Quintos in a heartbeat! I have been going to Kaufman's Chiropractic in Bothell for awhile so I feel like I can write a detailed review. There are some great things about them but also a few improvements needed imo. For a chiropractor, I think they are top quality but they do adhere to some of the more annoying things about chiropractic care. Chiropractic care is one of those services that can make you feel better but the challenge is that I have found that you have to commit to many, many apointments and you never seem to graduate. I think it's because they are adjusting you so you go need to go back constantly, I think of it like massage. You have to keep up on them to feel the effects. Added to that is the fact that they insist on taking many dozens of images/xrays when you start and one of the chiropractor's at Kaufman's kept saying standard of care is 2 years so I'm guessing that you get lots of xrays every 2 years. So it's a committment of many appointments (they often say 3 per week when you start) and many xrays and ongoing so I can get warn out by the committment to keep going...! I do not understand why they insist on taking all of the back/spine/neck xrays when the doctor who adjusts you does it by feel and never seems to look at the xrays? I think they are used initially to see if you have a growth (like cancer?) and that is the only reason. I don't feel that I have gotten the best quality of care always because they don't take the time to look at my spine and really consider what I need, adjustments can be under 10 minutes in length. They usually book your appointment with others at the same time, recently I was about number 5 in line and it took about 40 minutes of waiting. They don't like to turn people away but it can get annoying when you show up for your appointment and you are behind the line so keep in mind that it's a suggested appointment time. I've been to 4 of their doctors and I've liked them all except 1. I think they are very skilled as chiropractors so if you are okay with the whole concept of chiropractic care and what it entails I highly recommend these guys (except the wait times). I'm one of those people who has a problem back so I need them and I usually do feel better after they manipulate my neck and back. It's the reason I put up with the sometimes long wait times and drive 30 minutes out to Bothell and back. I think it works well in combination with massage but PT is different. Kaufman's has a PT area and lazer therapy as well but I am not as comfident in their PT background. I would probably go with a place that specializes in PT if I needed that versus a place that specializes in chiropractic care. They haven't been very knowledgable about the spinal decompression or use of the lazer which is why I make that comment. Avoid. Went to them for treatment for a car accident and at first everything was fine and they presented everything very clearly including costs. They however failed to properly bill my insurance provider and tried to get me to sign a lien agreement against my insurance settlement after I had already had multiple treatments. When I objected and told them to bill my insurance and then send me the bill they followed up a few weeks later with a voicemail claiming my account was past due and yet have NEVER sent me a bill for services rendered. Dr. Kaufman is not only talented, knowledgeable, and experienced, but is genuinely kind and sincere. He was highly recommended to me for my chronic lower back, sciatica, and neck pain and within three visits the pain had drastically decreased. I have continued my treatment for the past 2 years, and the improvements in my health and comfort are unfounded. In addition to the adjustments, the clinic offers a great in-house physical therapy program that definitely contributed to my rapid pain relief. The chiropractic team here is absolutely amazing. After going for a few months with my husband, we trusted them enough to treat our twins who are born prematurely and they've done a great job. The front desk has also been incredible. We've had to flex our schedule a few times due to the babies schedule changing and they have been so courteous and accommodating. I also have worked with the rehabilitation team and everyone there does a really great job! Minus one star due to the fact that every interaction with the billing team has been truly unpleasant. On the first initial consult, I met with a member of the team to go over my benefits, and they explained to me what my primary covered and I asked them how that would work with my secondary insurance. Their response was that I need to call and figure that out myself. I have always paid my co-pays at time of service for my whole family and pay any outstanding bills the second I get them in the mail. However, I recently got a bill and called to pay it and when I did so, the billing team told me that my outstanding balance was four times what the statement said. I asked why and they said insurance wasn't covering multiple visits unexpectedly . I asked if I could just pay the balance on the current bill I had in front of me and the response was, "fine, but im just going to mail you this bill today then you need to pay it." I told them I'm more than happy to pay it as always, but I just want to make sure that insurance covers there portions before charging a bunch to my card (they can't issue refund to cards but have to cut and mail you a check), and the response was "the bill is due either way." I called both my insurances to figure out what was wrong and they asked me to have the billing team called them directly. I then called the billing team back and they told me I need to call insurance and that they won't call the insurance. I asked if there's anything they could do and they said that they can re-issue the payment request to insurance. I said great please do and then the response was no we're not going to because they'll just deny the claims again. I was very confused because they just offered to do so, so I asked again if they can resubmit and they said you can talk to our manager who is out of office so leave a message. I started to respond and was cut off, "I'm transferring you now" and then she transferred me over before I could finish my sentence. The manager then called later and said I told the front desk the wrong insurance info which is the problem. I told her I let the desk know my employer may be changing insurance in the new year, but ended up they didn't so it must have just been confusion. She then said "well the issue is that you told them the wrong information so we billed based on that... or I guess some miscommunication". The manger did email me the EOBs they had on their end to use to call my insurance companies back again, which I appreciated at least. The whole billing team seems frustrated to engage whatsoever in questions, and the customer service there is essentially non-existent in my experience. Overall, front desk and chiropractic/rehab team are amazing! So long as you don't have to work with billing, you will have a great experience! read more

Avoided Surgery! Dr Neeley's expertise and knowledge in alternative Chiropractic techniques in addition to a background in Massage Therapy enabled a gentler approach to my treatment that Traditional Chiropractic methods (I suffered from a badly herniated\possibly ruptured disc). When standard 'drop table' and traditional Chiro proved too harsh for my delicate condition, he was able to draw upon this experience and change approaches for a gentler therapy plan that has worked wonders. My degree of recovery has been nothing short of amazing and my quality of life is nearly that of what it was before my injury. After several months of intense treatment, my frequency of visits has decreased and continues to become less frequent. This proves to me that his approach to healing is sound and the patient's long-term recovery is his priority. I recommend Dr Neeley to any friend who's needing Chiropractic work. read more

Their scam is to tell you that Your L&I case will For Sure go through (but if for some reason it doesn't Kaufman will lie and tell you he'll write it off) This is all a LIE to get you to PAY MORE out of pocket!!! They make you get adjusted frequently for weeks And make you do physical therapy at their office. They charge TWICE what normal offices charge, and then when you claim doesn't go through they throw a HUGE bill at you. I told them right off the bat that I Needed to make sure they could help because I didn't have money or insurance. They assured me it would go through, but "you have to keep seeing us 3 times a week to get better". Dr. Kaufman's brags that he learned everything from his BFF (another chiropractor who referred me after having L&I privileges taken away! And then this same chiropractor recently lost his practice due to Attempting to DEFRAUD AN FBI AGENT!!! Months after sending me a bill that stated my charges had been "written off" they are still sending me a bill for $885!!! RUN AWAY!!! Go see Dr. Ehren Pace in Kirkland instead. I saw Dr. Kaufman based on many positive Yelp reviews. My review, however, is not positive at all and I hope it helps others make a better decision whether or not this doctor and clinic is for them. The Bothell office is a very busy office indeed, running like a well-oiled machine -- a Soviet era clinic that is, an assembly line styled operation with many tiny stall manipulation spaces, and machine-like receptionists. I experienced no personal empathy, a smile, accommodation or anything else that made me feel good to be there from the two receptionists, ever. There was a sign behind the receptionists on the wall that said, in effect, if you post a review on Yelp and show them the printout of your review, they would enter you in a drawing for $100 gift card. That should have been a sign for me to move on to a different clinic. People usually don't show a negative review to the receptionists and expect to be treated better. I hope all these positive reviews were not for the chance to earn $100. Dr. Kaufman is a super pleasant man - the only positive experience I had there. I'm going to state the facts and let you decide how good he did his job. I had a lower back pain when I first saw Dr. Kaufman. After several sessions and not getting any better, he began manipulating my neck. That created a severe pain in my neck that over a year later I still have, with the same severity. In my opinion, there was no reason my neck was manipulated for a lower back pain. (I never had any pain in my neck or upper back in the past) During a different session months later, he pressed on my upper back so hard that he must have cracked a rib because I had problems coughing, taking deep breaths, and a year later still feel the pain. That was the final straw and I finally stopped going to the clinic after several months, with my existing pain intact, and two new ones to show for my visits with Dr. Kaufman. That is why I'm giving a one star rating for the Kaufman Chiropractic clinic. I'll let you decide: If a chiropractor is certain of his/her skills, knows what they are doing and want me to trust their work, then wouldn't you think they intentionally hurt me so I would have more paying visits to the clinic? If you would brush it off to the chiropractor not knowing what the heck they are doing, then the yelp rating should be obvious. Literally the best office and group of people ever!! I have been going here since a issue with my pregnancy left me unable to walk, over a year ago, and I have been so happy with their work. I was up and walking around a week later, making me 9 mo pregnant and able to give birth to my amazing daughter.... this group I've been seeing for almost a year now, and have been going once a week or so.... never felt better and truly thankful for such awesome caring doctors!!! I don't do reviews, but 3 weeks ago I screwed up a nerve in my lower back and knew I needed immediate treatment. I had trouble walking 10 feet and couldn't stand straight up due to the burning pain in my hip down through my thigh. I've broken bones before that were much less painful. On a pain scale it was at least an 8.5. After seeing Dr. Kopet, he manipulated my spine and I walked out feeling better. After decompression therapy and 3-4 more visits, my pain scale was down to about a 3. After 2 weeks I'm able to walk without pain (maybe a .5) and standing straight for after a minute it's down to about a 1. I've been doing the exercises and stretches that Megan and Andrew showed me in therapy. I know I'll have to keep it up at home, and I have 3 more visits scheduled, but I wanted to let people know how great it's been to work with Dr. Kopet and how I got pain relief faster than I ever expected. Dr. Sarah Nowinski is awesome. She is very easy to talk to and listens! This office cares about your well being and won't try to sucker you in, just because your insurance will pay for it. I was having some shoulder problems so Dr. Nowinski had me go in once a week for a little over a month. She also had me do physical therapy re-hab, which is on site and included in my 35 co-pay. I worked with Mike, a personal trainer, who taught me exercises to strengthen my core, arms and shoulders, in order to help with my posture and prevent future problems. After about a month, i was reassessed and now only go back in once a month. I feel really lucky to have found a place that is genuinely concerned with my well-being, and not interested in milking my insurance! read more

This was the first chiropractor that I went to and was recommended by my in-laws. Everything was great and I paid each time I go for my copay. I just don't think I can afford $70 each week and the 7.5 mile drive. I didn't really have much complaints, they got job done. My only issue is that after not going for about couple weeks I received a bill. Weird, since my insurance covers everything but the copay. The bill doesn't make sense to me. And one charge stated I paid partial on my copay and I have the statements to show I paid in full and never once paid a partial. Their billing department are NOT so good at finance. I will inquire with my in-laws about my issues. Im sure they will find this very interesting and bold for the establishment to bill me extra. I quit going cuz I cannot afford even the copay. When I first walked in Kaufman Chiropractic and had my initial consultation with Dr. Cassandra Schroder I was hopeless. At 26 I decided I was just going to live with chronic pain for the rest of my life. Years of childhood football injuries, long hours on a strenuous job, and a host of other factors had taken their toll. When I first moved to Seattle ~3 years prior I did see another chiropractor for a couple of months but it always felt like his goal was to get me in and out as fast as possible while appearing as nice as possible. He had trouble remembering where I was hurting. I would just choose one pain to try to get him to help me with each time. When I walked in hurting in 9 different places I decided to tell Dr. Schroder everything. What did I have to lose? She is both very empathetic and a fantastic listener. Every single appointment Dr. Schroder keeps track of and works on the various chronic pains and injuries I have (wrist, forearm, lower back, neck, etc...) Walking out after my first visit I had so much pain relief and so much hope I literally sat in my car and cried tears of relief. So much of the pain I walked into this office with several months ago is gone and stays gone. Dr. Schroder isn't just focused on helping me achieve some pain relief while I'm there. She is always happy to answer questions, provide advice, and think of other ways to complement and accelerate this healing process. Overall, the entire place is very professional and well run. The front desk is very friendly and helpful. I feel very lucky to have found such a competent and helpful chiropractor. 3 weeks ago I was able to meet my brother for a weekend of snowboarding at Mount Hood and ride pain-free, something I wouldn't have dreamed of a year ago. read more

I really like Dr. Kaufman. I believe he's my 4th chiropractor and hopefully my last for a while. He bounces between the Bothell and the Monroe clinic, which is nice so you can pick which location suits you best. He is a really genuine man, and wants to make you better, but doesn't over promise anything. He looks at things realistically, which is a nice change from all the over optimistic chiropractors I've had who promise you the moon. Randomly one day I could not turn my head to the left. It was horrible. It hurt, and made driving a pain (turning your entire body for a head check, annoying). I called in and asked if they could squeeze me in. They could at around 5 oclock that day. An hour later I called back and begged them to see if they could get me in earlier, they made a spot for me at 4 and they were able to have someone else do my assessment so that I could see Dr. Kaufman earlier. He didn't try to sell me on some crazy 3 time a week program for several months like other chiropractors did. Just wanted me to come in a couple times until I got better, decreasing the frequency as I was feeling more relief. I would 110% tell people to come see Dr. Kaufman, and I will definitely continue to come in if I need any sort of adjustment. read more

Don't get me wrong, Dr. Guindon is great and so is the front desk staff in general. Billing/Insurance, like with many clinics, could use some better handling. They DO expect you to keep track of how many adjustments/sessions you have used and will take no responsibility and will not work around it if you used even one more session than your insurance covers. They won't even warn you when you are getting close to your allotted limit. That aside, their rehab program was really good last year and I felt like I was getting a lot out of it but then they changed trainers and suddenly I felt like I was singled out for wearing the same exact clothes I wear to the gym due to their new 'dress code'. I paid my bill and canceled future appointments. If I need chiropractic/rehab work in the future, I guess I'll go elsewhere. read more
