Updating my review since it's been a while since I've been here. I stopped coming because I went on a trip & kept forgetting to reschedule. I came back because my upper and lower back symptoms returned. I haven't been consistent with exercises and stretching which caused the relapse. I like that they keep me accountable and remind me that I'm in charge of my health. Some of the staff has changed since I was here last but they are still kind & very helpful. The doctors are still great at explaining what's going on with me and tell me what I can do to improve. They tell me visits are frequent to start to allow continuous healing then we taper down as I improve. I want to get back to monthly adjustments to help keep all the pains away. Whether it's been a month or 3 years since I've been here, I always leave the office feeling a little bit better. read more

I had been having some very minor tightness in my shoulders so I came here after discovering that chiropractic visits were included with my insurance. Here was my experience: First visit: I saw Katherine and she was nice. We spent a few minutes going over medical history, etc and she was very communicative, asking if everything felt okay. She said that for the first couple weeks, they want to see you twice a week, which sounded like a money grab to me, but okay. I scheduled another appointment for later that week. Second visit: This time I saw Brian. He spent less than 5 minutes with me, didn't ask any questions, did some realignment without explaining anything, and concluded by saying "we'll spend the first couple weeks seeing how your body reacts and we'll give you some stretches and exercises the next time we see you." I scheduled a follow up three days later. Third visit: I saw Brian again and the first thing he asked is if I had been stretching. I mentioned that I had stretched the day before and he then went on a rant about how chiropractic care is mostly on the patient to do stretches on their own and gave a ridiculous analogy about a boat filing up with water. Keep in mind that I had just seen him three days prior and here he is acting like the world is coming to an end even though he had just said a few days before that he'd be the one to give me stretches to do (which he hadn't at this point). He also said that I "shouldn't be having the issues I'm having at my age". What issues? He didn't ask a single question about how I was feeling and didn't look at any test results. Like I mentioned before, I only came in because of very minor soreness that is hardly painful at all. This was also before he had even realigned me for this visit, so he hadn't even felt if anything was off at this point. Eventually he gave me a printed piece of paper with like 15 stretches on it and sent me on my way. Less than 5 minutes total. He didn't bother to show me any of the stretches, explain how it'd help me, or help me through anything at all. He also said to "google foam roller exercises." Absolutely awful service. Do yourself a favor and avoid this place. read more

I highly recommend this place! I woke up in a lot of pain one Saturday morning and after calling around to a few places, they were able to accommodate me here, which was greatly appreciated. From the moment I walked in, all staff were very professional and caring. I've never been to a more thorough chiropractic office in my life! About 15 minutes were spent just going over my history, my injuries, range of motion, etc. Pretty much everything was discussed so they knew what to treat. Dr. Brian didn't just treat what was hurting me at the time, but assessed everything and made a few other adjustments to get me back in alignment. Normally I'm a "one and done" or as needed kind of person with chiropractic care, but I feel I am benefitting from a maintenance schedule here. I have been a patient at D.C. for 3.5 months now and have been very pleased! They really take the time to listen to my concerns and I never feel like my appointments are rushed. They always seem to have appointment times and are super flexible! I initially started visiting as I was experiencing hip alignment issues due to long work hours as an accountant, which have greatly improved from readjustments, and stretching exercises (both at the clinic and from home). Both my husband and I were experiencing Neck and lower back pain due too long desk hours. I began looking for a chiropractor near us open with flexible hours that could accommodate our long work days. We were very happy after our first visit at D.C. Everyone there was very courteous and professional. After my first visit the pain I was experiencing in my neck and shoulders had reduced significantly. Now, a couple visits later, the pain I was experiencing in my neck is completely gone and my daily routine has changed dramatically as I am no longer bogged down by annoying pain. I find myself with more energy and in better spirits as I am now able to focus on things that actually matter, and not waste time wondering when my daily pain will strike. Also worth noting is that I wear the headscarf for religious purposes. Because I wear the headscarf, I am always nervous when visiting any new practice. I've been going to a Discover Chiropractic (DC) for a little over a year now. I've had chiropractic care for the last 25 years, and I know the benefits. I found DC via Yelp, and reached out online for an appointment. I was impressed with the amount of pre-work I was able to complete before my appointment to help everything go smoothly. At my first appointment, they took time to explain everything from signing in, to the assessment of my needs, and my first adjustment. Ellie and Sam are super friendly, speedy, and helpful as you come into the office and get settled. Dr Brian took time to show me what areas were out of alignment, explain how it was impacting me, and give me a transparent review of what treatment would be. It was a great education, and I felt well informed to make decisions. DC took care of the initial shoulder pain I saw them for fairly quickly, and I never felt pressured about making appointments-- they give you the info and let you decide. Now, my whole family sees Dr Brian regularly, and instead of treating pain he helps us stay in alignment and prevent future issues. It's a fantastic place with wonderful people who want to help. I'm super skeptical of chiropractors. The ones where I'm from put you through the same routine as every other patient regardless of symptoms. These guys don't do that. As a Personal Trainer I was seeking a chiropractor to utilize for maintenance from previous back injuries from my time in the military and firefighting. I was really impressed at Discovers staff during appointment making and professionalism (I've even gotten an appointment same day within the hour after calling which makes it easy for my schedule) They remember your name and with thier computer touch screen intake system it makes the treatment process more detailed and you have more participation with your care, which I like. Shortly after I suffered neck,back, and head injuries from a car accident. My mobility and ability to lift was compromised and this is crucial to my business. Both Dr. Brian and Dr. Adam worked on me 3 days a week for several weeks and got me back to working out and surfing again. I have used other chiropractic care before and either had billing issues, pain from overcorrecting, or questioned the used hocus pocus and wands and lazers. I have both used VA and auto insurance PIP and the staff makes it seemless and super easy. For you military veterans out there, I've had my share of VA outpatient care billing nightmares and these guys know exactly how to help and get you the care you need without the stress of billing. For these reasons above I have been sending my personal training clients to these guys (I recieve no kickback of anykind or monetary incentive for this referal partnership) to work together to accelerate the healing process with clients with either previous sports injuries, chronic back injuries, and even elite athletes to keep the body properly aligned and working correctly while they progress through their training with me and it has done wonders for them! I started a course of my treatments here after finding them on Yelp and seeing great reviews, just like you are doing right now. To be honest, I was thinking the comments were too good to be true. I would like to share a detailed customer experience that I had with them. I went in last year after getting involved in an incident that I injured my neck. The sessions lasted that involved professional treatment by the chiropractor consisted of 3-5 minutes at best and I was told to lay down on their stretch machines that were not any help. Such session that consisted that routine cost about $150, just to find out afterwards. I went to get treatment elsewhere. The way they treated me during the first session compared to the last session were totally different. This place made me realize how cold this world is that I need to be careful. People working here don't care about you. They don't even like their job. It is straight cole business. You can either be smart and check out other great chiropractic centers in the area OR find it out the hard way yourself, by risking your time and money. It is your decision. read more

This place is amazing. Such a great staff so nice and helpful. I went in almost 2 weeks ago with a strained back from work and I could barely stand straight or sit or stand for more then 5 mins. They were able to get me in right away. I was really concerned as I didnt want to go to the er and just be given meds and not actually help me. Withing the first visit I was feeling 30% better. I found Discover Chiropractic here on Yelp and decided to go because of all the great reviews. The place has lived up to the hype and I couldn't be happier with the service I've received from them. I went in for the first time because of migraines I was getting from exercising. Anytime I would run over 3-4 miles I would get a throbbing heading which would escalate into a migraine. With the help of Dr. Brian and Dr. Adam, I have been able to slowly increase my mileage over the past couple months of treatment. I can now run 10+ miles with no headache issues and am now training for my first marathon. (Update: I completed my first marathon in 3:18:04 and didn't have any issues). Everyone is friendly and helpful during each of my visits. Another thing I like about Discover Chiropractic is that there isn't any pressure to make a next appointment or come right back in. I could barely stand up straight or walk before I found this place. When my back goes out L, it really goes out. It was recommended by a friend of mine. Very friendly and helpful staff. They really take the time to get to know you and what you need. My first exam was so through and all of my follow up visits have been great! I can walk again and am feeling so much better. At first I went several times a week, much needed to get back on track, but now am going once a week. I like that they check in with you and it's a joint decision on how often you want to come. Wow. Just wow. I haven't had any chiropractic work done in probably 7 or so years. The pain in my back and neck coupled with the constant headaches were beyond draining. The amount of pain I was in deflated me and was taxing not only on my body but on my mind and soul. I finally decided that I needed to seriously consider going back to a chiropractor, and maybe even acupuncture. I met Dr. Heck through a mural acquaintance and the passion for what he does came out so colorful I couldn't help but feel hope that maybe he could help fix me. After 2 treatments from Dr. Heck, and having him walk me through my entire body, having the patience to explain everything and what his recommendations for treatment were (he more talked / cared about my overall health than even my physician does and that's a high compliment) and how I will get on the road to recovery...yeah, I'm beyond sold. He didn't dismiss anything I said and TRULY listened to both my words and "listened" to my body and it's needs. Dr. Heck took it a step further and recommended me to the most amazing acupuncturist. After meeting him, and two office visits, I know without a doubt that Dr. Heck TRULY cares about my physical well being. I HIGHLY recommend Dr. Heck and his staff at Discover Chiropractic. I was recommended here by a friend, and have not been disappointed! I've been going here for several weeks now because of hip, back, and neck pain, mostly from old sports injuries. I've been amazed by the progress I've already seen in just a few weeks! The treatment here feels very personal and individualized to fit my needs and uses a variety of techniques (adjustment, stretching, massage in my case). Great service to the community. I found this place randomly. I wanted them to look at my back where I had a swollen sore muscle near my spine leading up to my right shoulder. It impacted me from walking, standing, sleeping, sitting, etc. I couldn't touch my feet with my hands. I had the flexibility of a 75 year old. No joke. Dr. Brian and Dr. Ryu did a great job diagnosing and giving me care for my shoulder issue. I felt different after the back adjustments and following the after care program of stretching or doing something active. I can touch my toes rather easily. My posture and stability have come back in balance. I feel much stronger and I have more energy now. *Dr. Ryu stated "if my symptoms stayed the same and not improving with Discover's care he was going to refer me to a specialist." They do honest to God's work with your best interest in mind. Discovers' staff is nice and friendly. They accepted my United Health Care insurance. I would pay 30.00 per visit regardless if I wanted a heat pad or ice pack.I would and have recommend this practice to everyone I know who has any back issues. read more
