Today was my first visit to Katz's Memorial City, actually to any Katz's. I came away thoroughly impressed. Everything was enjoyable. The food was very good and the service was excellent. The restaurant was clean and very comfortable. I'll definitely go back again, and again, and again . read more

The place is beautiful with a great vibe. Nice music and TVs in the bar area. Food was great for most of our group. Out of 5 of us we all enjoyed our. One person in our group didn't enjoy the Rubin which was very sloppy- too much sauce. Chicken and waffles, two egg combos with pancakes were delicious. Service was good too-very welcoming. read more

Ordered the Katzadilla and the Monte Cristo. When the Katzadilla came out, I actually wondered if they forgot half of it. It was *four* tiny, chip-sized quesadilla slices--definitely not a meal. I finished it in about four bites. To make things worse, the side I ordered with it didn't come out until *after* I had already finished my entrée. And I had to eat that side with my hands because we were only given two knives--no forks. The food tasted good, the staff was friendly, and the space was clean, but the experience was honestly frustrating. I walked out just as hungry as I walked in. Seriously, either increase the portion sizes, lower the prices, or move the Katzadilla to the kids menu--because that was not it. read more

Let's just say we have been 6x in about 3weeks, so its safe to say we like it. Big menu, good choices. The service has been really great. Hours are good for us too. We go for dinner so we haven't dealt with any crowds, so thats been good. Really nice inside, clean and comfortable. Grilled chicken sandwich, steak fries, good onion rings, great cheese bites app. read more

Overall love how the menu has so many different things to eat. Can't really go wrong, plus the way it's open 24/7 keeping people employed. Gotta love that. WHAT KIND OF SUCKED WAS THE Cajun pasta. They need to go back to the drawing board on that one. Salty funky taste. read more

The food was average honestly nothing special. I got the hoagie it was okay. The service was okay our server started of strong but then went downhill didn't get refills till we asked the busser. It's a nice little place. But wouldn't comeback since it's just nothing special or great that got my attention. read more

Let me begin with this...Katz's Memorial City has been only open for a few weeks so like any establishment there will be growing pains. A team does not coalesce overnight!! I ordered the tried and true Katz's Two-Egg Combo Plate with a cup of coffee. If a dining establishment has a high standard for their basics then the rest of the dishes can be transformed to a higher standard as needed. Again the variables at the moment, new cooks, new team, new bussers, new location, new flow..you get my drift. Time and experience will be a deciding factor for this location, but the amount of effort from breaking ground through transitory construction and now opening, somebody has full confidence that KATZ'S will be a staple in this area. I had a chance to talk briefly with two of the managers (I did not get the name of the first manager who informed me about their Grand Opening and charity work, but I do remember Jazzy because she introduced herself and asked if my meal was to my liking) It appears that the current staff fully support these two managers as they were multitasking this night. It showed trust and respect between team and management. The menu is extensive and if I tried every dish I would have to live in the gym so let me know what dish ya'll like. Yelp it up. read more

First time trying out the new location. Plenty of space in the parking lot. Excellent service from Averi. We came for hot chocolate and it was delicious with whipped cream and crème de menthe drizzle. Made with Ghirardelli powder. The tuna melt on sourdough was yummy. Second visit here. Beautiful space and lots of light in the dining room. Pet friendly patio a plus. Big menu. Service is prompt, but the kitchen is a bit slow on both visits. Pricing is as 2025 average $15-23 a plate, but portions disappoint. It's a common theme on the reviews and in my first visit. Wait staff agreed on portion sizes being small and directed me to the chicken and waffle or Chiliquilles for breakfast. Portion was legit for Chicken and Waffle, added eggs now $20 plate. Chicken is cooked with fish batter like at chilis. Had to sop the grease up with my napkin a bit. May get pricey for families of 3-6 . No sweet tea is a disappointment with 30 drinks options. read more

This place is a gem! It's open 24 hours, which makes it perfect for any late-night cravings or early-morning bites. The food is always fresh and delicious, and the atmosphere is super welcoming no matter what time you walk in. I love that I can count on them any hour of the day or night. Whether you're grabbing a sandwich after a long day or stopping in for a quick bite at 3 AM, they never disappoint. Definitely recommend this spot if you need a reliable, tasty, and always-open deli. It's a neighborhood favorite for a reason! read more

I typically not give bad reviews. 3 times at this location, giving benefit of doubt. The 3 time phone order service ( when I told them my order never showed up ). I asked the person at Katz who answered phone to remake my order ( work department group order $120.00 ) and I go pick it up myself. They said no and hung up phone on me. They wanted me to reorder and pay again!!? So I drove there and right away the same person so I not make a scene agreed to remake the order. I got to work and order was incomplete! Person who waited their lunch 2 hours later) and paid for missing food. I called back and spoke to manager who I met in person and who promised to credit my card an call me back. I never got phone call back or credit for money I spent. DO NOT GO TO this Katz location. What can be improved, the customer experience of employee listening , being understanding of customer and to make it right $120.00 is not pocket change . read more

I am very disappointed. I was so excited to finally got over there, I have been trying to make time since they opened. Ordered a traditional pastrami and matzo ball soup. Brought home a pastrami Reuben, which was not what I asked for. I asked for plain rye, not toasted. Obviously the Reuben was grilled. For the soup, there was not enuf actual soup to cover the noodles. Bad first impression. read more

Excited that a Katz opened near me as I've been to other locations. Ambiance: Nice job with the remodel. Service: not terribly busy and I saw plenty of staff, but it took 10-15 min for someone to come to the table. Food: not sure. I ordered the Niçoise salad whose main ingredient is tuna. Salad had no tuna. Just lettuce, cucumbers and capers. Summary: I wasted 35 minutes and left without taking a bite. Restaurants wonder why people stay away--expensive and poor service. read more

WOW, where to start. If you are looking for a real deli, forget it. NOTHING served to us (3 orders) was the least bit appealing. My wife's salmon Benedict's salmon was mealy and questionable. Our guest's Corned Beef Hash looked like it was made by a single college guy with no culinary skills whatsoever. Thinly SLICED corned beef (hardly any flavor) was just laid on top of a bed of potatoes. And of course the Pièce de résistance was my Monty Christo that looked more like a grilled cheese, just throw on an empty plate. To summarize in 2 words - OY VEY! We won't be back. read more

I literally just left the restaurant the food was amazing, but my waiter... his name is Kartson. He was doing fine in the beginning of my dinner. While I was actively eating he asked for my plate which I brushed off, I clearly was still eating. About 2 mins later he come back with the machine to pay & replies " are you guys ready to pay? so you can get out of here? I paid & my fiancée asked for a to-go sprite, he says "okay follow him to the front" what if we wanted to sit for a sec, I mean we were super full. Outside of that, the food was great. read more

The food was so salty I couldn't eat it. The Cheesecake was not NY style. The picture of the cheesecake shows it with strawberries and there was none. read more

We were sat at a dirty table, and crammed at that. When we asked to move to another table or remedy the situation, we were meet with attitude from the hostess. We brushed the seats off and sat down, where we then waited for 10 minutes, while we watched our waitress walk over us several times, no greet. We walked out and took our business across the street. As a person also in the industry, I wouldn't want to take my family or anyone back to this specific location. read more

Not sure why there are low ratings for this place. We decided to try breakfast here. The restaurant is beautiful! In addition, the service was TOP NOTCH, friendly and attentive. Our food was amazing! Great food, clean establishment and great service, plus they are always open. To top it off thehappy hour specials are unbeatable

It has good food and good service; although the one in town has more originality. Still it is new and more convenient to the west side.

28 dollars for a turkey sandwich, burnt chips and a tea. Sandwich was marginal at best. Ridiculous read more

We went in for my husband's birthday. He loves a good brunch place. The food was amazing, and the service was outstanding! Inside decor is beautiful, you would have never guessed that was once a Jason Deli. We will definitely be back. Can't wait to try their drinks, looked delicious! read more

Food is Katz's. Lovely and late night friendly. On this occasion, the star was Andre. We had a lovely time. He raised it to the next level. Upon our request he made our menu choices and we got a couple of drinks. One was a custom drink called a Tokyo tea. He made sure it was done correct. We will definitely be back. And we will request Andre by name. read more

katz is always good. its nice they have new locations besides the mintrse location. hights and galleria. always great rubins.

Service is slow. Food is dry. Very overpriced. Waitress did not give us receipt. Never will go again.

Wonderful "Angel Wings" decaf whole bean --our fav. Service exceptionally helpful on phone by Elizabeth! We have LOVED their coffee for years. It's the ONLY COFFEE we allow in OUR house. Thank you, Katz! read more

We ordered a to-go order for pick-up. I was surprised to see that there was a credit card surcharge of 2.85%. I saw that my total included taxes and fees, so I assumed the surcharge was included in that number. I added my tip and paid. When I looked at my online receipt, I saw that the taxes and fees already included a gratuity. I tipped on top of the added tip that was included in my bill. I'm not against tipping for to-go orders at all, but I think to be sneaky about already including a tip is very unprofessional, not to mention very misleading. read more

Katz's has always had knishes!!!!!Why not at Memorial City location.?? Our server was excellent!! His name is Tim. The food was delicious. I would have thought the cheese cake would have at least had strawberries and sause on it. We sat across from the bar and it was real noisy. Not from guests but staff screaming at each other. Then they had to BLEACH the floor because staff spilled olives and the juice all over the floor. Bleach doesn't go well with food, so we got our desert to go. If I had a business I'd hire Tim the waiter. read more

I would not recommend this location. The food was bland. Service was great. Ambiance was 7 out of 10.

We got there before 6 am and waited for 6-7 minutes for someone to seat us. Then when ordering, I wasn't told there was a less expensive option when ordering 3 eggs, bacon and sausage separately like the Klassic breakfast. One option was Belgian waffle for 4.99 but I was charged almost 10. For 2 simple breakfasts with coffee, the total was over $53.00 with standard tip. Way too expensive and the service was not what we expected as this was our 3rd trip. read more

I really was hoping this would be a good food experience. The 1 Star is for the nice customer service...I've moved to Houston from Chicago several months ago and I have yet to have delicious tasting food. I've been having a taste for a monte cristo sandwich for weeks than decided to try one at the new memorial city location. I thought... It's a new location they should be on top of things. I placed a to go order and when I arrived something told me to do something I've NEVER done before, check my food. I'm glad I did because the I was expecting a crunchy on the outside chewy inside sandwich with delicious raspberry jam. What I ACTUALLY got was a $14 soggy turkey and salty ham grill cheese sandwich with no powdered sugar. I told them about the sugar and they made another sandwich I was getting excited because I thought maybe this sandwich would have that crunchy battered outer layer ...NOPE the gave me another turkey/ham grill cheese with a lot of powdered sugar and the raspberry jam was gross. I was hoping I could make the place my spot because the menu reminded me of back home. Once again I'm disappointed and money wasted on another salt pit of a restaurant. read more

The food was good, but upon review of my to go receipt I notice I was charged an almost 3% credit card fee and a 5% to go gratuity. I saw no notice of these fees nor was I told about them. I've heard of restaurants adding ridiculous fees, but this is the first time I've actually experienced it. I thought better of Katz's. They should be ashamed. read more

Server tried hard, bless her heart, but first they were out of Dos Equis, then the bar was backed up, then she didn't get back to us for awhile. It took almost five minutes for a waitress to show up just to take our drink orders. The spears of pickles were delicious. Not so much for the flavored teas. The server brings ordinary tea and a saucer cup filled with the flavor so you can pour it in and mix it yourself when you need a refill. The concentrated juice in the flavored teas is thicker. I didn't particularly enjoy the sandwich. I was given a sandwich with balled-up meat in the center, unevenly cut bread, and very little dressing. There was no salt or sugar on the sweet potato fries. I waited more than ten minutes for my drink to be refilled. The waiter didn't realize I needed a refill when he finally came to see how you were doing. The management went to the tables in front of and behind us, avoiding my table, to check on certain tables. At best, it was unprofessional.Overall, the meal presentation and customer service at this establishment need to be improved. read more
