Cleanness and efficiency have obviously been the priority when setting up the seating spaces. I'd like to congratulate this establishment for having such excellent, friendly and efficient service. I've never waited more than 2 minutes for my order. I've never had such friendly conversations with cashiers either. This is the first time in my life that the friendliness and warmth of baristas is sufficient enough to make me want to go back to a coffee shop. Laughs and smiles, joyful attitude, etc. By now, I'm sure everyone's thinking: "Alright we get it, you want to marry the cashiers. But what about the food man? Get to it." Well, the thing is, I despise coffee. This is one of the very few establishments where I'll drink coffee. The cupcakes are heaven and the cakes are mouthwateringly good. The focal point of the bakery is of course, the counter. There is a paper ticket system for service on busier days. When I went in, it was quiet so ticket optional. We were greeted right away by friendly staff. When I asked for recommendations, Marie took me on a visual and descriptive tour highlighting some of their specialty products. I went for the seasonal maple roll dusted with icing sugar, topped with white chocolate chips and a maple crust. Also took a slice of pear almond tart. They were both $4.50 each. The maple roll was densely packed and so much more than a snack. It's really bready so you could have it for breakfast. Slightly sweet and covered in a light glaze. The tart was light tasting and the pastry was full of buttery goodness. Texture is a little bit interesting because it's a cold tart, the juice from the pears soak into the almond paste and make it a little bit cold and slightly mushy. Some people might not like that but I found it ok. Service is friendly and attentive. Pastries are good but a bit expensive.

We took a few years hiatus from visiting Montreal and then when we returned in 2024, boom, Rossetti had 4 different locations in the downtown core! What's their origin story? I have no idea. Their website has no "About Us" section. All I know is they opened sometime between 2020 and 2024, lol. I tried their caramel eclair ($5.50). The caramel icing was really tasty, but I found the choux pastry and the custard filling a bit dry. They have cannoli, amaretti, financiers, croissants and tarts. They also have sandwiches and pizza. I was disappointed that they didn't have sfogliatella, my favourite Italian pastry. Oh, they also have coffees and teas. The interior is nice with seating to dine in. Service was neutral. Since it looked very similar to Rosetta, we decided to stop in and grab a bite. The sandwiches and pastries were on full display and we knew we made a good choice. I had a Pizza Margherita which was huge...I could have shared it. I also had a caramel tart for a sweet treat afterwards. Others in the group had sandwiches and other sweets which they all enjoyed. There are some stools at a counter downstairs and a little more seating upstairs with a few low tables along with some high tops and counters. The ladies who worked there were very nice. This was very useful when we had an early morning trip to Quebec City. We tried both lattes and espressos, and they were both really good. At least three times, we happened to walk in just as something hot was coming out of the oven. Nothing like a still warm brioche.
