excellent Kourabiades, Melomacarona & Koulourakia ..texture and flavour is perfect!

    Pastries, cookies and almond baclava!

Amazing baklava!! Their store is beautiful and inviting and I'm sure that during normal times it must be so enjoyable to sit and have a coffee and pastry. I picked up a couple of pastries, some cookies and baklava. The pastries and cookies were ok, their baklava were absolutely delicious. They have different sizes and different types: almond, walnut and pistachio. Highly recommend picking some up!!

Top left going across : tiramisu, mocha, Mille feuille, Orel cheesecake, Ferrero rocher, red velvet

I always get their cakes (the big round ones ) for birthday occasions and they're always great. This time I opted to try their smaller cakes and pastries and I wasn't too happy with it. They lacked flavour and just weren't that good... The tiramisu was fine , nothing great 3/5 Mocha was good but was lacking something 3/5 Mille feuille was alright 3.5/5 Oreo cheesecake was just bad no flavour at all 1/5 Ferrero rocher was the most "normal" 4/5 Red velvet was just bad, the top layer is gross 2/5

Wonderful Greek bakery. Clean, bright, great friendly service. Accepts credit cards which only made us buy more stuff. Def a must-stop if in Park Ex.

Gorgeous bakery and exquisite deserts. What a lovely place to sit and enjoy a desert and coffee. I have no idea the names of the deserts but eveything is superbly fresh. Prices are good for 3 deserts and 3 espressos i cost 19,50$. There is easy parking around. Would definitely come back.

The Easter bread is ready :)

On a crisp sunny Easter Saturday we went off the beaten path in search of Easter bread. As you stroll in the Greek neighbourhood, Afroditi is not difficult to find, the aromas of heavenly sweetness spread on the streets surrounding the bakery. One gets easily lost entering this fine establishment, it is difficult to choose between the abundant varieties of pastries, cookies and some traditional for the Balkan peninsula bakery produce. Fortunately the Easter bread continued coming out of the oven, arranged in the middle of the shop it kept reminding me what am I here for. I can't be in a Greek bakery without tasting immediately some traditional pastry, during this visit the kadaif(e) was the chosen one, although the baklava looked not less attractive, thick and layered as I believe it should be made. We had our kadaif(e) in the little sitting section that is made of just few tables. This corner is not really inviting to stay longer, but just sit back for a second, smile at the chocolate Easter bunnies, enjoy the stained glass ceiling, watch the crowd lining up in front of the counters and chatting in Greek. Back to the kadaif(e), perfectly rolled, filled in with lots of walnuts and well soaked in syrup, did I taste honey or it was my happy imagination, don't know anymore, I was in a honeyed heaven. Afroditi bakery is one of these beautiful places that make me love Montreal. Whether you live here or you are just visiting, this is one of the places to go for both the delectable pastry and the amazing feeling how surprisingly diverse is this city. Ah, forgot to mention, the Easter bread was delicious too!

Beautiful Greek bakery that serves delicious sweets and pastries! They offer a wide variety of desserts for a decent price. I tried a few cookies and didn't note the names down, but all are good! Staff is friendly and helpful. If you need help picking something according to your taste, they will offer recommendations.

This place has been a greek landmark since I was a kid. My parents used to send me there with 25 cents to buy a loaf of bread back in the late 60's and its still around. Most of the times when I got home half the bread was gone and still do it to this date!!! It has almost all greek pastries, and many greek imports. 3 types of spinach pies, cheese pies etc...has it all.

This place was hands down a highlight of my Montréal food scene experience. The shop itself is very cute and cozy, with just two small tables by the window and a few chairs. The décor is simple, and so are your choices, which honestly works in their favor. When you step inside, you get a direct view of the bakers working their magic, which makes the experience even better. We ordered a hot chocolate, plain croissants, chocolate croissants, and a slice of the Kouign‑Amann. If you like a dark, rich hot chocolate that's not overly sweet, look no further, this is the place. As for the croissants, both the plain and chocolate versions were good but fairly standard. However, the real star was the Kouign‑Amann. It was served warm, perfectly crispy, and had just the right amount of sweetness without being overwhelming. It was so good that when I finished my slice, I went back to the counter hoping for more but they were sold out. To be fair, I arrived around 2pm and they close at 3pm. Despite that, the line moved quickly, and the staff were some of the sweetest people ever. My only regret? I only bought one slice. I'd highly recommend this place, but make sure you get there early if you want to snag a slice of Kouign‑Amann before they sell out.

We both had a "tranche" /slice /portion of the flaky pastry originating from Brittany. While it does not look like the Kouign Amanns I've had before, it definitely tasted fabulous. We were not the only ones who thought so. While we ate our bounty at one of the two open tables, we saw person after person purchase whole galettes, possibly for an upcoming family gathering. The pastry had a sweet and crunchy crust and a buttery interior. Here, it does not resemble a croissant. Instead, the layers of dough were softer than the typical honeycomb structure of a croissant. Speaking of which, my sister also recommends the croissants here, which she used to have regularly when the shop was open more frequently.

I was intrigued, and since I can always go for some carbs I decided to head in and check this place out. Unlike most bakeries I visited, Boulangerie Guillaume has a much more modern look, and is larger than a standard bakery. Walking in, I was immediately greeted by stairs which led up to the main production area. All of the bakes were arranged on the back-wall perimeter of the space separated from the pedestrians by a glass wall. The color scheme was mostly black to contrast the bright yellow of the bags and signage. The arrangement of the bakes, combined with the color scheme and modern aesthetics, resulted in a stunning, visually striking presentation. I wasn't too hungry, but I can always go for some sweets and their date square looked good. I went with that, along with a cappuccino. The square was delicious - the dates were high quality, and the crust underneath was moist while maintaining its integrity. The cappuccino was also good, a great complement to the bake. Service was efficient, and overall I had a great experience at Boulangerie Guillaume. I definitely want to return to explore more of their menu - I noticed they had some savory items so perhaps for some lunch. Definitely one of the best bakeries I visited in Montreal.

The Long Version: So I had never heard of Rossetti before. They didn't exist when I was living in Montreal (the 2000s) and after I left, my husband (who was still my boyfriend at the beginning) and I would return often (at least a few times a year until 2019) and I'm pretty sure they weren't around then. We took a few years hiatus from visiting Montreal and then when we returned in 2024, boom, Rossetti had 4 different locations in the downtown core! What's their origin story? I have no idea. Their website has no "About Us" section. All I know is they opened sometime between 2020 and 2024, lol. I tried their caramel eclair ($5.50). The caramel icing was really tasty, but I found the choux pastry and the custard filling a bit dry. They have cannoli, amaretti, financiers, croissants and tarts. They also have sandwiches and pizza. I was disappointed that they didn't have sfogliatella, my favourite Italian pastry. Oh, they also have coffees and teas. The interior is nice with seating to dine in. Service was neutral. After climbing to the Kondiaronk Belvedere on Mont Royal, we decided we needed sustenance on our way back down and we spied Rosetti as we were walking back to our hotel. Since it looked very similar to Rosetta, we decided to stop in and grab a bite. The sandwiches and pastries were on full display and we knew we made a good choice. I had a Pizza Margherita which was huge...I could have shared it. I also had a caramel tart for a sweet treat afterwards. Others in the group had sandwiches and other sweets which they all enjoyed. There are some stools at a counter downstairs and a little more seating upstairs with a few low tables along with some high tops and counters. The ladies who worked there were very nice. We enjoyed our food and think it's a great place for a quick bite that's a bit elevated from traditional fast food.
