I usually go to Katy Mills mainly for Bass Pro Shops. I do find myself walking around and checking out some of the other stores though. This mall has been open for a while and all the stores are outlet which saves you quite a bit of money. The selection is not huge, but they do have some pretty good choices and looks like they are getting better. It is pretty far from me which is why I don't go here very often. If I lived in the area, I would probably frequent more. read more

I went to Katy Mills for the first time and absolutely loved it. Lots of activities for kids and great opportunity to shop at bargain prices and a wide variety. Under Armour & Marshall's were awesome. I went to Children's Place to get Easter and Sunday outfits for the kids. First there is only 1 fitting room provided and we had to queue to use it. But what truly upset me was a security in a Segwe was roaming round the shop specifically where I was. I was very curious kept wondering why he was in my vicinity and truthfully confused my 3 kids & I were well dressed. I rarely go shopping so I buy a lot when I get the chance to go shopping so we had loads of items. The security alarm did go off because the cashier forgot to remove the tag from an outfit which was eventually removed after sorting through the clothes and I noticed the security officer was beside me at the exit. Security left immediately they were through sorting my purchase for tags confirming my suspicion he was there because of me. I thought maybe he followed me because I had a large black Under Armour bag filled with UA items and since I spent a bit of time with 3 kids in the fitting room maybe I was stuffing my UA bag with their items. One male attendant was absolutely fantastic so I don't want to discredit the shop but pls note being followed by security is disconcerting and spoils a perfectly lovely shopping outing with your kids. Pls try and treat your customers with more respect and try to be more discreet if you decide to send the Security to keep an eye on your customers who are spending their hard earned money at your shop. read more

This place has seen much better days. I remember when it first opened and was all shinny and new. Plus back then it had more outlet stores than it does currently. Now, it has mostly regular stores with a few outlets peppered in. Also their food court and bathrooms could use a through cleaning. It is a nice place to stop by in the summer heat to get some walking done though, plus they have some interesting people watching. read more

Good outlet places, but I don't choose to go there often. Stores always seem to need cleaning or updating. Lots of closings going on right now. There is a video game/ mini golf/ segway area f you need something inside, but it is expensive. Movie theater is good. Almost never crowded. read more

One of the Best Outlet Malls I've ever been to! Family Fun, Food and shopping all in one. My family could stay here the whole day!

Its a big shopping center that you can bring your kids because they have indoor kids play place and lots of many fund activities. I love to go here because buying my kids clothes. They are always on sale and I love shopping when its on sales. read more

Great mall. When i went it was a weekday and it wasn't very packed,i like that there is so many places to shop at,and the area is nice.

Another mall I am a big fan of. I love all the stores they offer and some of the stuff they offer in the food court is different from what I've had before. Going around this mall there is so much to do. I would love to try out the arcade and the segway place. I'd also like to go back to Rainforest Cafe. It's a nice chill place I can go to hang out. Have been going to Katy Mills since its opening in 1999, witnessed the ups and downs of the mall and I can definitely say, the place is getting better since Simon Malls took over the management. PROS: Better stores, ample parking space, easy access, good combination of entertainment and shopping. CONS: Needs some landscaping improvements, revive the entrances colors and sounds, bring back Starbucks. read more

Katy Mills is actually not a bad place. Since i moved to Katy, it was actually pretty convenient to have everything no more than 5 miles away! The stores are always changing, but for an outlet, they have some pretty cool stuff! The atmosphere is friendly, and the environment is clean! Lots of parking and many great places surround the mall! (Los Cucos, TGI Fridays, Red Lobster, hell even Chuck e. Cheese! The only thing i hate is the little kids walking around having no money and trying to act like gangsters n shit! Stupid!! Overall, the stores are pretty cool, the food court is badass, and the place is decent especially comparing it to other malls like West Oaks or Sharpstown (UGHH!!) XP! Come to katy mills if u care more about saving money on shopping, than some fancy rinydink mall! read more

I try to avoid going to malls during peak hours (so, weekends and Fridays after school lets out), and as such my experience with noisy crowds and long lines hasn't been too much of an issue. Katy Mills gets four stars, in my book, for being an outlet mall - for having name brand, okay-quality shoes, clothing, whatever - at reasonable prices. It gets two stars because, let's face it, a mall is a mall is a mall no matter where you go and the only deviation comes in its organization and overall feel. Some areas of this feel kind of shoddily put together, or haphazardly planned. And, in some ways, it feels kind of cheap. I prefer patronizing local or lesser-known businesses, and definitely enjoy clothes that are not the company's pick for inexpensive and quick sale. Maybe I need more of a mall mentality to review this place, but as it stands, I enjoy going here if I need to find an item quickly and can't drive into Houston to find it. It's an okay mall. Just wanted to give a little info. There is a mall similar (layout and stores) to Katy Mills is Lawrenceville, GA called Discover Mills. It's so funny, when I moved from GA to TX.... I was amazed about everything. I felt right back at home. lol. Anyways, I loooove the Forever 21 in Katy Mills. Oh, and the funniest thing. In GA I parked where Burlington Coat Factory parking lot is at. In Katy Mills, I also park where the Burlington Coat Factory parking lot is too.. haha read more

What can I say, I love a good bargain, and you can find bargains here if you have patience and know where to look. This is the largest and closet (to me at least)outlet center in the Houston area. Additionally it is an indoor outlet center which I believe is a must for the hot Houston summers. If you've been to a Mills mall you know what to expect. I used to live only 3 miles from Discover Mills in the Atlanta, Georgia area so I knew what I was getting in to when I came here. Some of the highlights for me at Katy are the only BassProShop in Houston. If you are an outdoorsy kind of girl like me you definitely wan to check it out. I love the LeggsHaynesBali store as well. Two wonder bras that fit me perfectly for less then $35 is just what the doctor ordered, plus they had that extender I've been looking for that allows me to finally wear my low backed evening gown. The Forever 21 store is vast here. OK they all seem to be big in Houston I admit but I still haven't gotten used to them being so expansive here. I also like that this mall has a Marshall's as opposed to the Ross store that was in Discover Mills. I know it's a similar concept but I find Marshall's to be a much better maintained brand of discount store. Overall this is one of my go to malls in the Houston area and I consider it worth the drive to get here when there are certain things on my shopping list that I know I can't get anywhere else for less. The only things I really miss from my old Mills mall is the full Dave & Busters as opposed to just a large game room, and the Johnny Rockets burger joint, but I guess you can't have everything. read more
