The chicken apple sausages were delicate and delicious, with none of that rubbery casing coming in the way of my chew! My Basque omelette was pretty delicious and very very hardy --- potatoes, mushroom, and peppers kicking up that flavour upstairs. The sourdough toast and the side of cut fruits made it a very robust brunch; I could finish only half the omelette. We love Katrina's. We go there every Saturday morning for breakfast. Last Saturday there was a special linguica omelet on the board. It was probably the best omelet I've ever had there! We did not know our order was put in after a very large phone order. My complaint is that we were not warned. We wouldn't mind waiting if we knew what was happening. This was a very frustrating experience. Do you feel sorry for us? Well don't. Our food was worth waiting an hour, alogether. Then the couple that got seated next to us were served after less that 10 minutes. Those assholes were able to enjoy their beautiful meals almost immediately! Got seated immediately outside. It was a little chilly but the sunny weather made up for it. Inside seating for 2 was a 10 minute wait. For drinks we started with a Bloody Mary & a coffee then proceeded to order the popular Tuscan scramble, Avocado delight omelette and a side of Lemon yogurt pancake. Best breakfast in Auburn, hands down. We've been coming here for years and now that we have children, I STILL recommend it because they have great coloring books and crayons available for kids. My husband and I almost always order the Tuscan Scramble - it's just amazing! That rosemary bread, goat cheese, pesto/sun dried tomatoes and egg combo is just gold! With today being Father's Day, I took my Fiancee to breakfast at Katrina's! When we put our name in for a table for two, the place was packed with two large parties waiting to be seated. They all got seated by the time I went outside to wait for our table for 2. We didn't need to wait very long. We hot our drinks, and ordered our food. Being that it was so busy and crowded we understood that it may take a while for our order to be served. The first thing I will say is don't let the location or Appearance for you. This may be the best breakfast in Auburn. The staff is very friendly and will make recommendations if you ask them. The coffee is strong but tasty and the menu selection has something for everyone. I went with the Tuscan Scramble, which was recommended to me by my waitress. It was amazing. The flavors and textures were perfect together and I loved how it was not same flavors you would get with a regular American breakfast. My waitress also suggested that I get half potato half fresh fruit as my side and I really enjoyed that. Be forewarned... buckle in... be patient with the wait time. We dropped in at 10:30 on a Saturday morning. It started off great. The wait to get a table for two was 17 minutes, we were quoted 15 minutes. So definitely not bad at all. We were seated outside. I noticed that the table (with two folks) that was seated right next to us still didn't get their food at the 45 minute mark. Waiting for a table is one thing, but the wait time to get your food after ordering will likely run a minimum 45 minutes during the weekend brunch hours. We ordered a cheeseburger with a green salad in lieu of fries. $11.25. The patty was hefty. The bacon was thick and cooked perfectly through. Pretty decent standard burger. The blue cheese dressing was thin and watery though. We also ordered the waffle plate; it came with an egg and two pieces of bacon. $10.50. The waffle was delicious. It was Belgian, batter based, crisp, light, and buttered. It was drenched in butter. Mmm. The hostess and waitresses were all fun and sassy.
