Where do I start; Well Kathy's is my go to! They never fail me when it comes to my nails and brows! I have been doing my nails there for a few years now and refuse to have it done anywhere else! Anna and Bri are my go to. They always nail it when it comes to my hands and feet and they know the type of colors I like so they always make suggestions, which is great because it makes you feel like they actually pay attention to what their customers enjoy! DIP NAILS are AMAZING! Lasted me a month and still looked good when I went in for my 4weeks appt. Kathy is amazing! She takes her time to make sure your eyebrows are shaped correctly and takes out just what is needed to give you the right shape for your face! Customer service I must give them two thumbs up, they are always willing to work with my crazy schedule since I call about 100x to reschedule my appts. They are very well presented, the location is always clean and organized. The staff is friendly and always smiling. They always want to make sure you are satisfied with your service. I always leave Kathy's flaunting my nails and brows! Things to keep in mind; Kathy does not take appts for eyebrows service, it is first come first serve which you have to put ur name on a list. She is VERY BUSY (goes to show she's really good at what she does) but it is worth the wait! So if you are someone that is in a rush I suggest you come early right when they open :) read more

I started out wanting to get acrylics while I still could due to osteoarthritis starting to rear its ugly head, but I ended up absolutely loving the people at this salon and wanting to come back basically until the end of time. Everyone at Kathy's is so friendly and down to earth. Every time I go there, I consider it more like I'm going to see old friends, and it's actually something that really improves my mood long term between that and the fact that my nails always look incredible! They have a huge variety of colors, top coats, ways to do different types of nail art, etc. I usually see Anna, and she always does such a great job, and I really enjoy visiting with her. I decided to try this place for my nails because a friend of mine recommended it and they have so many great reviews. Unfortunately I was a tad bit disappointed. I had an appointment for a mani and pedi, I booked it for 10am and I arrived right at 10 but for some odd reason their doors were still closed and they had everyone waiting in a tiny waiting area. It wasn't until about 15 minutes later that someone finally came to get me for my pedicure. Normally when I book a mani and pedi at other places, my nails get done right after my toes or vice versa with no wait in between. However they made me wait about 30-35 minutes after my pedicure before they got started on my manicure and the nail techs weren't even doing anyone's nails while I just waited. My nails came out "OK" not really as nice as I wanted them to look. I HIGHLY doubt I will be returning to this salon. read more

They make you involved in the conversations and it's a relaxing and fun environment. I can tell they they want to provide the best services to their customers. After going to Kathy on a whim, I will never ever allow anyone else to touch my brows! She is simply amazing. What she does is a true work of art. She is so detailed, precise, and works magic on eyebrows. I've been referring her to people every since. You can tell she truly cares about her business and her artistry, and it shines in her work. After my original eyebrow lady sold her business, I was on a mission to find someone that could wax my eyebrows the way I liked. I went to numerous places until I decided to try Kathy's Beauty and Brows. And I'm glad I did, KATHY IS THE QUEEN OF WAXING! The salon is always clean, staff is very friendly, and Kathy always does an amazing job whether it's waxing or makeup. I know in some reviews people say the wait can be long, but if you go on a day that is not a weekend, you can get in quick. Had such a great first experience at Kathy's Beauty and Brows a few weeks ago. My gel manicure and pedicure came out flawlessly. There was a large color selection for anyone that is picky. The pedicure chair was very comfortable and having the TV so close was relaxing as well. But most of all, the whole staff at Kathy's were funny and so nice! They instantly made me feel comfortable. If you believe the one star review, then go to Kathy's and take a look. I guarantee that the waiting room will be filled with walk ins, willing to wait 45 minutes plus for their turn. I had put it off too long and my kid was getting married. I went twice in one day but the line was long and I had a lot of errands and I kept missing my turn. I ended up standing outside the door at 9:30am so I could be first in line. When they opened at 10, the line was already 5 people long.Do you think someone who was so incompetent that they injured someone, could generate loyal customers like that? read more

I would give it NO stars if I could! If you want to play Russian roulette with your eyebrows, wait for Kathy to get back from a 30 minute lunch, when she really takes an hour, and you can waist 2/3 of your day in aggravation with the stupid sign in method and be told their are 6 "people" "technically" before you...than this is the place for you! Good Luck. I rather go on west boylston st where my time and money are appreciated and treated with curtesy. I have been a customer of Kathy's from way before she opened up her own business and now her eyebrow services are mediocre at best, the place is cute aesthetically but the vibe is as stale as an old fart. With waiting periods averaging over an hour, you would expect to be greeted with a smile but instead you get a slender young man at the desk with the personality of a swamp frog. This place gets NO STARS from me but Yelp made me give it one. Kathy isn't consistent with her eyebrow waxing, one day they might be okay the next week you leave wanting to cry because you know you will have to grow them out for a month cause she did a bad job. I've been a long time client and I literally get anxiety when I have to get them done. I finally got sick of waiting for ever for people on THE LIST to show up or Kathy's LUNCH break to be over (30minutes -1 hour)...and now I go else where.
