Joe and his staff are top notch!! The first time I called Joe I was in a panic because a hose on my water heater had busted and was spraying water all over my laundry room at 8:00 at night. Joe was the 4th plumber I called. The others were either rude, didn't respond from answering service or said they couldn't come out til the next day or later without addressing my problem. Joe patiently explained what I could do to temporarily fix the problem so he wouldn't have to come out immediately and charge off-hours fees. He arrived before noon the next day and was able to not only fix the problem but thoroughly explain what happened, inspect the unit and installation and make recommendations for what needed to be done to make the unit safer/up to code. He even found a place where the installation was so shoddy that it was leaking carbon monoxide!! He fixed that immediately, thank god. The second time I had a problem my sink would not drain whatsoever. Joe was not available that time but the plumber he sent was equally knowledgable, professional and thorough. He explained that we have old galvanized pipes that have gotten corroded and recommended that they eventually be replaced. He was polite and courteous on the phone and was able to accommodate a time and schedule that worked for both of us. On the day of the appointment, he called prior to his arrival to let me know he would be coming. It was a bit more difficult than expected to unclog the drain, but Joe persisted and was able to complete the job successfully. If you're looking for a reliable plumber, this is not the place. Joe came out to assess our plumbing needs. It was a very simple job, we just needed a new bath stop and the addition of an under-sink water filter. He seemed competent and professional, and said he would get the parts and contact me the next day. Days passed with no follow-up, so I contacted him to schedule the installation date. I had to call several times without any return calls back, but he still had my original fixture that he took with him to match, so I really tried to make this work. He scheduled a repair date three different times over the next month and cancelled only an hour before EACH time. The last time he didn't even bother to cancel - he just never showed up. So I lost three days of work, for nothing but frustration. My experience with Kassman Plumbing was terrible. Look elsewhere if you actually want to get your job done. read more

I called Joe early one morning (5ish) when I discovered a leak in the garage. The down pipe draining the upstairs bathroom was cheaply cast iron from China which had cracked at the seam (extruded and welded). I told him I had to be at work by 9. He got to my house at 6am with the code correct size pipe in pvc, opened up the drywall, replaced the pipe and clamps and even cleaned up the area after he was done.
